In the interest of keeping this going as long as possible, I am leaving th Reborn and Shadow Troopers around the place under Remnant control. As noticed in my last IC post, all DT units are now in control of the Republic. Unlike in the game "Jedi Outcats", the eemy has taken complete control of the Academy and must be killed.

Also, I have noticed that not many of you have taken me up on the offer of increasing your powers after landind on Yavin IV. The offer is still open...

    IC:

A blue ghost entered the courtyard, quite calm despite the pain endured over the many years. It looked like an old Imperial officer with a pair of lightsabers at its belt. It also looked like it had something to say.
"Kai," the ghost started, "I'd like to take this time to thank you for saying those last words for me."
He paused, unsure of how to continue. Suddenly, the words came like magic. "The darkness that was in me was nothing more than an agreement between friends. I made a deal with the Dark Side that I would be immortal until I had killed all those who were in any way pleased with the death of my wife. With that finished, I suffered the damage of the most severe injury I had been exposed to during the time of the deal: a laser to the base of the skull and instant death.
"You worried about joining the Dark Side a second time. Well, I think I just proved to you that the Dark Side can be used for good. Case in point: the Sith Apprentice over there is dead because of the Dark Side. I offer to you a chance to use it once more. Something evil is afoot here, and I believe that a combined power is needed to defeat it. If you need help in any of the coming battles, just call to that Hall of Champions that you described earlier, and I will appear.
"May the Force be with you, Master Halicon."

::Bain and his father entered a courtyard on the fourth moon of Yavin. They saw a figure standing in thecenter speaking to some kind of "ghost". The ghost suddenly disappeared and the group walked over::

Bain: You there, who are you? Where is the master of this facility?

    IC:

The ghost turned to the visitor, enjoying the invisibility yet willing to talk with almost anybody.
"Bain," it said, "I see you brought your father and some of your troops. However, why are you here?" The ghost then showed himself. It seemed almost impossible that it would be there, since it was the man lying dead on the ground. However, some things are not impossible, especially for a ghost that will soon depart from the face of the galaxy...

"The master of this facility is not here at this time." The ghost hesitated for a moment. "As for who I am, look at the corpse over there." He then indicated the fallen warrior with the two lightsabers. "That corpse is who I am." He then looked around. "This Jedi Master behind me is my friend," he said with finality.

Well, this felt weird. Ilyx had just been given the largest promotion of his life - head of a project. Various thoughts swam around his head, suprisingly none of them involving using the DTs to take over the Galaxy.

Using his comm links hyper-communication system to communicate with the Devastator, he ordered it to return to Yavin as soon as possible, and deploy all avaiable Dark Troopers in the deep jungle south of the Praxeum.

The Imps have one big ambush waiting for them!

OOC: *Whew*....some interesting twists. Hopefully this RPG isn't going to slow down anytime soon - it's one of the few new ones that hasn't slowed to a complete halt.

IC: As if in a daze, Kai departed the courtyard after the curious events of the past few minutes had transpired. He left his coat and weapons save his lightsaber behind, the former now drapped over the corspe of McCallister, which he'd moved into one of the undamaged rooms downstairs, if only out of respect for the body.

He'd been most suprised to see the spiritual image of McCallister appear before him and offer him advice, hinting at the coming of more darkness and evil. Part of him was disturbed that Lance had managed to bargain with the Dark Side for so long but Kai could sense no more shrouding on Lance's psionic residue and it confirmed the fact that in death, Lance's deal with darkness has been reneged.

The Jedi Master found his way to the meeting hall, the same place where he'd seen the window from the swamp. The room was large and empty, generally used for meetings and the like, but was as quiet as a tomb now. Making his way to the window, Kai stared out across the forrests of Yavin. The sun was almost gone now, the cloak of night covering the sky.

Kai was well aware of the fact that their were hordes of Reborn and Shadowtroopers out there, hiding in the wilderness but he could sense none of them close by. In truth, he'd made his way up here in order to find some peace for the moment. Lance's words, about embracing the Dark Side had shocked him, but in some ways, he had found the idea of it almost .... tempting.

Lance was almost invincible when we fought. I wonder if I might be able to achieve that same status.....

He reached out the Force to his allies.

It's Kai. I'm up in the meeting hall on the upper level. KnightHawk is dead. I think you'd all better get up and here and we can decide on the next course of action.

