::Bain and his warriors searched the area and found only another temple. It was guarded slightly by a few, but nothing dramatic::

Bain: Taryn, we've found something here. We will investigate this more closely, however, I'm afraid the meeting at Coruscant will leave something open to my knowledge. Send a droid in my place. I have faux gear; set it up and send it with a few of my crew.

Taryn: Yes, sir. Shall we continue our orbit?

Bain: Yes, stay there.

Taryn: Yes.

::From the bay of the Vengeance, a small group of fighters took off and headed into hyperspace towards Coruscant::

OOC: Hey Mirax-Terrik, many welcomes.

IC: Serin felt slightly in a daze, almost as if she hadn?t been around to experience the events of the past few hours ( ). One moment, the trio was at the Jedi temple in front of Master Skywalker, which was always quite intimidating to Serin. Seemingly the next moment, they were off to the peace talks, and got news Ilyx had fell from a building, and the Dark Jedi (?was he even that dark after all??) they?d run into on Fest was there, but something was strange and Kai had gone off to the meeting, while Kalai and her had been escorting Ilyx to the med-centre, but they didn?t even get there. And now they were in a garden not far from the talks, and Serin had trouble getting her head around it all.

Taking a deep breath to clear her head, a thought touched her that she needed to rebuild her second lightsaber. Serin couldn?t help but smile a little at the strange timing of the thought.

Watching Ilyx get set up, Serin gave Kalai an unsure look and seconded her comment. ?I trust there is a reason behind this, commander Aran. Not to question General Antilles or anything, but I don?t feel anything overtly worrisome. A little strange, maybe, but nothing bad.?

While she trusted Ilyx after their time on Fest, the young Jedi wanted to get a better overall view of what was going on. So, giving a little nod and smile to Kalai, Serin moved off to the side a bit.

Knowing Kai could probably hear her thoughts, but not entirely trusting her own telepathy, Serin signalled Kai?s comlink. ?Sorry to intrude, Master Halicon, but is everything alright??

Moving into the bushes, Ilyx realised that the only weapon he had was a small blaster pistol. Finding some dense cover, he began wishing that he had his sniper rifle with him. As he lowered himself down to the ground, he heard Serin say,

?I trust there is a reason behind this, commander Aran. Not to question General Antilles or anything, but I don?t feel anything overtly worrisome. A little strange, maybe, but nothing bad.?

Ilyx offered a reasuring glance, and told her, "I'm probably coming over as a bit paranoid, but if I'm stuck in a medical bay while all this is going on, and something happens, I'm just going to feel bad." And the Wraiths will rib me for the next few seasons! Ilyx silently added, not wanting to reveal his secret status, not yet anyhow.

With that, Ilyx was quiet, focusing directly on the meeting and nothing else. However it was not as easy to quieten the voices in his head.

She has a good point, nothing is going to happen. You're paranoid.

Shut up. I know. But I can't just sit around and do nothing.

From within the meeting room, the silent vibrating motor in his comlink throbbed for a moment and Kai Halicon was alerted to the presence of someone trying to contact him. He glanced over at Mon Mothma, who was extending Kai's invitation/welcome speech to Lance a little more diplomatically.

He was a little suprised at the events of recent but was well aware of the fact that the Force sometimes wove its magic in a strange and curious fashion. He moved to the far end of the room and activated the wrist-comlink's receiving mode.

?Sorry to intrude, Master Halicon, but is everything alright??

Serin's voice was familiar despite the slight static on the comlink and Kai half-smiled. He still wasn't used to being called 'Master' by anyone other than Camden; even Liana just called him by his surname.

"Things are...... interesting, Serin. They've definitely taken a few twists and turns. It appears our Force-weilding friend from Fest has defected to our side. I can't really disclose much more but I'll probably be out of here in a few minutes so I'll find you then."

