Hopefully the traitor won't be random Alliance member #34.

There is a question if there will bo only one traitor or different ones depending on our previous actions and decisions.

If there can be only one traitor and it is a named character we don't have too many characters to choose from. It can't be Vette, Torian, Kaliyo, Senya, Koth, Scorpio or Arcann since all of them can die during KotFE/KotET expansions. Companions from "alert" and "star fortress" missions are also out of question becasue we might not recruit them at all.

    Who remains from the companions?
    • Lana
    • Theron
    • Gault
    • T7
    There are also our specialists:
    • Beywan Aygo
    • Hylo Visz
    • Juvard Illip Oggurobb
    • Sana-Rae
Who else? Named members of Koth's crew:
    • Tora
    • Len
    • Ralo
There are also Scions and its newest leader - Oramis and Zakuulan rebels under Indo Zal.

Honestly I don't remember any more named members of the Alliance who will always stay alive no matter of our decisions.

Who knows, he might have been a part of the original story idea when we were supposed to play three "Knights of..." expansions.

Can't be any of the Alliance Specialists because you have to turn the Heroic crates in to them. Could be Tora, Len, or Ralo, I suppose. That would be the epitome of "who cares," in my eyes, though. I sort of like Ralo. The other two are basically there as filler faces that are somewhere between main character and background character.

They might create new NPCs to whom you will give these crates after the revelation of traitor's identity. Still, I doubt it is one of them. The same goes for Koth's crew.

True, but you'd think Revan's reappearance would have been important enough that they would have kept it when they downsized the story. Also hard to tell where he could fit in. Between the Outlander and Valkorion and his family (wife, kids, father), not much room for many other characters.

It'd be funny if Tora was the mastermind. Then we can finally kill her for trying to claim the Outlander's room so fast when they were almost dying.

Charlemagne19 I'm not good with quotes so I'll try to answer each quote with a numbered post.

    1) Back when the Jedi Knight confronted the Emperor, he talked of other galaxies, so it sounded like his ritual would let him consume all life in their galaxy then he'd move on to other galaxies. The distance and time wouldn't matter to an immortal god. Zakuul is still in the galaxy, not even the Rishi Maze or one of the other satellites.

    2) I meant that the Sith Empire wasn't really focused on the Republic when Revan stumbled on them. Like a lot of in-game Sith characters talk about getting revenge on the Republic, but for Scourge (when he was young) he barely gives a thought to the Republic or Jedi. Although I haven't read the Revan novel for a while (Karpyshyn isn't exactly the greatest novel writer), but I think that was my impression of life in the Sith Empire. Scourge isn't the most senior Sith but not like anyone else was talking about their forces being almost ready to take on the Republic (or would be in a few centuries). Although Vitiate killing off the Dark Council of that day probably shook things up a lot.

And given the sad state the Republic and Jedi Order are in after the Dark Wars, even with a disinterested Sith Emperor, the Republic would be a tempting target. I know the retcon is that Vitiate was distracted ruling Zakuul as Valkorion but then that lessens Revan's role even more.

My question is this- what's the current reason the Sith Empire didn't strike after KotOR II? KotOR II hinted Revan and the Exile did something to give the Republic time to recover, and Revan in SWTOR said he influenced the Emperor's mind. Now we find out the Emperor's mind was even more spread out than previously expected, but even if he didn't care about revenge on the Republic, you'd think some Moff or Sith Lord would want to raid a weakened Republic. Not like distance or hyperspace routes are a problem, and after a thousand years in exile the Sith Empire fleet probably would already have been enough to take on a weakened Republic. A direct order from Vitiate would have stalled any assault, but then the Dark Council was also too busy backstabbing each other to even care about the Republic much... which probably was Vitiate's intent too (Scourge couldn't find any other conspirators as they'd all die or get dragged into Dark Council politics).

    3) If "Eternal jammers" spread, I don't mind the Outlander keeping Zakuul as their power base but then having to fight personally if/when war erupts in the galaxy again, so I don't mind that idea.

    4) I thought there was a comic that indicated Vitiate had only recently figured out the Children of the Emperor idea. Blood of the Empire, I think, so sometime during or shortly before the Great Galactic War (the age of the Children was usually somewhere between 18 and 50, between Kira and Syo). The Timeline videos hinted that there might have been generations of infiltrators, but that idea fizzled out I think. That Kreesh girl had found the relevant ritual and she had been one of the first to be hollowed out, but now we know Valkorion was hollowed out centuries ago. And Valkorion wasn't just a Voice either, as trapping that Voss Voice seriously annoyed Vitiate (and allowed Baras to make his power play), enough that the Hand drafted the Sith Warrior as the new Wrath so he could free Vitiate from that Voice. And if Vitiate could already maintain multiple Voices then there's not as much need for the Emperor's Wrath or Hand.

I was thinking more of the Shimmra/Onimi thing. Zakuul's pantheon does reference multiple incarnations of one god, with probably intentional parallels to Vitiate/Valkorion, so I was just kind of hoping to see Valkorion play up the galactic omnicide thing too once or twice, even if just to mock how over the top Vitiate was. Although I still miss how... beyond mortal comprehension Vitiate seemed during Act III of the Jedi Knight Story, and on Yavin and Ziost. Valkorion just seems to run more on "it amused me" for everything he does.

