Welcome to the minor characters Index and Discussion!

First up-

Who is your favorite minor character and why?

 

Oooo Ooo Ooo! This is an awesome idea, kateydidnt!

My favourite minor character is, quite seriously, Guri. A perfect human replica who's a droid assassin... so many plot bunnies, so little time to write them.

In truth, I don't know much about Guri except what I read in Shadows of the Empire, and I haven't read that book in a long time. But I still love the idea of her character.

 

Guri...never actually heard of her--I haven't read Shadows of the Empire, but now I want to read a story with her in it.


Piett is my favorite minor character-most of what I like has been fanon interpretation-but still, he is always such a cool guy!

 

Piett's my fave minor character, too. I just think he's classy -- somehow he never loses his cool or looks like an idiot. I still cherish the small, secret hope that maybe he got away from the Executor before it crashed into the second Death Star....

 

Ah, but have you written that story yet?

Be nice to me...I'm writing three stories at once (only posting one, but still!).

I promise I'll write it someday as long as no one steals my plot bunny from me.

Seriously, I have two favorite minor characters, Pooja and Piett. Like some of you, what I like about the latter is mostly fanon interpretation, but he's wormed his way into my heart and has yet to leave.

Pooja I like because of the circumstances she found herself in. She was a contemporary of her own cousin (though she didn't know it), she followed in her aunt's footsteps, and she was a great supporter of her ruler. Excellent basics of her character, and I have so much fun adding more to them. Hence, Rebel Choice.

So, does Bail Organa count as a minor character even though he plays an integral part of the saga in raising Leia and all? He doesn't have much screen time. I love his presence. I used him in my last fan fic and people seemed pleasantly surprised by that. Also I would have to say Commander Cody. I like the easy banter between he and Obi in Rots, up until the Jedi Purge, of course.

 

I'd say Bail counts as minor. Yes, he plays an integral role, but he does not provide any major thrust to the tale.

Somehow I find I've grown really attached to Asajj Ventress. I was challenged to write her for the Dare challenge and knew practically nothing about her. She's become quite a trip to write.

 

Asajj is most definitely quite an interesting minor character! Loved how Obsession ends!