The Force came to him at his simple request and he found Serin just a few hundred metres away, in the garden courtyard. Her thoughts rested on her underconfidence in her telepathy and her desire to rebuild one of her damaged lightsabers. Kai had to admit he was impressed by her use of dual sabers; few Jedi could master the use of two blades and as such, there were very few practitioners of the art. Kai had attempted it early in his youth with some degree of success but his secondary lightsaber, the cobalt-blue blade that had been a gift from his own Jedi Master now rested in the care of Camden, his own apprentice.

"Serin...I don't mean to intrude on your thoughts, but if you need to repair your lightsaber, I have a surplus of parts onboard the Rogue Knight. We can sort it out soon enough. Just for the record, Kai will do fine as far as names go. Master Halicon makes me sound like I should have a walking stick and be pondering retirement when someone my own age refers to me as that."

Grinning, he shut down the comlink. Wondering how Camden and Liana were doing, he reached out with the Force and called to them.

Camden replied first, almost the minute Kai ceased his thoughtcall.

I'm still up here on the balcony. Have you got new orders yet?"

Kai thought for a moment.

Not yet. You and Lia should come down to the central level now. Commander Aran and the Jedi Knights are below you in thr courtyard. I'll meet you there soon.

Leaving his conversation, Kai turned back to Lance to see what he had to suggest as to their next course of action.

::Bain crouched high above the fround inside the temple. He watched everything as it happened: young jedi lightsaber training with eachother, meditation of the Force. He saw everything that happened around him, inside the temple and out::

As Serin silently conversed with Halicon, Ilyx's attention was grabbed by a flash overhead. Looking up, he saw the SSD Lusankya turn on it's lateral axis and head away from the planet. Not hesitating, Ilyx grabbed a comm link and contacted the space cruiser.

"Lusankya, this is Aran. Is everything alright?"

The voice of General Antilles replied. "Ilyx, we're receiving distress signals from the Yavin system - the SSDVengeance has been spotted insystem. We're going to take a look."

"OK, I'll see you soon. Aran out."

Ilyx turned to his two friends, and told them the awful news. "A Super Star Destroyer has been spotted approaching Yavin 4!"

IC AS KALAI

Kalai was stood leaning against a tree, watching Serin contacting Kai and Ilyx contacting his comrades onboard the Lusankya. Ilyx finished his transmission and looked at Serin and herself. His face looked concerned
"A Super Star Destroyer has been spotted approaching Yavin 4!"
Kalai heart dropped into her stomach when she heard Ilyx's words. Yavin 4 was her home. Where she had found out about her real heratige, trained along her friends and fellow Jedi.
"Oh No...They can't...they wouldn't!" Suddenly Kalai was rocked by a vision...

~~A young man, about the same age as Kalai, was walking down the familiar corridors of the yavin facility. As if he was heading outside. He reached the door at the end. Suddenly an explosion blew the door open, throwing the young man to the floor. An armoured man walked in with an army of troopers. Darktroopers! A few more Jedi had heard the explosion and ran to assist their fallen comrade. Lightsabers ignited, they tried to stop the troopers but were shocked to see that their lightsabers had no effect. Blaster fire and sword arms cut them down in their tracks ans screams filled the air.~~

The vision ended and Kalai fell to her knees. Breathing heavily and slightly shaken. She had never experienced such a real and disturbing vision before...

Ilyx watched as Kalai seemed to enter some sort of trance, before falling to her knees amidst the dense jungle. Rushing over, Ilyx hoped that the Lusankya would arrive in time to stop the raiders.

After making sure that Kalai was alright, Ilyx turned to Serin, his head spinning. "Serin, contact Halicon and tell him what is happening in the Yavin system!"

Ilyx had never been to the Jedi Academy before, but it looked like that was about to change in the near future...

::Bain watched as the Darktroopers invaded the temple::

Bain: Hm, another attack?

::As he watched, Jeno and Rana came from behind him to watch as well. Leaping down, they ran down a corridor and out of the temple::

Bain: Taryn, there was talk of a Super Star Destroyer on approach to Yavin IV. Was it the Vengeance?

