    Ens-Valoe Haalo
    -Above Katarr

It surprised him. He stood still wondering how this was possible, but his eyes narrowed once his mind settled on the one person who could have done this. The fact that they were Miraluka only convinced him more. This anger increased the emptiness inside of him, making him want their lives, their energy, their everything even more. He increased the level of draining from a strong tide pulling against them to the feeling of hopelessness that accompanies a Black Hole. Yes, that what he was. A hole of eternal nothingness, overwhelming to all, and he would absorb the universe itself.

They stood no chance. Even the walls themselves appeared to have had the life pulled out of the lifeless in themselves. Ens-Valoe rebuilt his composure and posture, inhaling a deep breath and dropping his hands to his side. He felt...unsatisfied, but this was always the case. It just aggitated him more that this feeling always was the strongest after a feeding. He stalked through the ship until he reached the cockpit, setting a trajectory to the small town ruins he had just left after downloading the information of the recent planets and places visited by the ship.

    Name: Zurin Arctus
    Age: 37
    Species: Human
Planet of Birth: Fuel Depot, Outer Rim
    Gender: Male

Appearance: Zurin's jet black hair has started to go grey and his mustache has already gone completely white. He keeps himself in fighting shape, covered head to toe in wiry muscle. He is slender, but not thin, standing just north of 6 feet tall. He weighs in at 204 lbs. He usually wears his uniform, otherwise he is in black fatigues.

Rank&Affiliation: Captain in the Republic fleet under Carth Onasi, stationed on the Outer Rim. Commands the Hammerhead-class cruiser, Sancre Tor

    The Force: No
Weapons: Standard Blaster pistol sidearm, hidden hold-out blaster, has a tear-away lining on his pants which hides a collapsible vibroblade
Equipment: Usually does not need anything more than his comlink and data pad, but is cleared to use most Comm equipment, Blaster-style weapons and can do mediocre work on starship engines.

Bio: Zurin grew up in the Outer Rim on a rather large Fuel Depot. His parents, a mechanic and navigation specialist, wanted something better for their son so they spent just about all their credits to send him to the finest Military academies throughout his youth. As a result Zurin has quickly moved up the chain of command in the Republic navy, fighting in nearly every major space battle since the betrayal of Malak. Currently Captain Arctus is working under Carth Onasi in the Outer Rim.

    Name: Lazlo Lundi
    Age: 33
    Species: Human
    Planet of Birth: Dantooine
    Gender: Male
Appearance: Of average height and a slight build. Generally rather plain; his nose is narrow and his eyes wide, making him appear eerily focused. He wears a beard, kept clean and trimmed close to his cheek. His mustache is narrow and angular. His hair is dark and swept back. Lazlo dresses in a very subdued manner, but always of the highest quality of material.
Rank&Affiliation: Lazlo deals in information and making connections. He is a middleman, and quite handy at it.
    The Force: No
Weapons: Lazlo always carries a surreptitious little blaster pistol for use in dire emergencies.
Equipment: Never far from his trusty datapad and personal communications devices.
Bio: No one knows who Lazlo Lundi is, and he'd prefer to keep it that way. What is known is remarkably small: a farmboy from Dantooine made it to Coruscant with his meagre savings in pocket and forever altered the information and brokering game in the galaxy. Indeed, that is the common story when Lazlo Lundi's name is mentioned. "Have you heard of that Lundi fellow? What a success story!" "How'd he do it?" "Beats me!" The answer? Shrewd dealings and many, many sleepless nights. Lazlo has learned to be in the right place at the right time. His love of the simple stimulant, caffeine, greatly fuels his impressive speed at making things happen. Perhaps the only real block to his skills is his reluctance to work off world. He likes to set up base camp, and he likes to remain at the center of things. He knows the cities. Lazlo Lundi has seen every side imaginable: the poverty, the largesse, the middle class cynicism. He has lived it all, at one point or another, for he lost his meagre savings and worked very hard to earn them back, plus more. He was a courier at a young age, broke from bad decisions, and he learned the game from the ground up. Lazlo Lundi knows his job is the least desirable but most needed. There will always be a need for someone in between, to make connections, introductions, and explain hard truths. That's a hard truth he's particularly fond of.

"So, Bastilla knew my father as well. interesting.

Aaron looked around the room that he had been brought to.
Simple. Round. Two benches or a padded floor. That was about it, the only thing of note being a large viewport.

In the middle of looking around the room he remembered to smile, and then remembered to look at the women he had come to meet.

He even remembered to greet her. "Hello" he said still grinning.
Or was she supposed to great him first?

