I am in Poland at the moment,. .

They drive on the wrong side of the road! This made my bus ride very interesting, and I think the actually have a competition to see how many pedestrians they can knock down!

So, this is actually my first country that has not been English speaking.(native) Its actually very scary, kinda creepy and a hell of a lot of fun! Although when you see a bottle of coke for 7 Poland Zlotych, you freak a little, then you work out that its okay its only 2 Euro, which is meh. . but thats $3.70 . . .that an expensive bottle of Coke. (A big Mac is 11 Zlotych. . .)

Anyway, going to take myself out for a walk, C ya sooN! (39 Days until I reach Aussie Soil!)

Prays please, as on day 16 I became sick, and and now I get to skip a country and stay in Germany for 3 days doing veyr little because I am quite Unwell. . .

Well, they are discharging me today, so I am going to be okay. So I still get 2 days in Germany, and I continue to head on my way around the world.

Well, on top of the world at the moment. . .almost literally. . .as I am at the very top of Sweden, where one can see the Northern Lights, and the Ice-hotel is being built just down the street. . .it will be open November some time.

With about 2inchs of snow, and -7 tonight but clear skies. . .its midnight and no northern lights for me yet. . .but maybe tomorrow. . .apparently according to the locals its not cold enough and rather early in the season despite the fact that science say there is always northern lights. . .

ANYHOW, I thought I would tell you a story, slightly. . well very embarrassing, but they are the best kind.

I will never laugh at stupid tourist questions again. . .as tonight while wondering the snow covered streets, my eyes to the heavens, I found a local and asked. . .

"So when do you turn on the Northern Lights?"

Only when he responded with "You do know, we don't actually turn then on or off. . .right?" did I realize the stupidity of my question. . .4 weeks traveling, little sleep and long plane flights and its REALLY COLD. . .DONT MAKE FUN OF TOURISTS! . . its not our fault. . .

 

Lol. I know what it is like to travel on a plane for more than a couple of hours.
I once flew from Baltimore, Maryland to Reykjavík, Iceland then on to Oslo, Norway. It was 5 Hours from Baltimore to Reykjavík, and another 2 hours onto Oslo.

 

So, not long now. Should we be starting a countdown?