Taryn: Sir, we are the only large craft in the sector... We would have seen it entering.

Bain: There was another attack: Darktroopers. I need you to gather information on this. My allies had not informed me of this.

Serin smiled as Kai told her to call him by his first name. She was used to it being expected that you address a Jedi Master as such, but she had to admit it felt a little odd calling someone barely older than herself "Master".

As Serin closed up her call, Ilyx was contacting General Antilles aboard the Lusankya as they broke orbit. Serin couldn't quite make out the words over the comm, but the look on Ilyx's face betrayed everything...
"A Super Star Destroyer has been spotted approaching Yavin 4!"

Serin froze in her spot as the words came out. No. They couldn't possibly... she thought to herself as her lower lip and hands began to tremble.

She felt disconnected until she heard Kalai speak. "Oh No...They can't...they wouldn't!" The younger woman's voice cut off and Serin looked over to see her frozen in place, obviously feeling something awful through the force. Suddenly Kalai came to and fell to her knees...

Serin was at her side a half a heartbeat before Ilyx. As she touched the younger Jedi she'd come to think of almost as a younger sister, she felt the sensations flash from Kalai to Serin...

~~A young man, walking down the familiar corridors of the yavin facility. He reaches the door at the end. An explosion throwing the young man to the floor. An armoured man and an army of troopers. Darktroopers! The Jedi hear the explosion and run to assist. Lightsabers ignited, they tried to stop the troopers but they're unable. Blaster fire and sword arms. Screams fill the air.~~

Never had Serin felt something so intense. She broke off from Kalai and stumbled a few paces away, letting out a sorrowful scream as tears filled her eyes.
Almost absently, she hear Ilyx saying she should contact Halicon. While she was fairly certain he'd already know, she reached for her comlink. Through tears and clenched teeth, Serin signalled Kai. She was actually surprised how hoarse, and worse, how angry she sounded, but she couldn't help it.

"Kai, you felt it? We have to get to the academy, NOW! We'll meet you, Liana and Camden at the ship."

Serin helped Kalai to her feet, and then in a flash, she was off to get a transport back to the Rogue Knight, her thoughts already jumping ahead to the coming conflict.

::As Bain and his warriors rounded a corner, they saw a Darktrooper looming over them. Bain ducked just as the trooper raised his blaster and produced a violent shot aimed for his head::

Bain: We must return to the ship! Retreat!

::The 5 ducked out of the temple and were amazed that they had made it outside alive. They ran for the hill as they watched a small group of Jedi running for their own ship::

Bain: Taryn, ready the Vengeance. We're leaving. The Darktroopers are hostile.

Taryn: Yes, sir. Where shall we head?

Bain: We must get back to Coruscant. We must inform the council of this.

::Bain hopped into his Fury and lifted off with his wingmates. As they lifted farther up, they watched as the Jedi's ship did the same::

Bain: Wings, return to the ship. Jeno, you are in command of the fighters. I'm going to follow the others. Taryn, you command the fleet to Coruscant.

Jeno: Yes, sir. Thank you, sir.

Taryn: Sir, what of the Darktroopers?

Bain: Until we find who is responsible, there is nothing we can do.

Taryn: Sir, the fleet is turning to Sector 0.

Bain: Good. Stay in touch, I'm not sure where I will be taken.

::The wings returned to the bay of the Vengeance and the ship shot into hyperspace towards Coruscant as Bain followed the Jedi::

After a quick stop-off to collect Camden and Liana, the emergency air-taxi carrying Ilyx and the two Jedi dropped them off at Senate Landing Pad #989, where the Rogue Knight had been parked. Although Ilyx hadn't seen Kai get on a transport or leave the building, he was sure that the Jedi Master was not far behind.

As the four Jedi prepared to board the ship, Ilyx hit a small commlink on his waist and said the words, "Phanan-Oh-Seven.", before leaping from the side of the skyscraper. Leaning over, Camden shook his head. "Not again!"