    Bastila Shan, Jedi Temple

Bastila looked at Aaron and his smile. She knew immediately what the Selkath meant. There was no resonance from the boy. It was usual for a Jedi to reach out to another. Automatically they tried to feel if someone was comfortable or not around them. Not read their feelings, but something. An impression, like a face or the tension of a body was always taken of the others mind. This boy radiated none of it. Or at least very little of it could be felt in him. Usually this would have been a sign of shielding ones emotions. But with this boy . . . and considering what strange und bizarre theories his father had tried to get applied in the Jedi training, she knew it was something different. Leron. She remembered him as most Jedi did who were on Dantooine when he was cast out. Not many Jedi ever were.

?I am Bastila Shan, hello Aaron.? She smiled and stepped towards the boy. ?I see you are you fathers son, after all. May I ask you, do you consider yourself a Jedi?? Could a Jedi without compassion exist? Or without love? Could a Jedi without hatred exist? Was it part of the Jedi´s existence to resist such dark urges or was it a perfect Jedi when one had no such burden? The perfect Jedi. She remembered the vision. The man with the blue blade who had come from the future to announce his coming was still fresh in her mind. The perfect Jedi.

The Prophet smiled and his spread arms slowly dropped. ?I am not here to negotiate, my friends. I am not here at all. I am only here to tell you that what the Rodian pays you will only be the smallest part of the riches you will aquire by changing the path of the galaxy. The fate of millions. Like a raindrop in a sea of water the consequences of your doings will be felt all over the galaxy. But such things do not concern you, do they?? The Prophet grinned a malicious grin as if he foresaw something he did not reveal. ?Do they?? he repeated again.

Then he stepped towards them, shutting all others on the market out, as only the other two heard what he was saying. ?Three of them will be a challenge. Three of them will die. But the forth. The forth is the catch, gentlemen. The forth you can´t take alone. For the forth you need . . . ? The Prophet smiled. ?You know what number you need to bring him down, do you? The bald headed man is the most dangerous of them all.?

Then he looked at Lyle. ?Am I a Jedi?? he asked. And his eyes looked at him with hope and anticipation.
Lyle could probably not give it all his attention, because not too far away he saw a speeder standing on the edge of town, not blocking their way, but obviously wishing them to stop. A young woman stood next to it. She waited, obviously. And lyle felt something strange about her. Not necessary hostile, but nevertheless strange.

    Zariz
The Asteroid Field in the Talusa System

Zariz saw the fighters dive into hte field and she realized that they were in deper trouble than anyobdy had thought. they probably would not shake these men. they would not defeat them, outfly them or even outsmart them. They were probably born in seats of fighters and had spend most of their lives there. They were good. Really good.

The Foray-Class gunship that came out of nowhere cemented her assumption. The Bloody Banner was taking them out of the game. Immediately she quit firing at the ifghters behind them, and turned her attention to the asteroids, shooting them to pieces. Every rock would hit the ships with high speed and probably at least one or two of the fighters did not dare to fly through such a barrier. The humming, hissing sound of blaster loads pumped into the cold of space filled the cockpit, while she saw the Foray-class to her left beginning to spit fire.

"EVASION, EVASION!" She yelled into the micro attached to her head. But to where? Outrunning the gravwell seemed impossible. Staying inside an asteroid field with a foray and four superior enemies seemed as impossible. Zariz heard the beeping sound of her gun overheating and allowed it to slip from her hands. Useless for several seconds, she knew. Closing her eyes she knew what she had to do. The only thing she could do. Listen to the force. the force was their only advantage. If it did not show her a way to survive, this trap would kill them.

    Mira
    Shadow Hunter, Spaceport, Artus Prime

A smile found its way onto Mira's face despite everything at the sight of Carth. He was a handsome man, and any woman would be lucky to have his affections on that count, but Mira knew he was also a kind man from the past couple of years they had spent working together. Shame neither of them had any time for anything extra-curricular.

As Carth relayed the news the smile quickly turned into something else, a look of bordering on despair. Everything was going wrong, and what Mira had to say wasn't going to help relieve the stress in the least. Opening her mouth, Mira paused for a second, then closed it along with her eyes and sighed. "I'm sorry Carth. It seems we have a leak, and he was killed by a sniper right after I'd captured him. I don't know who else knew about this mission, seeing as I'm on the operational side of it. I'd look into anyone else who might have found out." Sighing again, "I'm on my way back within the hour unless you have something else for me to do." In a way she hoped there was, because going back to the mess Carth had described was the last thing she wanted right then. Mira had never been the kind of person who was good in those kind of situations. She was a hunter, and that was all she was likely to ever be.

    Bao-Dur
    Leaving Jedi Temple, Coruscant

"Maybe you just didn't get the memo," says Bao-Dur impassively. He feels as if every word he says is being assessed and analysed by the HK- probably in several hundred different languages. He doesn't like to muse on it aloud in case Remote gets jealous, but he can't help but be impressed by the assassin droid.