Bain II's visions were correct. He turned under the Star Destroyer and locked onto the hull as his TIE's sped into the bay::

I don't know why, but I'm going to stick with being buried in the stone Hell-hole.

On other notes... If anybody is willing, there is a possible fighting frenzy coming up. I am going to use the following numbers as fill-in spaces for the amount of soldiers currently inhabiting Yavin IV's Jedi Academy.

    ShadowTroopers: 50
    Reborn: 50
Dark Troopers, Phase I: 25, presently unaffected by leadership change
Dark Troopers, Phase II: 25, presently unaffected by leadership change

Here are the stats for the cargo hold on the Devastator...

    DTI: 100, under Republic control
    DTII: 50, under Republic control

While reading through the new policy thread, I noticed someone suggest something about including fate in the actions that happen in the RPGs. I am officially taking that into account in the expected unholy war that might break out at the Academy. Please be aware that regular scripted action will be posted under the heading 'GM'. All fate actions will have the heading 'FATE'. (I know, I know, I'm being too obvious. ;))

    Thank you.

EDIT: Based on KnightHawk's choice to have his corpse still at the Academy.

IC:Kai, feeling the chill of the night air creeping in, went downstairs to the small side room where he'd stowed KnightHawk's corpse, to find it still on the table where he'd placed it. His coat covered the corpse but he replaced it with a spare robe he'd found and reclaimed his coat.

The Jedi donned the black leather coat once more, feeling a reassuring feel of the garment as he put it on. It had been his Jedi father's and he'd inherited it when he'd come to Yavin to study at the Academy, though much of his training was done on Coruscant. He preferred Yavin - it reminded him of Tyrol.

Kai stepped down into the hanger. There were a few speeder bikes in the southern end of the complex and a damaged R4 unit nearby. An old Z-95 Headhunter was in the western corner and Kai found himself drawn to it. He approached it and smirked.

When he was living on Tyrol, his unlce had owned a mechanical workshop and they'd serviced a few of these old relic fighters. Kai had a fondness for them; though they were inferior to an X-Wing, they were slightly quicker if souped up and still a formidable fighter. He walked around it once, then stopped abruptly as he felt a tremor in the Force.

There's someone else here.... and not anyone I know.

He came around from the Z-95 to come face to face with a tall hooded figure, clad in simple yellow and red robes. Kai stepped out into the open as the figure paced back and forth. Kai didn't need the Force to realise that this was one of the rogue Reborn soldiers Desann had created. He watched as the Reborn thumbed the simplistic-looking black lightsaber hilt in it's hands and a ruby blade leapt to life with a jolt of energy.

"Jedi...!" It called in a contorted voice and ran at Kai. The Jedi Master called to the Force and his lightsaber flew off his belt into the palm of his right hand, the bright emerald blade emerging with a resounding snap-hiss. Assuming a Form IV overhead blocking pose, Kai was ready to fight.

The Reborn's saber hacked down, but Kai was swifter, raising his blade to block the blow and twirling around 360 degrees to moved behind the Reborn but his wiley opponent turned as quickly and their blades met again. The Reborn struck at him in quick succession but Kai was able to parry all the attacks. He ducked low and thrust his blade forwards, the tip of it nicking the Reborn's right side. It scowled in pain and hacked downwards again. Kai managed to sidestep and realising he was close to the Z-95, sprung upwards and kicked off the ship, catching the Reborn in the jaw with a steel-toed boot.

He landed, expecting the Reborn to be out for the count, but it recovered quickly and leapt at him, scything downwards. Kai rolled out of the way, but the red blade came close to slashing through his shoulder.
He was up again a second later and realising that there was no way he could subdue the Reborn, he realised he'd have to kill him.

The red blade came at him again, but Kai lowered his saber. The Reborn, seizing this opportunity, swung horizontally, but Kai sommersaulted at the same time. He landed behind the surprised Reborn and swung his lightsaber into a reverse hand grip. Facing the opposite direction he thrust backwards with both hands and felt the blade penetrate the Reborn's back and tear through flesh.

The Reborn flailed about for a second and in vain, tried to stab at Kai with his saber. Realising the wound he'd just inflicted was mortal, but a slow acting one, he withdrew his saber, hearing the Reborn gasp and growl. It was still trying to slash at him despite its death being a foregone conclusion.