But nobody felt a cry of pain from Ilyx in the Force, and sure enough a trio of X-Wing starfighters rose from the depths of Coruscant, Ilyx in the cockpit of the leftmost one. Opening the cockpit, he set down next to his astonished allies, smiling at the petrified looks on their faces.

"I really need to stop doing that."

Before anybody could laugh at his awful jokes, Camden pointed at the X-Wings and blurted out, "Those are the markings of Wraith Squadron!"

Ilyx went a little red and looked away, guiltily. "Ah, yes...well, the truth is I'm a member of the Wraiths."

"Wow!" the boy seemed awed.

Closing the cockpit again, to shield himself from the downpour of rain, Ilyx first told his friends, "Captain Loran and Lieutenant Targon here are going to help me escort the Knight away from Coruscant. Who knows what may happen, now the Lusankya has left the system. We'll wait until Kai arrives, and then we'll head to Yavin.[/i]

OOC: Please remember that, within reason, all NPCs are able to be killed. Also remember that the plot doesn't follow Outcast to the letter, as many of you have chosen to accept. Thank you.

IC:

Lance sensed a dark rising in the forests, and then remembered one certain darkness in particular that he felt he should have dealt with earlier. "On the Yavin thing," he muttered, "I second that!" He then ran to the hangar, determined to get there at any cost.

After a flight through hyperspace, an SSD is not something to see. That goes double when it works with an ISD. Quick flying kept Lane alive long enough to reach the planet surface. Strangely, though, he felt much stronger than before. Terrifyingly stronger. (All participants, see next OOC notice.) As soon as he entered the courtyard, he was able to see the Sith woman clearly. She stood with full guard detail around her, 4 Reborn and 2 Shadow Troopers.

OOC: More on this encounter later. As for the Yavin thing... I have this to say. Those of you who played Outcats will probably remember the little fountain of energy in the middle of the Academy. I am going to use it in this RPG as a source of an unspeakably strong power. For all Force-sensitive players, landing on Yavin IV will gain for you one free power of your choice, at Rank 2 out of 3. All of you may post these powers OOC in your next posts, or whenever you arrive.

AJM, this means that you should pick one for your next post.

Has anyone heard from KnightHawk? He hasn't posted in a couple of days; hopefully he'll come back soon.

Mirax-Terrik, I'll try and lead your character in on this post.

IC: For a moment, just as he'd finished his contact with Camden, Kai felt calm and relaxed. It was a curious senstation, just like the eerie quiet that precluded a powerful storm.

A millisecond later, Kai's telepathy exploded like a starcruiser being blown into a billion fragments.

Kai had no time to cry out in shock as the psionic surge of raw emotion hit him, burrowing into the depths of his pysche and soul. The Jedi's right eye, scarred around the edges from the lightsaber wound in his youth, flashed a scarlett red and the young man feel to his knees. Jumbled images, hued in sepia flooded his mind's eye.

Jedi.....Yavin.....Academy.......danger! A conflict.....pain.......sorrow......DEATH......!!!!!!

And with that, the Jedi Master called out in a scream, shattering every single window on that floor of the senatorial building, showering his weakened form in a storm of glass that managed to barely cut him before he slumped to the floor.

Mon Mothma approached him as two gaurds dashed into the room. The mature senator nodded them away and they stood watch outside the door. Kai looked up to see Lance for a moment, but his vision blurred and the older man was gone.

"Master Halicon....! What happened?" Mon Mothman remarked as helped up the fragile-looking young man. Blood ran from his nose and his olive pigment had faded to a pale white. He had the look of a frightened animal in his dark eyes.

Of all his Force powers, psionic abilities were Kai's most formidable. His telekinesis rivalled Jedi Knights with years more experience and his telepathy was able to sense the most private thoughts with less than a conscious effort. The downside was that when his psionics did kick in, they could have a physical effect on him. For the most part, he could curb his potent skills but sometimes, they took him by surprise, like now.

"There's a battle.....on Yavin..... the Jedi academy....."