Even if it is a butcherer.

    So is he, after all.

"I'm sure you'll pick things up once we get there," he says to his new companion. They enter the hangar, where their respective vessels await.

"I have some errands to run for the Order beforehand," he explains. "You start the ball rolling on Caridan. I'll meet you there."

Staring silently at Bao-dur was all HK did concerning the memo. Of course he hadn't received the memo, he was but a lowly droid superior to all meatbags except in their own minds. Why would he, specifically asked for this mission, be given any information?

Bao-dur continued, saying something about how he was sure HK would pick everything up. "Assured Statement: Undoubtedly." It was briefer than normal, but what else was there to say. And then came the news that HK was going to be on his own for the time being. Mocking Thought: Oh whatever will I do without a meatbag to hold my metallic hand. Instead of actually saying anything, HK looked around and was motioned towards a ship.

Turning back to Bao-dur, "Resigned Comment: Of course. Maybe I can even have the whole thing sorted before meatbag interference confuses the matter. Subdued Farewell: I will see you there meatbag." With that HK turned and went up the ship, he had a memo to find and the meatbag who had forgotten to send it to him to kill.

The Ereesi Ship, corridors, Near Corvis Minor

The squad had managed to fend off a number of the Argazdan troops, but they were anything if not persistent as they continued their onslaught. Another one of the blue robed murderers came charging from the group and Zazza fired upon him, but the shot went wide and the Togorian hissed in frustration before letting her rifle drop and unsheathing her blade. She leapt at the attacker, her blade singing as she unloaded strike after strike.

    ?No!?

Craven yelled at his impulsive team mate, her close quarters sparring meaning that none of the squad could get an aim on the Argazdan without risking hitting Zazza. Shirzan swore loudly, a long forgotten Iridonian profanity. What was she thinking! Two more enemy soldiers appeared and the squad had to return fire to help protect their comrades in cover. An explosion rocked the corridor as Test blew a relay and another Argazdan scumbag into next week. The platoon started to retreat backwards into the now cleared corridor but Zazza did not.

    ?Zazza, FALL BACK!?

She screamed over the sounds of battle, but the shouts were in vain as they were pinned down by enemies. Zazza kept at him, striking relentlessly but the Argazdan managed to block every hit with scary accuracy. An Argazdan soldier charged for the squad with a sword but Shirzan quickly took him down, striking him with the butt of her rifle as he stumbled forward and hit the floor. She quickly brought her gun up and aimed it at the Argazdan attacking Zazza, but before anyone could get an accurate shot the Argazdan saw his moment to strike. In a single horrific second, Zazza was killed instantly, the blade of the lance snapped down on the Togorian. Shock ripped though Shirzan as she saw her body fall to the floor. The Argazdan didn?t stop to celebrate his sickening triumph for a second, raising his blood stained weapon and pointing it straight at the Zabrak Lieutenant. Her adrenaline went into overdrive, her heartbeat increased, her focus sharpened as she snarled at Zazza?s killer. She had to take him down. There was no time to think, a split second between life or death. She pressed the trigger, just as her pressed his.

The energy from her rifle scorched through the air and hit the Argazdan high in the chest, pitching him to the floor screaming. The bolt from his lance did not hit Shirzan full on, but glanced her upper left arm as it passed, impacting with her shields and knocking her off balance, The shield had managed to halt the worst of the energy but she grimaced as some of the excess burned through and took a chunk out of her armor, hissing out in pain as the energy burnt the skin beneath. Her shields spluttered in and out of life for a few seconds as the absorption of the lances fire overloaded it. It would take a few moments to boot back up again. Breathing heavily she pushed herself back up to her feet she stumbled a little before taking cover behind a metal crate. Pulling a kolto patch out of an emergency first aid kit she pressed in firmly onto the wound. It hurt, but she couldn?t let it hinder the mission

Trevi IV, Chambers of Commerce, Market

Now this was an interesting variation on the usual course of events, least insofar as Donvan Vliet could tell. This guy was offering... well, he wasn't really offering anything, but there was hypothetical additional wealth to be gained on top of the current job, and the only requirement was hiring two more people. Well, shoot, he'd been planning on that anyway, ain't no safety in running around with only two people. Asking for trouble, that was.

"Well Mr. The Prophet, that is a tantalizin' bit of info. Right nice of you to let me know I should get on that whole recruitin' business sooner rather than later, right nice of you. Mind you, readin' the dossier alone I ain't gittin' much of a super dangerous like vibe from baldie, dig? But then again yer The Prophet an' I'm just ol' Captain Vliet, so, I reckon you done know more 'bout this than I can hope to. The pattern o' fours weaves strange webs an' all that."

