Very exciting news indeed. Now if only they gave you the option to buy it girl Revan or boy Revan for your book. LOL

Not going to lie but I would buy the girl Revan book. Every play through of that game I have done has been as a girl. :p

I've played as a girl two or three times. I think the guys are actually kinda attractive, so, yeah. :p

His voice, especially. And Atton Rand from KotOR II.

Now that we've totally derailed the thread... :p

Definitely, and it's always cool to see new material from Drew Karpyshyn. His Bane books have always been my favorite.

I played as a female Revan, but that was mainly because I liked to think that part of the reason Malak followed Revan to war was because he was quite literally in love with her. And that part of the reason he fell was because she rejected him. Adds a bit more tragedy to his character. And also because I like the idea of military lady geniuses. There've been plenty of Sith girls, but there was never enough (IE, I never read enough) lore to make me consider Lumiya or Zannah as being on par with Palpatine, Vader, or Revan.

As for the novel itself, I wonder if they'll stick closer to KOTOR1's semi-nondescript Dark Lord ideal of Revan, or KOTOR2's Sun-Tzu-ripple-effect-Revan. BioWare seems keen to ignore KOTOR2, even though it's story and themes were it's strongest element. Probably stronger than they were in KOTOR1. I also wonder if they'll delve into the Kreia=Arren Kae-and-therefore-Handmaiden's-mother theory.