Mon Mothma went to reply, but Kai raised his hand for her to pause as he felt a familiar psionic presence in his already aching mind.

Master Skywalker.

Kai! Did you have the vision as well? Many Jedi have reported seeing the despair on Yavin.

Kai stretched out with his thoughts in response.

Yes, I've seen the destruction. What are your orders?

Skywalker responded in an instant.

Go to Yavin and investigate. I can already sense that your companions are ready to depart, they merely await your return.

I'll be there as soon as possible, Master Skywalker. What are you thoughts on Lance McCallister?

I'm not sure yet Kai. His path is clouded. Only time will tell. Always in motion, the future is, Master Yoda once told me.

I understand. Will we have any backup on Yavin?

Our resources are stretched at the present time with the Dark Trooper crisis at the moment - I can't spare any more Jedi. You'll be on your own apart from whatever NR support you can muster.

I have a contact who delivers supplies to Yavin whom I may be able to contact for some aide. Take care, Master Skywalker.

And you, Master Halicon.

Kai stood, brushing glass off his coat. He wiped the blood from his nose and turned to Mon Mothma.

"The Dark Troopers have attacked the Jedi Academy on Yavin IV. I must go and aide my fellow Knights."

Mon Mothma nodded.

"I expected no less. I'll try and arrange some military support for you from General Antillies under Ilyx Aran's commmand."

"Thank you, ma'am."

Kai bowed slightly and made his way out the door, standing on broken glass as he did so.

"Force be with you, Master Halicon."

Kai got on the elevator and activated his comlink, sending a direct line to Ilyx and Serin and Camden at the same time.

OOC: Just out of interest, I'll probably be away for the next few days as there's a long holiday weekend coming up here in New Zealand and I don't have my PC at home working.

If you guys want to keep my character in the background go for it. I don't forsee him doing much apart from going to Yavin anyway but ya can use him in NPC format if req'd.

Dropping out of hyperspace in the Yavin system, Ilyx gave a thumbs up to his two wingmates as they peeled off of formation, rejoining the Lusankya as it approached Yavin, fighters bleeding out of it's docking bay. Opening a comm channel to the Knight, Ilyx said, "Alright, I'm not familiar with Yavin, so you'll have to guide me in."

Dropping behind the Knight, Ilyx powered up his laser cannons, and started scanning the area.

This is going to get messy...

::Bain followed the Jedi ship blindly. Getting nowhere, he decided to join with his fleet::

Bain: Taryn, I'll be entering your airspace in 2 Standard hours.

Taryn: Sir, we've recieved a message from your father. It seems he has travelled to Coruscant. We will be meeting him there.

Bain: Have you any idea why he's there?

Taryn: He said only that he would be joining a council of Planetary leaders.

Bain: I see. How long until you reach Coruscant?

Taryn: We have yet another 10 Standard hours.

Bain: Good. I'll be joining you less than half a Parsec from Sector 0.

::Bain flew in silence, deep in thought. He pulled out of hyperspace just as he neared his fleet. Landing in the bay, he was greeted by Taryn and an Imperial Officer::

Taryn: Sir, it is good to have you back. This is Lieutenant Qersol. He docked with us only minutes ago.

Bain: It's a pleasure. Where are you from?

Qersol: I'm from the Naval Training Base at Carida. My squadron was ambushed near Corellia. I called for help and your crew helped me aboard.

Taryn: It seems he, too, is travelling to Coruscant.

Bain: ANy more word from my father?

Taryn: No, sir. He broke transmission with us some time ago.

Qersol: Your father. Who is he?

Bain: King Bain Mereel Chorz I of Cheln.

Qersol: Ah, I've heard of him. He's funded the Imperial Navy many times.

Bain: Yes. He was a Commander during the time of Emperor Palpatine.

::A Lieutenant strode to Taryn's side::

Lt: Sir, we will be entering the orbit of Coruscant momentarily.

Taryn: Good. Sir, shall you prepare for your arrival?