Kai exhaled and attacked with a double-handed strike that severed clean through the Reborn's neck, decapitating the minion instantly. It's headless torso twitched for a moment before slumping to the floor, the lightsaber disengaging and clattering to the ground beside it's headless owner.

The Jedi shut down his weapon and sighe

Mira had wanted to run after Kai but some thing, she didn't know what kept stopped her. The group had stopped so Ilyx could answer his comlink. The entire time he was speaking, Mira had paced back and forth; she kept glancing towards the area where Kai had disappeared, Anxious to go after him.

When Ilyx was off the comm Mira asked,
?Kalai, can you tell me where Kai is?"

The young Jedi looked reflective for a moment,? He?s headed towards the meeting room in the grand temple."

"Thanks, I?m going after him." With that Mira broke into a run towards the Jedi Academy. She ran on the small path that wound through the jungle. She came to the court yard and dashed into the hanger. There she saw Kai's tall figure walking up towards the meeting hall.

"Kai!" she called and ran to him as he turned to face her, he had a distressed look in his eyes, she placed a hand on his shoulder and asked" What's wrong?"

Kai felt Mira approaching him long before she physically appeared but his mind was elsewhere. Although relatively easy to defeat, it was unlikely the Reborn was alone and that worried the Jedi Master to no extent. Still, it felt reassuring to know he wasn't alone at the moment. He tended to brood when he was.

    "Mira.... "

He checked around with the Force, sensing no other psionic signatures in the proxitmity.

"There's Reborn Dark Jedi around here. I ran into one in the hanger when I went to go and check on KnightHawk's body."

Mira gave him a 'where-is-the-Reborn-now?' look to which Kai sniffed a bit indignantly.

"Suffice to say, there is one less to worry about."

He motioned to a small blood spatter on his vest that he promptly wiped up. They continued to walk up towards the upper level, pausing to wait for an elevator. It was at that point Kai realised he'd barely spoken to her since they'd met up again.

    "I owe you an apology."

She seemed confused, but he continued.

"When I left Nar Shaddar, I had to go almost immediately. I got a lead on the Sith Lord I was tracking at the time; the one who killed my master - Quin Torrin. I had to go then or lose the trail. I'm sorry for not telling you. I regret not coming back to find you."

Thinking about it, the time lapse was almost justified. He got caught up with the Archangel Squadron, then his time spent living with the Mokari and the Dark Side which pretty much took up nearly four years.

With that, he pulled her into a hug. Perhaps it was seeing a link to the past, or KnightHawk's sudden departure, but the Jedi Master felt vulnerable and for if only for the briefest of moments he sought out comfort from another. Unused to showing emotion like this, he halted the embrace and got on board the elevator.

Mira seemed to be staring at him, but not in a way like she was angry for him not telling her the truth. More like she was glad to see him and could tell he was feeling less than fortified at the moment.

He smiled back at her as they rode the platform up the meeting room through the silent academy.

I feel like this battle is just about it begin....and I'm unsure if we can win it....

The white dagger of the Devastator tore into the system, and began spewing out Sentinel-class Landing Pods, escorted by captured TIEs and Republic X-Wings. Watching them from the ground, Ilyx ordered one ship to land away from the others, acting as a tactical command post.

    IC at Celestial Meeting Hall:

The Dark Side was ever-present in this chamber, permeating its way through everything that dared enter. A meeting had been arranged, and so was to be followed upon completely.
"What is it this time, Lance? We gave you a chance already." The Dark Side always spoke plural, possibly due to the thousands of Dark Jedi who had died over the centuries. "Do you want the possibility to help your friends save the galaxy?" This last question was a deep mockery.
"To be honest, yes. I'll strike a deal of any sort."
The Dark Side sat and listened, sickened by the pleasantness in Lance's demeanor. He had gone from vengeful Sith Lord to honorable Jedi Master in a mere hour, and had not gone back. Something in his offer sounded intriguing, though.
"Very well, Lance. We already have the terms set up. When you die at the end of the contract and return to the afterlife, you will be eternally separated from your wife. Consider it done!"

And there was a loud scream as the warrior's mace struck the dragon. It was the sound of a dragon dying. As soon as the deal was finished, the corpse at the basement of the Jedi Temple began to stir. It moved very little at first, and then threw away the cloak that covered it, releasing a horrible scream of thousands of tormented souls. Two voices in particular could be heard above all the others. The first was his own; the second was that of his wife, and was a scream that had been added, like all the others, through the Force.