He took a puff on his tabacc.

"You uh, wouldn't be adverse to sayin' what types I should be lookin' for, would ya? If'n we're a gonna be... hozzit? 'Changing the path o' the galaxy,' I'd be right 'ppreciative of you pointin' us square way in the right direction. Way I sees it, you're a knock better at makin' with the predicating than me. Approaching the Talusa-System; Asteroid Belt in Sector 9; Hammerhead-Class Sancre Tor

The Telos-System had been practical under siege when they had left. Ereesi ships had been found with everybody on booard dead. The Bloody Banner pirates had destroyed three of their ships in short succession and through that gained the upper hand in the Outer Rims over Onasi´s fleet. Or in other words it had been the worstr, the most unfitting time to send Cpt. Arctus away that anybody could think of. Yet, Carth Onasi did exactly that. He ordered Arctus to ?pick someone up? on Coruscant. Someone important.

Captain Zurin Arctus had been assigned to a ?VIP escort duty?. It was usual in the Republic that very important visitors were brought to certain sectors by military vessels to provide security, even if it went against protocol. It was less common since the Republic fleet had been cut down to it´s rescent size. But that Carth Onasi organised such an escort service was completely unheard of. Therefore nobody had been surprised at all when it was no less than a Jedi who entered the ship on Coruscant.

And with a Jedi on board people had not been to surprised about anything. Like him requesting of them to change their route and make a detour into the mostly unknown Talusa-System.

What had surprised them was finding the Bloody Banner there. After having hunted the Bloody Banner pirates for over a year without ever nailing one of them, suddenly the encountered them by chance, when a Jedi followed a hunch. Now their alarmss screamed, as sensors indicated the had found the ?Black Death?, a Foray-class blockade runner in the Bloody Banner´s service, as well as four accompanying heavy fighter. All of which were actually busy hunting what looked like a very modern and very fast ship that was fleeing from them. The transponder signal revealed that to be the Lightbringer, a Jedi transport.

Lt. Cava stepped to his Captain. ?Sir, confirmed. Bloody Banner ships hunting a Jedi transport. Orders? Shall we get the Jedi up here??

Approaching the Talusa-System; Asteroid Belt in Sector 9; Hammerhead-Class Sancre Tor

Zurin Arctus sat in his private quarters aboard the Sancre Tor. The floor was polished wroshyr tree, straight from Kashyyk and various ship designs, practical and conceptual lined his walls. He had very little need for luxury on a warship so aside from his desk, a holo projector and a few chairs his office was nearly barren. The floor panels were his only weakness, growing up in the outer rim on a refueling station, natural flooring was something that always alluded him.

A chime from his comlink interrupted his reading, he set down his data pad and keyed the desk unit.

    "Yes?" Zurin asked.
"Captain, reversion in fifteen minutes." Ensign Reelok reported.
    "Thank you, Enisgn." Zurin replied.

Zurin picked up the data pad again and tucked it into its holster opposite his sidearm as he rose from his desk. He took his time making his way to the bridge, Lieutenant Cava ran a tight ship and was every bit the reliable officer.
"Captain on deck!" Lt. Cava announced as Captain Zurin arrived via turbolift. "Captain, we are a few minutes from the new coordinates."
Zurin nodded in approval. This was the easiest assignment he had been on in just over a year. He knew Lieutenant Cava was a little ruffled at having to 'play babysitter' but a VIP escort was every bit as important as a hit and run or front line combat. His crew needed the down time.
"Reversion in 3...2...1." the Twi'lek Ensign Reelok announced.

Immediately as the ships light tunnel dissipated Zurin was moving for the red alert controls on his command chair. He wasn't sure what was out there but a fight was going on.

Lt. Cava stepped to his Captain. ?Sir, confirmed. Bloody Banner ships hunting a Jedi transport. Orders? Shall we get the Jedi up here??

"Immediately. Launch Gold Squadron. Give me a fire solution on that gunship and open a comm channel." Zurin barked orders quickly and his command staff complied in kind.

Lt. Cava nodded to him to indicate he was broadcasting across a wipe range of comm frequencies.
"This is Captain Zurin Arctus of the Sancre Tor. By authority of the Republic Navy you are ordered to power down your weapons, shields and engines immediately and recall your fighters. If you do not cease and desist, lethal force will be used." Zurin closed the comm channel.

"Give me a line to the Lightbringer." Zurin asked while he called up a tactical display on his chair.
"This is the Captain of the Sancre Tor to the Jedi Transport. Break hard to port, we have reinforcements headed your way and our port docking bay is ready to receive you."

A squadron of A-Wings (Aurek-class fighters) burned towards the asteroid field, coming up on the port side of the Lightbringer.

