The Padme's Ship "do everything" button.

George Lucas, do us all a favour and get "Button-pushin'-momma" Natalie Portman back on the set pushing DIFFERENT buttons. Do something INTERESTING for the DVD release, let's see them digits do their thang... Unleash upon us the mystery of Padme´s buttons, never mind that nonsense about lava pits, twins or people who die and go shiny blue!

 

Sorry to say this, but why is everyone making a big fuss out of this scene? You're supposed to be more interested in the next thing that shows up....The starmap to Geonesis (I think). Man, you people must be influenced by that entry in IMDB!!!

Anyway, does it occur to anyone that the button might be a refresh button or next button? Like some of the buttons on your handphone or that jog-dial on the Sony VAIO laptop/handphone. You know, press lightly do something, hold down the button it does something else? Maybe Padmé pre-programmed the button to many, many things? A senator doesn't waste precious time.

Then again, a press-down button? Maybe they should've made the button a touch-sensitive one like in Star Trek, where you just touch the button and the whole display panel changes.