And then the shield fell from the far wall, and there was a heavy metallic sound, as of much brass falling upon a floor of silver. Soon, all the rocks that barred the doorway were destroyed, each detonating somehow, leaving only dust. The explosions sounded mcuh like thunder.

A pair of Reborn were waiting one floor up, and Lance ignited his lightsabers and charged at them. They quickly brought their sabers up in defense, and Lance leapt into the air as the swords clashed, performing an aerial spin that knocked both Reborn to the floor. Before they could get up, one of them had been struck in the throat with a black blade, and died. The second one was by no means luckier. A dark lightsaber connected ferociously with his red weapon, keeping it far away while Lance buried his other weapon in the Reborn's brain. After a few seconds of numb inactivity, the Reborn fell to the floor in a lifeless heap of wasted flesh.

As they came upon the academy, Kai went off in a mad dash out of sight. As he did, Serin felt someone fall, someone familiar. She could have caught up with Kai, but decided to let him go on his own. She wasn't sure she was ready to acknowledge the fallen person as an allie yet, let alone a fallen one. She looked off in the direction Kai ran with a dark, almost bitter look, which she hoped no one else noticed.

A moment later, they all heard the signal. It's Kai. I'm up in the meeting hall on the upper level. KnightHawk is dead. I think you'd all better get up and here and we can decide on the next course of action

Mira had a worried look on her face. Looking at Kalai, she spoke. "Kalai, can you tell me where Kai is?"

The Jedi told her, and Mira was off in a flash. Turning off in her own direction, Serin heard Liana and Kalaitalking, but couldn't really make out the words. She had to explore this place. A home to so many of them that, in a manner of hours, had been tainted.

She turned down a corridor, looking at the blaster scorch marks all over the place. Her entire focus was in front of her...she wasn't even sure if any of the others had accompanied her (*). She could hear moment around her, but none of it posed an immediate threat. Turning down another hallway, she finally saw a form slumped against a nearby wall that caught her attention.

"Bal!" she cried out. Running to young form, she already had tears running down her cheeks. It was Bal Gherin, a 16 year old academy student Serin had been unofficially mentoring since before she was even knighted. A number of lightsaber burns marked his form, one or two still smoking. Bal had just recently built his lightsaber, a beautifully intricate hilt he'd spent a month on. Now it lay by the young Jedi's side.
Hugging the still warm body to her, she remembered meeting this small 11 year old boy who was small for his age, but had the brightest blue eyes and a giant permanent smile. Letting body wrenching sobs shake her, Serin soaked up her tears in his spikey blonde hair, searching for some semblance of the boy she knew.
Finally giving up to the fact that Bal had become one with the force, Serin raised her head, calmly lowering the young Jedi's body to the floor. Standing up, she picked up Bal's lightsaber and clipped it to the back of her belt, then removed her cloak to drape it over the body.

Despite her calm exterior, a white hot rage flowed through Serin like she'd never known before. Going down the hall, Serin came upon two of the Reborn they'd heard about, in black and red dress, and a black armoured figure who must have been one of the rumoured Shadowtroopers. They looked at her as she came to a halt 10 feet from them.
A look of growing, blistering anger appearing on her usually calm visage, Serin pulled two of the lightsabers from her belt. Blue and red blades flashed to life, and Serin rushed them, with the trio barely being able to get into defensive stances in time, for whatever good it did. Within a few moves, one of the Reborn had lost his weapon arm at the bicep and had a saber blade grazed across his chest....fatally, but not immediately so. Serin wanted him to feel it for a few moments.
The Jedi glaced a blow off the Shadowtrooper, but the cortosis armour held firm. Buying time to figure out how to get around that little setback, Serin changed to a more acrobatic combat technique, keeping her foes offguard. While they tried to concentrate on her, she concentrated her telekinesis on Bal's lightsaber. Using a nearby wall to kick herself into a backflip, she disconnected Bal's saber in midflip. As she dropped into a crouch, a jade green blade flared to life in the middle of the air, taking off the Reborn's head. It's job completed, the lightsaber switched off and dropped to the floor as Serin did another flip from her crouched position and gain some space between her and the Shadowtrooper.