"Captain, targeting solutions are hot with the gunnery crews and Gold Squadron." Lt. Cava reported.

    Chadrinal Institute of Antiquities, Hanna

He sat on top of the highest if it´s three towers and watched the institute. Like ants waiting to be crushed the humans and alines ran around down there. He felt angry, almost ibtter to their normal lives. They had all he would never have. Yet their lives lay in his hand. The Mule shook his head. Every child could throw a stone from above and kill a man by that. The power of killing, despite all the sith´s teachings . . , meant nothing. It was easy. It was irrelevant.

Ubese. The Mule tried to wash these thoughts out of his minds by touching the mindso f the Ubese. How many were they? Hundreds? And their ship above? This would be more than a few security guards on the galaxies capital of peace would be able to handle. The target was a dead man. Only that The Mule had to get there first, right?

    Right.

    The plan.
It was all part of the plan.

The Mule reminded himself of it, as he felt his frustration and anger once more rise. All he had been denied. Yes, all he had been denied by these . . . people.

Under his helmet he smiled and his camourflage technique deepened the illusion of his absence, as he allowed his feet to slip and his body to begin it´s journey to the ceiling of the Institute beneath. He had his force-pike in his hand, ready to allow both blade to slide out of the grip holding them. This was a job for the force pike. This was a butchers job.

Iliac turned around and smiled to Ashlae. ?And I am certain you two have a lot to talk about.? Iliac smiled. ?Rest now, Jedi Ashlae Starchaser. When the sun goes down we shall travel.? He left the tent with a deep bow. Outside he gave orders to his masked guards. ?Arrange our transport to the Temple. The Jedi wishes to see my mother and the prophetess will wish to see her. The Goddess clearly showed me.? The other man did not reply, but somehow one could hear in iliac´s voice that his obedience was an appreciated, yet assumed fact.

So she was about to meet his mother soon. She had no idea what she was going to say or do. But Ashlae felt that something was amiss here. Something that had to do with Iliac's mother. The force led her here for some odd reason. She needed to be patient if she was going to find out.

She rested as Iliac left the room. She could hear him as he ordered the masked guards to arrange a transport She heard him say something that kept popping up and was quite peculiar to Ashlae. Iliac mentioned to the guards that the Goddess showed him the way.

Surely the force and the Goddess was all in the same, but Ashlae was never around people who were so devoted to a deity before. It was strange, yet almost scary. The devotion seemed to be quite intense. Even the Jedi were not so elaborate in their following of the force. It seemed to Ashlae that such people who follow in such a way could be deemed dangerous.

Well Ashlae was determined to find her strength. Even if a devil had to hold her hand she would find it. Just like her hero Revan. She closed her eyes and dreamed of her hero.

    Lyle Sevik
    Trevi IV, Desert, Speeder

Fifth of seven? One they choose? For what? Fifth of seven kids that was chosen as a favorite? Fifth of seven students that was chosen as the best? To be trained? Sacrificed? Whatever speculation that could be considered came to Lyle's mind but, in the end, there was the simple fact that he had no idea what Ono was talking about. He voiced as much too.

"I don't understand," Lyle replied. "What are you talking about? Fifth of seven what?"

    ?Am I a Jedi??

Seeming to ignore his questions, Ono instead just asked an even odder one. Lyle was trying to keep up with all this but was quickly finding this difficult as he had no idea what Ono was talking about and, even more, had no idea who he was.

"Look, slow down," Lyle tried again. "I don't have any idea what you're talking about. So why don't we start from the beginning. Where are you from? How did you get here?"

Why was he shot down? Why was he with a Sith that wanted to kill him? What was this fifth of seven nonsense? And this apparent fixation on the Jedi that Lyle was starting to notice?

Again any answers he was hoping to get that may allow him to make sense of all this were put on hold as Lyle felt his senses suddenly tingle, demanding his attention. Facing forward, the young man found a speeder similar to his resting at the edge of town. A woman was standing nearby...waiting. With the strange feelings that he was getting through the Force, Lyle had a feeling that she was waiting for him. His first thought was to just keep going, to go around the woman and continue on to the city. Yet despite how he believed that to be the proper course to take, he found himself slowing down the speeder.

Ono did not seem to detect any hostility but how he curled up in the seat next to him caused Lyle to think about going on the cautionary side in case the woman was not friendly. Unholstering one of his blaster pistols, Lyle set it on his lap. His hand still curled around it but, otherwise, keeping it out of the woman's sight, Lyle came to a stop in front of the woman and stared at her with a more neutral expression. With one hand on his blaster, the other on the throttle of his speeder, he was ready to either shoot or accelerate full speed in case he felt something wrong. Or both.

"You're waiting for us." It wasn't a question.

