I'm not sure about anyone else, but it's been a while since I've anticipated a movie this much...probably not since ROTS. As of this post, we are about 2.5 hours out from the Pacific Rim trailer. http://www.panpacificdefense.com/
So when Cthulhu-Godzilla's invade earth from another dimension through our oceans humanity's solution is to build giant mechas and have Glados serve as our head computer. This plan certainly cannot possibly backfire.
ugh charlie hunnam sounds like he's got the flu whenever he tries to do an american accent idris elba, charlie day, and clifton collins jr's presences should more than make up for having to put up with him tho, and the film looks solid and lets be honest, ill watch anything you slap guillermo del toro's name on at this point
Looks great and is near the top of my 2013 must see movie list. I hated some of the lines though: "Let's go fishing." "Today we are cancelling the apocalypse!" And why was that little girl all by herself at the start of the trailer?
Holy wowzers, that made my jaw drop. "Today we are cancelling the apocalypse!" Del Toro giving us rocket-punching Gundams versus Cthulu monsters by way of a dash of Evangelion? Yes please. Just plain excited to see giant robots that don't look like spiky Bayformer junkheaps.
A film born out of frustration at not being able to get a Lovecraft film on the go and what must be a deep-seated love of The Power Rangers? Yeah, I'll watch that.
