Frankly, that is my attitude. I feel the same about the OT.

Obviously someone couldn't stand it and handed over $410 to make it an even $12,000.

That's good news! I can't wait until this documentary!

I didn't like "The People vs. George Lucas" documentary. It just seemed like a bunch of whining and complaining and hating on The Phantom Menace and the Special Editions. This kinda seems like a retort to that.

They love the prequels and they're trying to present them from a different perspective, get people to listen, so they can maybe see the films in a new light. I don't see anything wrong with that, even if it doesn't change anyone's mind.

Nobody's pushing this documentary down your throat, so I don't get why you're being so hostile.

Well, I've found the originals old and dated, the special effects don't hold very well either, there's too much childish action (it's like watching children fighting), the story is unbelievable, there's no political or social commentary, the acting is many times clumsy, the dialogue is weird and at the core of its story the morality is just ridiculously simplistic. :p

Showing the opposite of what you got (or in this case, didn't) from the movies.

And yes, those "criticisms" are like a scratched record indeed. Boring.

Good for you :) just remember, without the culture defining trilogy that was the OT. There wouldn't even be a PT. Just let that sink in

People can insult each other all day that's no way to change minds or have meaningful dialogue.

This argument never fails to stun me because by that logic George Lucas should never, ever be insulted. And yet I've seen many Star Wars fans do so over and over again. Running on decades now in fact. Keeping in mind that without George Lucas, there wouldn't even be an OT. Just let that sink in.

Apparently these guys are already working on their next project: Battlefield Earth Strikes Back. Then to round out the trilogy it'll be Norbit Strikes Back.

    Can't wait.

    Rotten Tomatoes "All Critics" Rating

    Battlefield Earth -- 3%
    Norbit -- 9%
    Prequel Trilogy Average: 68%

One of these things is not like the others.... Nice troll, though. I mean, it got me to respond, after all.

I have to agree with the earlier comments about including cast and crew. What is the point of a documentary about a film's production quality when none of the people from the production are included? It's not like Lucas isn't around anymore to get his own thoughts on what he intended with specific scenes, themes, etc.

Having random fans say they love the PT and some Professors gloss philosophy over it does not redeem the films or their lack of quality.

The POINT of the documentary is to provide insight from people who DIDN´T work on the films.
