Quickly surveying the situation, Yuul drags them as gently as he can back up the corridor away from the room. Noticing a cabin labeled "unoccupied" he drags/helps them onto the cabin's floor, away from the threat of being stampeded in the corridors he begins to try and stabilize them, starting with the burn victim, then the crewmeber with the missing limb and finally the third crewman. Upon doing what he can to stabilize them he questions any that are concious as to what happened while continuing to treat them.

burn victim first aid: 6+3 +3+3+(2)= 17 the victim missing an arm: 4+6+5+(2)= 17 the third victim: 5+4+6+(2)= 17

P.S. OOC: wow all 17s

Willpower: 6 + 2 + 3 + 5 + (5) + 2 = 23

OOC: My willpower roll is higher, so I'll assume I'm unconvinced. I don't know enough about your character OOC to know if he's lying or not so I don't know if there's some difficulty penalty to apply to the roll, but mine's higher thankfully anyway. If I'm doing some thing wrong here, we can rescind this post but it makes sense to me.

Lady Victoria Holt

Victoria signaled for her three escorts to stay close to her. This individual had a sense of dishonesty about him, at least from his apparently insincere claims to be part of the ship's security detail.

"I'm sorry?" Victoria gave him a baffled look, "I don't think we've met. At any rate, I do have to get to my suite. If this is your stop, then may I have the lift please? The ships is shaking more violently, and I am getting quite frightened."

[/blockquote]

OOC: Rulebook says I can either diceroll this sort of thing, or roleplay interact it. I'd prefer to roleplay it out, Jedi_Matt, if that's fine with you.

Still hiding under a doorway nearby, Sloor calls to Farn:

"Hey, tech-bug! Care to share some of what you're slicing over there? What the blazes is going on in this miserable ship? What happened to our defenses? Who's boarding? And most importantly, how do I get out of their way?"

While listening to the wounded (if any are consious) finds the rooms com terminal normally used for room service and enters the code (assuming one is required) for the bridge com channel. Activating the comm system he says "This is Yuul reporting from near the engine room, I found three crewman lying outside the engine room, one has serious burns, another is missing a limb, and all are suffering from exposure to vacuum. and if appearences are anything to go buy we have taken serious engine damage and if we only had three engineers then we just ran out! If anyone can spare time to reply please do so if not inform the captain and have someone contact me when possible, I'm in room... (making up a number hope it is ok) zero forty-six. I'll try and keep them alive. Yuul out."

Farn decides to switch to the present tense.

Farn can hear the sounds of blasterfire approaching, and decides that beating a retreat might be a good idea. His weapon and droid are still in his cabin, and either would be useful right now.

He remembers that R1 has a comlink configured to his antenna frequency. He transmits a message to the droid to pick up the gun and meet him halfway. (OOC: This is possible, right?)

The strange alien has meanwhile moved off, and Farn congratulates himself on being a good liar. As he starts to withdraw, some Dug starts shouting a bunch of questions at him. Turning as he runs, Farn shouts back, "Hyperdrive is gone, sublight is failing, and the engine room has decompressed. Looks like a fight's starting here, so if you don't want to be here, get the hell down there!"

Almost as an afterthought, he yells, "Oh yeah, they need people on the turrets too!"

Outside the Salon:
"Actually, Ma'am," pipes in one of the crew, "in an emergency, the turbolifts give priority to commands from crew members. It's a safety feature." He shrugs and bows his head. "We stand ready to serve at your pleasure, ma'am. This deck if fairly empty, but the others may not be so pleasant."
The passenger does appear more physically able than the three crewers. In point of fact, he looks like he could take on all three at once and trounce them in short order. Potential ally, or dangerous threat?
OOC:
between PCs, I prefer RP myself--keeps agression and competetivism down. The three cadets are quite happy to obey whatever orders they are given. Both PCs have more than satisfied the crewers need for trustworthiness and logic.

In a cabin just outside engineering:
"Thank you, doc. There's one more in the engineering department. I'll see if I can't get you some help."
Two of the patients have stabalized, and may even come 'round in a few minutes, but the one missing an arm is in very serious condition. Though stable, he will need hospitalization to recover, not to mentioin a cybernetic prosthesis.