    Yuthura Ban
Korriban, Valley of the Dark Lords

"Sith artifacts have been declared illegal by both the Republic and the Jedi Order," Yuthura had quickly objected to Kinry's not-so-subtle thoughts about obtaining them. "Any that are found are too be disposed of immediately. Any who are in possession of such artifacts face imprisonment." Her eyes narrowed, the red blade of her lightsaber reflecting off those orbs. "This includes you."

How she wish a better security force or, at the very least, more proper resources had been devoted to Korriban. She knew very well the importance that Korriban was held to the Sith; not just as a homeworld, but a treasure trove of lost teachings and knowledge that was waiting to be recovered and exploited. She had overseen some of the excavations concerning some of these tombs and knew for a fact that there was still plenty leftover knowledge to be found. The still-active traps that had claimed several inexperienced students certainly hinted to depths that had yet to be explored in the tombs.

She had assisted in writing up the plan herself. A space station to hover over the planet to act as a main base for the security force which should include supporting frigates and squadrons of fighters. But even those resources were currently unobtainable what with the issues that the Republic had to deal with. Pirates, political dealings. Sometimes Yuthura wondered if this switch from Sith to Jedi was a good idea. As brutal and treacherous as the path of the dark side was, it was also very simple. If you had strength, you were able to rise through the ranks and set your own place in the Empire where those weaker then you wer

Argazdan; The Temple of Via; deepest desert

    (Mok approved use of Iliac)

    Soundtrack - Via´s realm

They travelled for almost a day on their strange reptilian beasts the Argazdan´s controlled with such great skill. The desert seemed to get hotter every hour they ventured deeper into it´s vast fields. Iliac seemed especially attuned to his mount, as he lead their little caravan through the desert with the certainty of a man who had spend most of his life in this environment. Achlae was on the tallest of these animals, guarded by two of the golden masked men and followed Iliac. her animal did so without guidance by any rider.

    [image=http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs42/f/2009/074/1/1/11eb93b0b4e3e14c79c936b0f0decf9b.jpg]

It was the first days afternoon they passed the first of many ruins. Remains of massive statues and ancient temples suddenly raised from the sands.

    [image=http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2011/110/c/d/the_desert_by_atomhawk-d3eflww.jpg]

Whole cities soon followed, once carved into stone. Now they were lost in time and memory of the people. Ashlae could see some of the guards of Iliac pray, as she passed them. She even saw Iliac himself pray once. But no matter how many remains they saw, nobody made the effort to tell her of Argazdan´s history. When they passed the ancient remains of technology it became apparent, that someoneh ad lived here once in the desert and that he had vanished. something, probably the force . . . told Ashlae it could not have been a natural vanishing.

    [image=http://www.robotarm.se/images/desrt11.jpg]

When the day came to it´s close they approached the Goddess temple, finally. Iliac climbed of his beast when they were still a mile away and helped Ahlae down from hers. "We must walk the last few steps. The beasts are considered impure." He explained and slowly began to walk towards the Temple. Suddenly the giant building in the desert seemed to consume all his attention.

    [image=http://feyd.rautha.free.fr/Dune/dune%20Palace.jpg]

But onl a look at it and Ashlae felt it, too. A jedi felt many things in his life and travellings. But the feeling of one single presence was overwhelming here. One presence, one mind, one conscience that seemed to be housed in the very stones of the Temple.

    "Welcome."

A woman´s voice seemed to whisper, as Ashlae approached the Temple of Via.

Iliac seemed to hear it, too. As he looked at her and smiled.

At thee feet of the Temple a woman awaited them, far away she was visible only as a tiny figure before the giant that was her Temple. Yet, even in this distance her power seemed great and her son felt her eyes on him. As always.

    "Come. Mother awaits us."

"What do you say?" The Prince of tion asked, smiling at Alema like a hungry predator. But his eyes looked past her. It was only a polite cough followed by a cold voice that revealed the presnece of a third person inside the room.

"I think it would not be very . . . useful, my Prince." The woman sitting in the enormous couch in the center of the lounge was an alien. that much was clear. but she was one unlike any Alema had seen. Human looking, but with blue skin and what seemed to be red glowing eyes.

    [image=http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs31/f/2008/201/a/f/afd0dd6ba9002d14aa43da63719d62bc.jpg]

"Tell me, did you play the wild Prince for her again?" The woman gave them a smile so very much without any humor, it was frightening. "If you ask me he enjoys this part too much, you know?" She told Alema. The exits locked down with a cracking sound.

ooc: Trimaj, Winged, as Winged will be on a trip soon, I will let your storyline rest and "zoom" to the crime scene when he returns. Don´t worry Trim, you missed nothing yet and everything there was will be summarized in that first post then. Until then you still got Mira, right [face_wink?

