I think it is the principle of the thing.
We would be irked by someone invading our boards for no other reason than to cause mischeif.

As it turned out, those kooky Texan's have adopted us quite happily, but that does not make it right though.

I think Shadowfire has it right - its about respect.

Not to mention the fact that there ARE rules on these boards. If you continue to post, you are agreeing to abide by them.

I hereby publically renounce my plans for world domination. I will no longer attempt to take over any other communities, forums or chapters. And I promise to post at least fives times at any board I tried to usurp.