Out in the hallway:
Sloor's blaster is fully charged and ready.
The R1 droid beepgrunts back an acknowlegement signal. Another signal comes through as well. "help. ?" (Choak-pop)Shuzz sounds very shakey.
Will Passenger Varn please report to engineering. Passenger Varn, Please report to engineering. Your assistance is needed.
Further down the hall, a battle-ready Vir pokes his head around a corner. Several passengers are cowering in door frames. Others have run past the cross-corridor without giving him a second glance, but staying out of his way. In the middle of the corridor is a man wearing fancy clothes holding a blaster pistol. Another human runs right by him, carrying luggage. A second later this person runs back to a room, and emerges carrying more luggage, repeating his trip.

For fun, and hopefully clarity, here's a side view of the Cetacean Princess.

Vir strides out from around the corner, staring at the guy with the blaster pistol. He's unarmed currently, but wearing the armor vest and the helmet. "What in the All is going on here?" he complains.

He tries to figure out who's been shooting who and is ready to attempt to dodge if the man shoots at him.

"Thank you bridge, I'll try and get to the crewman." Yuul replied. Doing a last minute glanceover of the three wounded, Yuul exits the room and runs down the corridor in the direction of engineering. On his way Yuul listens to any anoucements or automated warnings that are being broadcast, trying to gain more information on the situation.

OOC: in this post I'm assuming that the person talking to me was someone on the bridge as you said two of them look like they are coming around but hadn't actually woken up/become consious yet.

The man in the hallway spins around into classic target shooter's stance. Seeing Vir armored but without a drawn weapon, he hesitates. "Forgive me, sir" he says in a highly polished accent, "But I am under orders. Please back away. Take as many of these people with you as you can. I haven't had to shoot anyone yet, and I'd just as soon not have to start now, but I have my orders." The other human runs past with more luggage. At this point, Vir recognizes that both are wearing similar outfits, with an intricate symbol of some kind--hard to make out at this distance--on their left chest. Whereas the one pointing the small, long-barreled blaster pistol is tall, thin, and carries himself with poise, the carrier is hunched over, muscular, and looks on edge of panic. His movements are hasty, twitchy, and erratic.

As the Verpine gets away, Sloor is left pondering what to do. When he hears the strange alien confronting someone around the corner, his curiosity gets the better of him. Quickly he crawls closer, being careful to use the alien as cover so as not to expose himself, he tries to assertain the situation. Slowly and discreetly Sloor draws his blaster and keeps it at his side, there might be a business opportunity here...

Lady Victoria Holt

"Citizen Meid," Victoria began, "I would think that a man of your obvious strengths would be more suited to helping the crew resist a boarding attempt. I shall be quite fine with the crewers here. Besides, you just came up this lift--how are you possibly going the same direction?"

Victoria did not like this man's obvious focus on her. Few citizens were helpful to others without their own personal reasons, and fewer still could pick out an Imperial Advisor out of a crowd. This man could be dangerous. There was a chance that he was genuinely helpful, but reason overrode naïveté. If the man pushed the issue, though, there was little doubt that he could be trouble.

"I must return to my cabin. If you do still feel yourself obligated to accompany me, then I would think that you would make a good vanguard; if you were in front, you could head off trouble."

"Will Passenger Varn please report to engineering. Passenger Varn, Please report to engineering. Your assistance is needed."

Farn figures they probably mean him. He adjusts his course for engineering, and sends off a quick message to R1 to meet him there instead.

He hears another cry for help from Shuzz, who's sounding bad. Farn curses himself for getting distracted by that other alien and tunes into the other Verpine's frequency. "Where are you?" he asks as he makes his way down the hallway.

<<Vir>>

"I don't have a problem with that," Vir says pleasantly, stalling for time. The man seemed reluctant to kill yet skilled with arms. Which meant he was, like most vermin males, a wuss.

Vir could exploit that.

