The Plo Koon Discussion Thread

I've heard that in Episode III we'll get to see Plo Koon utter no lines, turn his head, sit, and clasp his hands.

 

I would be happy with:

one or more lines

Lasting to the end of the movie for the main action battle

dieing AFTER mundi!! or any of the jedi.

Last jedi standing---PLO Koon (except yoda-kenobi)

Yeah, I'd like to see Plo Koon as the last one alive too. Someone told me that HS has confirmed that Plo Koon has a line!!!

If I'm right, Plo Koon can't breathe normal air without his mask, correct? Perhaps it could be smashed off in battle, choaking him. But that would be a bit grim for my liking. I think he should go down fighting strong like the dude that he is.

That's correct. His native atmosphere on Dorin is a mixture of helium and a gas unique to Dorin which is very light. When he breaths oxygen it is really heavy which puts more pressure on his vital organs causeing him to either suffocate or go blind.
It would be cool though when he dies he falls to the ground and hits his head so hard his mask falls off his face.

 

I really want a book with Plo as the main character.

That would be awesome. I'm still a little disappointed that he wasn't in the Clone Wars series. He should have been one of those Jedi fighting Grevious

Have you read the Stark Hyperspace War yet? I thought it was pretty cool.

 

Has anyone figured out when Plo Koon will need his starfighter? besides Anakin and Obi-Wan, Plo was the only other Jedi mentioned in the set diaries, who uses a Jedi starfighter.

No but I would love to see Saesee Tiin fly his starfighter as well.

Speaking of DVD extras, I was hoping to see deleted stuff about Plo Koon in episode II! But they didn't have any!
Hopefully they'll have some in episode III's DVD.

I heard rumours that there might be some extras on the Classic Trilogy DVD set from Episode 2.

 

I don't see why not, i mean that is one of the main reasons i bought the dvd of AOTC so quickly...to find out the droid control ship scene.
I was ticked but now have to something to look forward to.

Does Plo Koon look human under the mask or is he alien? Because his hands are alien hands that match his mask so they can't be the same skin right?

i have no idea but were you quoting that old song "stomp"? I hope that if he does have a line it wont be another language.

 

Does anyone have an answer as to what Plo koon's mask is made of and why it matches his hands/skin?

 

His line will probably get cut, but if not, I'm thinking he won't be speaking basic.

Anyone wanna fill me in about a deleted scene wiht Plo Koon.

 

ok he lives through the clone wars main battle at start... cus he is in the jedi council scenes so either 2 things
he gets killed when clones turn or
2. he gets killed when anakin storms the jedi temple

Some people seem to think that his starfighter scenes have been deleted
If you watch the video announcing the movie title I think it must be Plo Koon getting blown up in a starfighter (we know its not Saesee Tiin now)-
Now I know it's been mentioned that only Anakin and Obi-Wan appear in the space battle- but Plo Koon's fighter scene was filmed after his council scenes- theres no point getting him blown up for the opening space battle as we know he's in the film later!
Mr Lucas would have to refilm some scenes for that??
I guess he get blown out of the sky trying to escape Utapau- Or maybe there's another minor space battle in the movie we aren't aware of?
The more space battles the better, like the asteroid chsse above Geonosis
But knowing Plo's luck his scene will get deleted again!!

 

The starfighter stuff is all speculation. I think he will be shown in the montage where all the clones turn on their Jedi Generals across the galaxy. Its likely he has a crappy death where his clones blow him up.

 

I think Plo Koon absolutely rules... he is one of my favourite characters and also was one of the best Jedi available in the game SW:Galactic Battlegrounds. I actually worship this dude. The Kel Dors are AMAZING. And I think his saber is blue... Yellow sabers don't come in till after ep 6 I believe. Only colours are blue, purple and green. Unless our intelligent hero has the brains to mix blue and green

 

If you look at starwars.com, Plo Koon is the main picture- I guess it's from the Stark Hyperspace Wars (EU) Unless it's another Kel Dor- which I doubt! I thought he had a blue lightsaber though but this one isn't
I'm a bit surprised they're showing a picture of him to be honest- normally show main characters or main EU characters