Bain: I shall. I've prepared the Fury. Have an officer prepare a Lambda-class and 4 wings for my guards. I'll need them in Royal armor for this occasion.

Lt: Yes, sir.

Qersol: I will take my leave of you, then.

Bain: It was a pleasure.

::Qersol entered his TIE Interceptor and flew down to Coruscant. Bain entered his craft while his guards Jeno, Rana, and the others entered their crafts. Taryn, 3 Lieutenants, and 2 guards entered the Shuttle and blasted off, decending to Coruscants Main Sector::

"Finally i'm off this rock," Mira Savid thought to herself as her ship lifted off of Naboo , "Now i can finally get to business." She locked her nav computer onto the coordinates for Yavin 4 , and sat back and fell asleep.


6 HOURS LATER

Mira was awakened by the sound of her nav computer giving her the 60 second countdown to realspace. She strapped herself in as she prepared to her the Honor to leave hyperspace.

5...4...3...2...1

The Honor reverted to realspace on the edge of the Yavin System. A few kilometers ahead of her was a Super Star Destroyer,along with many small ships surrounding it.


She quickly opened a channel to the Super Star Destoryer

"Unknown Super Star Destoryer this is Captain Mira Savid on the ship Savid Honor I'm here to deliver supplies to the Jedi Acadamy. What are you doing here?

 

OOC: I said I'd post more about the fight... Here I go.

IC:

Tavion turned around as soon as Lance had entered the courtyard. She had an evil smile on her face, vile enough to chill even the strongest warrior's blood. "So," she said, "it appears as though the Republic has fallen for your little 'defection' game. Good work, Lance. You were always the expert con artist."
Lance scowled at the woman, his hatred immense. "And you, Tavion, were always my worst student. In case you can't tell, the 'defection' game was not a game!" With that, he removed his ID badge and threw it to the ground, stomping it under his boot.

Five minutes later (deleted to save time) there were six corpses on the floor between the two warriors. The two that wore the cortosis-steel armor were headless, and the others had been brutally butchered in many strange ways, including a lightsaber to the heart of one of the pathetic wretches. Lance turned to tavion, memory feeding his hatred and his power. A fireball burned in his soul, and he extinguished the lightsaber in his left hand, letting the orb of death take its place. "I'll never forgive you," he said, "for what you did those many years ago. I'll never forgive you for celebrating my wife's death. Never." He lunged forward, the black blade in his right hand slashing through the air with a dark trail of devastation behind it.

Kalai paced the hold of the knight Trying to keep focused and calm. But she couldn?t get the vision out of her head. Fearing for her friends and allies, thoughts swirled in her mind

Calming herself down, she lost her train of thought when she heard Ilyx coming through a comm channel to the knight
"Alright, I'm not familiar with Yavin, so you'll have to guide me in."
She came to the console and pressed the comm link
?Sure no problem Ilyx. I?ll send you the co-ordinates
She typed at the nav computer
?Ok, they should show up on your screen in a few minutes. Anyway, how are you feeling after your ahem? unique entrance to the conference??

Smiling at the mention of his recent misadventure, Ilyx assured Kalai that he was alright, and thanked her for the coordinates. Over the comlink he heard a voice say, "Unknown Super Star Destoryer this is Captain Mira Savid on the ship Savid Honor I'm here to deliver supplies to the Jedi Acadamy. What are you doing here?" .
He heard the reply, "This is General Antilles, we're here to defend the Academy; it has come under attack. Any help would be nice."

Ilyx drifted over towards the Honour, and communicated with the new ship. "Hi, my name is Ilyx Aran and we're also here to help, do you want to follow us in?"

?Hi, my name is Ilyx Aran and we're also here to help, do you want to follow us in?? the male voice from the other side of the comm said.

?I?ll be happy to join you, General Antilles. Thank you Captain Aran .I?ll follow you in. And while we?re at it can you tell me what?s going on here??

Mira turned in her seat and whispered to her artoo unit copilot ?Dac, Prepare the ship for combat.? She turned back around and waited for a reply from Captain Aran.
