I doubt the republic had capital punishment given what we know certain criminals did that had them rotting in prison in a couple of different incidents. I don't support capital punishment but if it existed there, there were folks who probably should have gone to the chair.
Maybe the Republic does not have capital punishment, but that does not stop Anakin from being to do some capital punishing.
No, but I think the reference was to why Clovis hadn't been executed yet for either betraying the Neimoidians or using Republic intel to benefit the Separatists. Anakin let Clovis live. For now. This should be interesting. I'm waiting to see how Padme reacts to seeing her husband go ape**** .
Oh yes, yes. I think the thing with Clovis is that in the end he knew too much, but because he betrayed the Republic, they did not want him back. And he was under house arrest cause he screwed with the wrong Separatists and basically with his going to Cato Neimoidia in S2 Clovis made himself unwanted by anybody. Poor guy... The thing in the trailer where Padme screams at Anakin is interesting a lot cause I am curious how would this affect the "You are going down a path I can't follow" scene from ROTS...
You know, if I were a writer working at LucasFilm, I would probably have Anakin Force-kick Clovis in the balls. But I suppose just punching him across the room will have to satisfy my sadism.
I like where this is going. I'll be satisfied it I get to hear the sound of Clovis's jaw crunching and him choking on his own broken teeth when Anakin breaks it over his knees. I swear I am not a sadist.
