Does Ajunta Pall count?
No more clones.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzfest already. Let's move on with some more original stuff now. It's an open landscape, why bother treading on old stories?
@Darth_Kiryan Pall's on the list on the last page.
yeah, i saw the list after i posted, because i was writing at the time.
Actually, it is. Being lightsided, it is not the same power as the EU's "Sith spirits", which is why the quote refers to "similar techniques", not the same technique. Qui-Gon explains in the ROTS novel/script that Sith don't do it. Sith spirits tend to be bound to specific objects or locations while this is not true for Force ghosts.
Why is Githany on that list?
Not to mention, Sith spirits are EU
'Tis a burn.
I think because the Thought Bomb means eternal torture?
So she's still concious, or something.
I can smell non-canon.
I don't have my copy on hand, but I am 99.8% sure that quote or something like it comes from the Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia.
Githany and Kaan don't really belong on that list, but I guess their inclusion refers to the effect of the thought bomb.
Bane also does not belong on that list. He did not become a Sith spirit.
You're going to find that many of the truths we cling to, depend greatly on our own points of view...
Kathleen Kennedy: "EU? More like PU! Mwwuhaahahahhahhahaaahahaha! It's all about New U, peoples. Stop that jibba jabba nonsense." <bathe in money and fanboy tears>
Why was that tree cave haunted in the Empire Strikes Back? Was it haunted from an ancient sith that was there? Why didn't Sideous know about his own sith history? Sideous could have went there or found a way to communicate to the ancient sith to discover Yoda & Luke. Perhaps Sideous did know & allowed it to happen for reasons that we will not find out until later films.
Either does Nihilus then, Technically they are actually attached to their holocrons according to the legacy comics. Darth Kryat talks to them.
The tree was not haunted?
Ahahahahah, oh man...
You can talk to holocron gatekeepers. That's part of the design; holocron gatekeepers are interactive. But that doesn't mean the holocron gatekeepers necessarily are the spirits of the people they represent. We followed Bane through the process of trying to create a holocron; we saw the circumstances of his death. At no point did he attach himself to his holocron or essence transfer into his holocron; he died attempting to essence transfer into Zannah, and his holocron was mostly not even in his possession after the point when he learned essence transfer.
There just never seems to be a lack of usefulness for this:
True that. Very true.
Still though it would be a very interesting conception if it was him.
Bane failed at transferring into Zannah, & Tenebrous failed at transferring into Plagueis, as well?
NO TO SIDIOUS.
You're saying Sideous wasn't interested in the mystery behind that haunted tree cave?