EDIT: I know a lot of this is just me being nitpicky, but while the overall story kind of fits, I wish we could have seen more of something like SoR rather than have TOR veer off into KotFE. Especially since so much of KotFE is more about Valkorion and his family life more than anything else.

One thing which I think is noteworthy and throwing off players is the fact Valkorion is NOT a talking killer. There's no point where he does the Goldfinger thing of sitting down and explaining all of his plans. Also, Vitiate isn't actually someone interested in consuming the galaxies as he's only planning to destroy the Republic and Sith Empire so Zakuul can rebuild the universe as the sole remaining power in the galaxy. It's a retcon but it's one that reflects the more three-dimensional Valkorion with a personality. He's not a person interested in being a Dark Side God, he's just interested in being a god period and that requires his Chosen People (The Zakuul) to survive.

Also, is there really a difference between 75% of the galaxy and 100%?

The Sith Empire is planning on taking back the galaxy but even during the time they WERE at war with the Republic, they're more focused on each other and their own business. The Sith are building up their empire but you can't dangle a prize like the Republic in front of them without them descending like wolves.

Revan successfully saved the galaxy by defeating Malak and the Exile by defeating the Triumvirate.I think the whole "distracted him in stasis" thing was a clumsy retcon to begin with. Revan isn't the messiah by this point, he's passed that torch to the Outlander.

Well, as we know in Revan, the Sith Council was ready and prepared for war--against the Sith Emperor. The Sith Emperor didn't want to invade the galaxy until he was prepared to get what he wanted from it and become a Dark Side God. The Sith Emperor, in short, doesn't actually want the Sith Empire to WIN because then it's a threat to his new power. This may diminish Revan's role but it also increases the story of Valkorion. The Sith Council was a failed experiment by that point. If they had invaded, though, they might have won but even then the Republic was no longer a paper tiger and by the end of Revan, the Sith Council has been purged along with most of the upper ranks of the Sith so it's no longer in any shape to fight the Jedi.

Blood of the Empire had the Sith Council discover the Children of the Emperor thing. He'd been doing it for millennium by that point. There's no indication the Kressh girl was one of the first.

It seems there's only one primary Valkorion/Vitiate personality and a bunch of backup bodies prepared like Palpatine's clones. So, the Voice being trapped is Valkorion/Vitiate being trapped. When he's not inside his "main" body, he's "cold" and "soulless" as his wife talks about him.

So it's not a Hive Mind like the Killiks.

It's that when you kill Valkorion, he moves to someone else even though his Hollow shells can still act on their own.

Yes, Valkorion is a retcon but I feel it makes a much more interesting villain than just a nameless avatar of evil. There's quite a few moments talking to Valkorion as my Sith Warrior where I felt like Magneto in First Class. "I don't disagree with anything you've said but you destroyed my world so you have to die."

This would be awesome, only change I would make is Kira. I would have her willing working with Scourge, then you can turn her back (and capture Scourge and have him join you later if you want)

I liked the body we saw in Act 2 of Jedi Knight, the one with the wrapping-mask, better than the Palpatine-clone body from Act 3. At least the Act 2 body was somewhat mysterious.

Yeah, though my fav is Valkorion. I think it would have been great if this is what we saw in the Jedi knight story. Just a great left turn to see a normal looking guy in white robes.

    * Something connected to the Rakata, the Force Wars, or a pre-Adas group of Red Sith. Connect it to Vitiate's conception.

I'm not sure if you guys are good or enjoy playing Galactic Starfighter but I'm not and I have put off playing it since its' release. I've played the tutorial and four games but so far I've found it pretty difficult. I struggled with the dog fighting in BF2 as well. Can someone recommend a tutorial video that explains what to do?

"Lacking an official long-term roadmap, here's what we could find for future content:

The Crisis on Umbara flashpoint was originally planned for patch 5.3, but obviously it has now been pushed to 5.4. Still no details about the flashpoint yet; we'll have to wait for a future patch.
Work on the third operation boss, NAHUT, started on or before June 13. For comparison:
Work on AIVELA and ESNE started on March 17.
Work on TYTH started on December 19.
We still found no info on the new PvP warzone, supposed to come later this year."

I am happy that 5.3 just in time will be released tomorrow before my birthday 13th July to have time to play it before the party :)

About the operation bosses and Crisis on Umbara. I think with surprise and I hope that some returning companions will be on Umbara.

I think they are working now with Scyva and next month Izax and next month the 3rd expansion Knights of the....

Lana has been de-facto THE main narative-driving character both game-wise and story-wise for quite a few years now, so it makes sense they continue tweaking her model further.

I absolutely adore Lana, of all KOTOR / SWTOR characters she is by far my favorite.

Theron actually was updated for Ziost, where his implants were fried. Also, remember his cameo as a teenager in Satele's hologram in KOTFE Chapter 12 - he's been wearing the same clothes even back then. Dude picked his style in his youth and by god, he STICKS to it.
