ever wonder how Qui-gon was sure that Anakin was the one? sure there's the arguement that he sensed it, but that could have been a mistake,

Shmie could have meant something else when she said "there was no father"

and no one ever said that The One had to be human, so the prophesy could easily have meant the hutt in planet of twilight or somethng like that.....

 

Qui GOn did not KNOW he was the one, but with his Mediphlorians off the charts, he figuered Ankin was the one. Boy did he prove that wrong Eh?

No, that's ignorant. The Phantom Menace was released in 1999. The First LOTR movie didn't come out until 2001. Sure, the the LOTR novelization may have come out a few months before, but George has still got it beat by a good two years.

 

Ummm...the LotR books were written a WAY long time ago, way before Star Wars came out. You do read right?