    [color=green][b]Shadow Hunter, Spaceport, Artus Prime[/b][/color]

Carth nodded as Mira told him about the leak. ?I know.? He sighed. Having no idea who it might be, he realized it month ago as the ost likely alternatiive why the bloody Banner seemed to escape them, always. They knew when Carth came and when they had to leave. The betrayed secret fleet and Mira´s report made it the only logical solution. And considering how few people he trusted, that made him a very limited Admiral right now. At least the Jedi came. ?No, no. Come back immediately. We might have some trustworthy agents on their way here. I need you to meet them and together we have a lot to discuss.? He smiled. He did not even dare to speak of the Jedi or discuss them over this secured channel. If anybody was to be suspected, so was all their hardware.

?I think it is time we end this hunt once and for all.? Carth sighed and with a smile he cut the signal. Mira probably knew what he meant. Loosing ships one-by-one to battles and other missions over the years nobody knew who had more ships these days. Carth Onasi or Ion Tarsis.

Mira was left alone in the ship. She would probably have made her way into the cockpit and back to the fleet, if there had not been a presence. A feeling. That someone awaited her outside and she would need to talk to that person, before she left. The will of the force, the Exile had often called it that.

When Mira checked the outside of her ship, she indeed found a young woman standing outside she had not seen in three years. She had lost nothing of her brooding aura or her cold, mysterious charme though. Visas Marr raised her head and Mira knew enough about her, to know she looked through the hull of the ship and saw her.

As she pressed the kolto aganst her wound, she heard how her men charged to the next point they could fortify. Craven knelt next to her. ?Are you okay?? He asked. One of his horns was badly burned by a blaster shot that had missed his head be a an inch, as it looked. Before she could answer Velix clacked something next to her. ?Do you feel this?? He asked through his translator. Trembles. They were hit by someone firing on the ship. Craven cursed in the language of his own people. It sounded pretty impressive. ?They are firing on a ship full of their own men?? He asked unbelieving.

Test came back and as he saw behind the cover of Shirzan was no more room he pushed himself to the other direction. ?Got someone to talk for you.? He yelled and send another savlo at where the argazdan´s seemed to have made a stand at the end of the corridor. Suddenly a man was next to Shirzan. A tall reptilian man who moved with the speed of a lizard. ?Narr? I am Orz. I am a guard on the ship.? He obviously had no official military rank or knrew where his place in the chain of ocmmand was. But he looked like he had been under fire again. His eyes were cold and calculating, while his body oozed energy. ?The Argazdan´s have control over the level sub-two. It is where our children are kept. Your people say you are here to help? Help us then. We need someone to enter through the maintaince shafts.? He pointed to the side where they were coming from. Obviously they had overlooked them in the unfamiliar ship. ?I was meant to go down there with my team. But I am the only survivor. I need some men to fall into these bastards back!? He yelled and as a blaster shot hit next to him he answered it with a burst. ?Can you help us, Republic??

The huge Ithorian seemed to wonder about the request for a moment, then he politely nodded. ?Certainly one of our guard will be able to provide a blade.? He then concluded and nodded with his huge head. ?Concerning the name, it was only Criton. I assumed you did not wished to be known by your full name and therefore I preferred not to ask.? The Ithorian nodded to a nearby droid and signed an order an the droid was on it´s way.

Cale looked to the enrrance. ?Okay, Poul Criton, hurry up. I think something is going to happen.? He pressed through his teeth. The droid returned, handed the starmap to the Ithorian, then looked at Poul.

?Honest happiness: We are all very pleased you have returned here, Master Criton.? The Ithorian looked at his droid and seemed surpised. ?HK-55, I am rather certain I did not allow you to speak . . .? The Ithorian had extended his empty hand demanding the Blaster while he had offered the datadisk with his other. Both hands trembled, as he was hit by a shot. The droid suddenly had a pistol in hi hand and quickly turned it towards Poul. ?Son of a . . .? Was all Cale could hiss and then all hell broke loose . . .

As the Ubese received the signal to attack from Jerec Egola, high above the planet their two huge transportships spit out two smaller crafts from their cargo compartments. The two aged Sith fighter had been easy to buy, but would pay out now. They dived towards the atmosphere as the shooting began below on the planet.

"Look, slow down," Lyle tried again. "I don't have any idea what you're talking about. So why don't we start from the beginning. Where are you from? How did you get here?"

Ono looked at Lyle as he asked his many questions and shrugged. "I do not know. They called me the fifth of seven. And they said I am chosen!" He said angry, as if he insisted this was an obvious and clear to understand message he was sending there. Then he sighed. He appeared to be frightening adult when he did that. Probably he was immitating someone.