He took a step back, arms well away from his sides in body language a vermin might take as nonthreatening(hah!), and growled "Run, idiots." He doesn't like the gun pointing his way, but he'd probably have been shot by now if the man had intended to do it instantly.

He tries to recollect if he's seen the men in livery before as passengers or escort for passengers. He also tries to remember if the symbol on their shoulder is familiar. He strongly suspects they are thieves, but he doesn't particularly mind vermin thieving among themselves.

<<How far away, exactly, are they? In case they are appropriate, a misc knowledge roll of [5]=5, a misc perception roll of [4],4=8, and an intimidate roll of [2],2 =4>>

Victoria Holt seems to have overlooked Vied's presence in the lift while berating the senior cadet, and the more respectful cadet's comment about crew orders over-riding passengers' within the computer system. Or maybe she's just that paranoid from being in the Imperial Court. :)

Top Deck:
Still, she has a trio of crewers to act as escourt now. Overhead, there is a heavy metalic impact sound--a loud "clang". Red sparks are beginning to burn through the ceiling.

Just Outside Engineering:
Farn is able to rapidly make his way to the nearest entrance to Engineering. //'Ve managed to patch the hole in hull with debris and multi-use bonding tape. Emergency sealant will hold it for now. Presure restored. 'M on deck 8, but the hyperdrive tarvic conduits. Working on fixing...//
R1 is waiting for you at the entrance with your blaster and gunbelt in his heavy manipulator arm.

Lounge Level, Midships:
Out in the hallway, granted a temporary reprieve from the threat of being shot, those hiding in doorways take the opportunity to run away and get clear. They give Vir a wide margin on either side. It is mildly amusing to note that some of these passengers who normally are the epitome of class and culture, are scrambling over each other, sometimes on all 4's (or in one case 6's) as they flee like animals.
Vir has seen this vermin person before. It's hard to place him within the structure, because while many others who wear the same markings on their hide-covers have been subservient, even unctions, to him (like the one carrying yet another pair of bags), he in turn has been deffering to and obeying another, who wore no uniform. His snearing at the others with his badge, and many of the crew, place him above them... Head slave? Top worker-drone? As for the exact nature of the marking, Vir just doesn't know enough about it and really can't see it too clearly at this distance. No one mentioned its meaning earlier, or if they did, he can't remember it now.
Since the exchange has been purely vocal, with Vir's non-violent guesture, the vermin with the blaster has relaxed a bit from his targeting stance, but still has his blaster out and pointed in Vir's direction.
Sloor is creaping up behind and is able to make it to the corner just behind Vir. From his angle, he can just make out the nose of the blaster pointed at Vir, and can hear everything.
"Thank you, Krastle. That will be all." A muffled thud. "Oh, now look what you've gone and done." Vir sees the person to whom the vermin with the blaster has been bowing and scraping to emerge from the room the baggage carrier was scuttling back and forth to. He is a youngish human male, with shoulder-long black fur, but you don't get much of a look at him as he dashes to the other doorway. "Nicely done Famden. Your services will not be forgotten." With that, the door that all the baggage has gone and closes it heavily behind him.
The vermin with the blaster looks puzzled for a second, turns and looks over his shoulder. "Sir?" A green light above the door is now shining red.

Down the hall, past him, there is a loud metalic noise, and sparks start shooting into the hall and rebounding from the floor.

ooc: great, lost my original post!

IC:

"Oh Kark, here's that boarding party madam, right on cue."

Madis turned to the crewers and began laying it on thick.

"Allow me to borrow one of your passes so I can get our guest here back to her suite in double time. Two passes between the three of you will be plenty so as long as you stick together it won't matter. Let's go, the more we wait here, the more all our chances of survival decrease, you'll need to sound the alarm about the boarders too."

"It looks like you've been locked out," Vir says with amusement. "-Now- will you tell me what's going on?" He's relaxed slightly now that he realizes the man is probably supposed to be here.

But then he's distracted by the sparks coming down the hall. Boarders? Maybe. He growls and flattens himself to the wall, moving towards the sparks. "We might have a problem," he says to the man.
