The Power to Cheat death

In RotS, we learn Plaguies was the only person to know how to cheat death. But according to EU, Darth Sion from KotOR II was able to cheat death and restore his health at will. He could keep himself from dying. The only reason he died was because the Exile had more will than this. So my question is, is Plaguies the really the only person to learn to cheat death?

 

He is the only person Palps/Sidious used to make a point to Anakin, suggesting he too can aquire that power/knowledge. Conveniantly forgetting to mention that this is one thing Sidious doesn't know how to do. Basically we have only Sidious word for all this, which doens't have to mean a thing as he might have just adapted history to his purpose. So you could be right about Darth Sion (don't know KotOR II myself though).

 

I think if you look at Dart Sion that he is already long dead.
Only the Dark Side in his body keeps going.

 

But he is still alive and using the dark side to keep him alive.

I am curious what other people have to say.

 

Considering the complete devastation the Sith have suffered since Sion, perhaps the knowledge was lost.

Or Palps was referring to preventing someone else's death; Sion doesn't appear to be able to do that.

 

After the destruction of the Sith and most of their holocrons, it is safe to assume that Palps didn't know about Sion...

 

Maybe Sids was talking about Qui-Gon...