Casually standing up, she offered the other worrior a cocky grin, all the while examining the armour for weak spots. To the Sh

OOC: I loved your last post, KnightHawk, very creative!

IC:Ilyx and Kalai trudged through the swamp of Yavin, heading towards the assembled army. However they found their path obstructed by a huge, crashed Remnant landing pod.

"Nice landing..." muttered Ilyx under his breath, inspecting the crushed remains. He could see dead stormtroopers strewn about the landscape, killed on impact. "Looks like they didn't quite complete the landing program on these things." Something inside the pod moved, however, so Ilyx drew back reflexivley, whipping out his blaster. He watched, out of the corner of his eye, Kalai put one hand on her lightsaber.

A lightsaber which was quickly ignited.

For out of the wreckage stumbled an immense AT-ST, bearing quickly down on the pair.

    "OK, we're in trouble now..."

Blinking, Kai came back to reality. Mira's hand's were warm on his own despite his gloves but he dropped them abruptly. His first instict was to contact his apprentices.

Cam, Lia! Stop what you're doing and find Ilyx and Kalai. They should be west of where you are now according to my telepathy. They could use some back up.

Though neither of his students replied, the Jedi knew for certain they would recieve his message. He looked at Mira again.

"We've got to find Serin. She's experiencing an uncharacteristic change in moods; one I've been through myself. It leads to.....danger."

With that, they made their way towards the door. Mira was about to set foot through it when Kai grabbed her arm and yanked her back hard, the shock of the action causing her to yelp quickly and her eyes widen as the red blade of a lightsaber slashed through the door without warning.

The Jedi and the smuggler backtracked quickly as the first of two ebony-armoured Shadowtroopers entered the room, light glinting off the shiny padding of it's costume. It held a blade in one hand and regarded Kai with mechanical malice. It's companion followed behind it, similarly armed.

Kai reacted instantaneously, calling to the Force. His powerful telekinesis came into play and with a simple flick of his wrist, both of the Shadowtroopers were sent reeling across the room, slamming hard into the steps that lead to the raised window platform. One rolled a few steps further and nearly fell out the glassless pane.

"Mira! Get out of here. Find Serin! She's a couple of levels below. I'll hold them off!"

She shot him a look that told him there was little chance of her leaving him right now. Her small blaster was in hand, but Kai knew it would be fairly useless against the cortosis armour.

Mira....please....go. I don't want you to get hurt. Trust me.

There was a look in her eyes that told him she was torn, but she did as he instructed and left the room. The two armoured soldiers were already recovered and on their feet, approaching Kai each armed with a red blade.

The Jedi Master called to the Force again, attempting to push them back with telepathy but this time, they old shook a bit before recovering. Kai swore mentally. Whatever powers had granted them their limited Force abilities had instilled some form of defense against even the toughest of Force-users, most likely the crystals mounted in the centre of their chests. Whilst Kai could probably tear them apart with his telekinesis, the crystals seemed to be adaptive to his attacks and after two further attempts, he realised it would be a combat defined by physical standards.

Instead of going to his lightsaber, Kai reached around for the staff on his back. Finding it, he held it before him and activated the mechanism that activated it. The two staff headpieces shot out either end, the blades still retracted. The Ta'akara was the native weapon of the Mokari and Kai had trained long and hard in the use of it. Forged from cortosis as well, it could resist all but the hardest of lightsaber attacks. It was extremely light, durable and deadly in combat.

They came at him with dual strikes and Kai raised the staff, blocking both attacks. He pushed the staff up, throwing his foes back before turning and smashing one of the Shadowtroopers in th

::Bain was in remorse. His father was dead, or, to be exact, became one with the Force. Bain had landed in the bay and stayed in his chamber while the Star Destroyer Vengeance and the rest of his fleet journeyed back to the Yavin System at his command. After gaining the information on his attacker, he decided to return and join them. They could prove a formidablr ally, even though they set upon him the largest loss he could face. As he meditated, an aide came to him.::

    Bain: Yes?

Lieutenant: Sir, we've entered the Yavin System. We are trying to make contact with the force stationed there.

Bain: Good, good. Thank you Lieutenant. Inform me when we obtain transmission.

::Another officer ran to the Lt.'s side::

Officer: Sirs, we have contact with the fleet.

    Bain: Good, thank you.