"I . . . I come from the dark and I was brought here with a ship. A starship. I think he did not wanted me to get here. He wanted me to go somewhere else and then the men in masks shot him down. And everything burned and was loud and . . ." He shut up immediately. His eyes turned to the woman, as Lyle approached her.

Lyle stopped next to her. "You´re waiting for us." He said. The woman looked at Ono then cursed. "Damned, he was right." she looked at Lyle and laughed out. It was a bitter alughter, if anybody ever heard one. "Yeah, you´re trying to be the next Prophet or what? But that is nice, because he wants to see you. You and the boy."

Without a further word she moved to her speeder and entered it. "She comes from far, far away." Ono said and looked at Lyle. Dragging hhis legs back so he could embrace them, he repeated what he said. "I come from the dark. They brought me here by ship."

    Teuka; Somewhere; A Dark Room

Teuka leaned forward, as he studied the hologram of the two people exchanging words. Rahl, the old fool. Even now with his prince dead, he followed up the leads. Always too curious. This Rakatan had always been too curious. Teuka wondered what secrets he would unveil. What secrets he still held. But it was not Rahl who he followed with interest. It was the white haired woman.

    Atris!

She was on Tion looking for Sith. For Sith! She had come too close. Far too close. And concerning Xerbel and all his secrets she was probably even one step ahead of him. With a hiss he turned and stepped towards the console on the other end of the dark hall. Something had to be done. Something always had to be done. The Mule. Lazaria. They were all in place for his game of Dejaarik. he had served his Master well. etter than he had ever served Sion and his grande sheme that had always been meant to lead to a great failure.

Sith were not about power. He understood this now. His new Master had shown him that truth. A Sith was about control. And he was in control. Felt in control.

    Although control is an illusion?

"Everything is an illusion for those who know. For those who know the truth." He whispered and gave orders. Always orders. The Genohardan would follow. They did not know. Not yet.

Chaos. The only control was the control of chaos. And as entropy spread, he directed it into the right channels. A dead Chancellor. A dead Prince. Death. Always one more death. one death at a time. Atris death?

    Not yet. Not yet.

    She was too . . .

Teuka smiled. he rarely smiled and it almost hurt to use this muscles of his face.

"You are too much like me. Are you Atris? Look. Stare. Stare into the dark. You will soon enough find out it is staring back. Staring back."

    J. Kinry Tallaroba
    Korriban

Still smirking as the woman turned around, Kinry received his brother?s presence coming quickly. Apparently, he had realized there had been trouble and had sped up. As he turned the corner and appeared, Kinry walked over to the speeder and sat into the speeder. Hinry eyed him through the clear lenses of his glasses.

?You want to tell me what the kriff just happened?? His brother said, the seriousness in his tone rearing its ugly head.

Kinry turned to his brother, surprised by the coldness in his tone before folding his arms and settling deeper in his seat. His brother, being the older one by two minutes, always had a way of making Kinry feel submissive and childish. ?There was this woman, apparently guarding or patrolling this place for the Jedi Temple. She tried to attack me and mentioned some artifacts and started spouting warnings about avoiding the tomb. Then she up and turned done left.?

Hinry adjusted his glasses on his nose. The intent in his eye was clear. ?Obviously, artifacts that are being watched over by the Jedi have invaluable worth to them.?

?Exactly, but she said something along the lines of being arrested should we be caught with the artifacts.? Kinry knew his brother was going to be thinking along the same lines he was when he first heard of the artifacts. Now, however, they would have to decide if the juice was worth the squeeze. ?So? Risk imprisonment or get the hell off of this forsaken planet??

His brother sat in silence for a long moment. He would do this when he would weigh the options of going treasure hunting, as there was always danger involved. His answer was a quick turn of the vehicle as they headed back towards their ship. ?We have other obligations to meet and jobs to complete. We do not have time right now to indulge ourselves into this mystery. However, we will be coming back for these artifacts, but we?ll need more people when we do. Agreed??

?I reckon you right brother.? Kinry settled back into his seat. They did have jobs and clients to attend to. But, as his brother had pointed out, they would be back.

    -Above Katarr

Ens-Valoe sat his datapad down, allowing it to continue completing its task while he would handle the situation at hand. He turned around, facing all of them from his vantage point in front of the navigation console. His eyes rolled over all of them, slowly and analytically. They were not very powerful, nor very skilled; therefore their handling of double bladed sabers would be mediocre at best. He spotted the eldest as the one who had spoken. He had no doubt in his mind that the Miraluka was talking about Visas Marr, but he cared little about that. He would deal with her in due time. There was no rush.

?Alive? No. I only exist.? He ignited only one blade of his lightsaber and performed a sweeping motion in front of him. He was physically larger, by quite a margin, than all of them and his strength would make this encounter a quick one. ?Raise your heads and prepare to die. Come at me.?