::Bain and the officers strode to the bridge::

Taryn: Ah, sir. We've made contact. They say they're Darktroopers.

Bain: As I suspected. May I?

    Taryn: Of course, sir.

Bain: This is Prince Bain Mereel Chorz, Commander of this fleet. May I please speak with your commander?

Running through the academy as fast as he could manage in his slightly disorietated state due to his previous injuries, Kai's telepathy was as active as a wildfire ravaging forrestry on a dry, windy day. As such, he did not see the Reborn that leapt from the rafters above him, but he sensed the attacker long before the Reborn made a move.

As such, the Jedi Master's guns appeared in his hands. In his right, was the sleek form of a Blastech DX-44 pistol, the officer's version of the popular DL-44. Though less powerful, it was far more accurate and of a more stylish design. In his left was the snub-nosed Ion shotgun he'd cobbled together himself from the remains of a Bryar pistol. The shotgun fired a round, a barrage of ionized air-pellets spewing forth and catching the Reborn mid-leap and hitting it with the equivalent force of being struck by speeder bike at about half of it's top crusing speed. It was not generally fatal to organic life, but caused havoc on machinery and droids. Kai had found much use for it as a stunning weapon.

The Reborn flew back wildly from the impact, it's robed form slamming into the debris-strewn ground. Raising its head, Kai aimed the DX-44 and loosed a single red bolt. The beam tagged the Reborn neatly through the center of the forehead and the Force left the Remnant's lackey with a gasp of breath and spatter of blood.

It seemed unethical for a Jedi to use guns in this day and age, but Kai had his reasons; the foremost being that he felt he should be prepared for anything and blasters could sometimes be more useful than lightsabers. He'd carried a gun since he was teen - the galaxy was a tough place and his hometown of Arus Point on Tyrol was know for it's share of denziens.

He'd switched to the guns because at this point he lacked the fortitude for physical combat - the wound in his side was still open despite the batca-treated med-tape he'd applied and although the bacta would seal the wound, it might be a while before he could use the Force to help close it fully. The guns gave him a range advantage but he knew that he'd have to get the element of surprise in order to use them properly.

As he made his way outside into a side courtyard, (not the one he'd used to enter the complex), he heard the familiar accented voice of the elder of his apprentices.

    "Halicon!"

Liana appeared ahead of him, Camden in tow. The pair looked unharmed physically and no worse for wear. He could sense their worry as soon as they saw the stained blood on his vest and trail running from his lip.

"Kai! What happened?" Camden asked as he ran to his master's side. Kai hunched over for a second, his wound giving him grief as he did.

"Reborn and Shadowtroopers. I had a couple of encounters. They came out worse, believe me."

"We were just going to find Commander Aran and Kalai when we saw you. They're just over to the side of the entrance we came in."
Liana said, examining Kai's face and wiping blood of his mouth. The Jedi almost grinned. It was rare for Liana to express concern so even little gestures like this were a large step for her.

It was unfortunate that they were interupted by the sound of heavy blaster fire in the distance.

"The AT-ST...." Kai spoke, his voice slightly vacant and eyes glazed. Both his students could tell his mind was elsewhere, pinpointing Ilyx and Kalai's location.

"Cam, Lia. Go now. Help them. I'm going to find ....."

Kai's sentence was cut in two as he sensed movement behind them. Before the black-robed Reborn could move towards the trio and even beore the two padawan uttered a word, Kai's lightsaber was off his belt and thrown from his hand like a boomerang. The green blade lit in mid-flight as as the Reborn tried to move aside, the saber changed course to hack straight through the right thigh of their enemey. It howled for a second but was silence as the blade's return trip slashed right through the Reborn at waist level. The dismembered body fell in a pile as Kai's blade returned to his hand.

    ".... Serin and Mira." H

"What I wouldn't give for a DEMP2 gun..." Ilyx muttered, as he began to weave in and out of the various trees that populated the area, trying to distract the walker's fire long enough to work out a plan. Turning to Kalai, he shouted,

"If we can, let's try and capture it intact. There may be more of these out there, and I don't want to have to do this again!"

Diving for cover as a rocket steamed towards him, Ilyx didn't hear Kalai's reply. Squeesing off a few shots at the walker, Ilyx watched as they were deflected effortlessly from the heavyly armoured body.

    "This is not good!"
