    I JUST POSTED THIS

    somthing new for the new
    ~Known Episode II scriptments~

can i put stuff in here?
    to bad i am anyway!

They all stand as SENATOR AMIDALA, CAPTAIN TYPHO, JAR JAR, MAS AMEDDA, DORME, and SENATORS BAIL ORGANA, LUMINARA UNDULI, HOROX RYYDER enter the office. YODA and MACE WINDU move to great the SENATOR, YODA taps AMIDALA with his cane.

    YODA
With you the force is strong...
young Senator. To see you alive
brings warm feeling to my heart.

    PADME`
Thank you, Master Yoda. Do you
have any idea who was behind the
    attack?

    MACE WINDU
    Our intelligence points to
    disgruntled spice miners, on the
    moons of Naboo.

    PADME`
    I don't wish to disagree but I
Think that Count Dooku was behind
    it.

There is a stir of suprise.

    MACE WINDU
You know, M'Lady, Count Dooku was
    once a jedi. He wouldn't
assassinate anyone, it is not in
    his character.

    KI-ADI-MUNDI
He is a political idealist, not a
    murderer.

    YODA
in dark times nothing is what it
appears to be, but the fact
    remains Senator, in grave danger
    you are.

PALPATAIN stands, walks to the window, and look out at the city.

    PD

But she doesn't know what Mace's order is going to be yet. That takes place after this. I said whatever happens after they contact Coruscant could very well fit in with the manipulative scenario. She's not being manipulative here, she is telling Anakin to do something Obi-Wan has already told him to do, which she probably agrees with, but which none the less was something Obi-Wan told Anakin to do. How is that manipulative?

At the beginning of his message, Obi-Wan said something along the lines of "See this message reaches the Council(or Coruscant, whatever)", he gets captured, Anakin gets upset, he wants to run off right away--thus leaving the Jedi uninformed of Obi-Wan's and the Republic's predicament--without doing what Obi-Wan asked him to do in the first place, which was to see that the message reaches Coruscant. He's about to run off without doing that, Padme says "But I thought he said to retransmit his message". How is that manipulative? Obi-Wan wanted his message retransmitted, Anakin was about to run off without doing that, Padme tells him he should do it.

Now whatever happens after that well that may very well end up being manipulation.

As Gonk said, she possibly wants to contact Coruscant herself. There could be other reasons, I don't know. I just don't like the way she keeps on telling Anakin what to do. We'll have to wait till the movie comes out to hear the rest of the dialogue, the context of it, and the way its said to see if shes being manipulative or not.

She may very well want to contact Coruscant, she may just think it's a good idea that if he hadn't already said it, she would have said it anyway. However, Obi-Wan did already say it. Man, you guys have some weird ideas on what manipulation is. Does the fact that your girlfriend/wife(or I suppose husband/boyfriend if you're a girl) says "I thought Joe said to drop off the car at the garage before going to the game" qualify as manipulation if that is what Joe told you to do and you were about to rush off to the game without doing it? Maybe she/he also thinks it is a good idea because, you know, she thinks its making a funny noise, but that doesn't change the fact that Joe told you to drop the car off before going to the game and she is reminding you of that fact.

As I said, whatever happens after that, whatever happens once they contact Coruscant--it may very well be manipulation. But this line from her isn't.

"At this point...is Dooku known by everyone as a big-time hot shot politician???"

    i believe so.

"What would give Padme the idea that Dooku would be behind any of this???"

dooku and his separatists have been causing some problems for the republic lately.

Which is exactly why I can't understand why some people think it is all just fine that the Jedi Council completely disregards this. Sure the fact that he left the Jedi doesn't automatically mean he has gone to the Sith, or that he would become violent. But for them to just completely discount him like that is willfully blind. Who knows, maybe he really doesn't have anything to do with and it's a set up--the film isn't out anything is possible. But they still shouldn't just discount someone who ought to be an obvious suspect. He's been a rebel, he's made trouble for the Republic--he's been peaceful so far, but perhaps he is starting to change his tactics. That in and of itself ought to be enough for them to "keep an open mind" on the subject.

Indy2 said in the other thread that Ani wanting to go doesn't jive with other reports...actually it does. Anakin has yet to call Mace windu in this report, which is where he receives the orders to stay where he is which is where the conflict to go or stay comes in.

Naw Ibo: Dooku was a Jedi. PErhaps in thier minds this should make him incorruptable and any turn to the dark side by a full Jedi is unthinkable. They greatly underestimate the power of the Dark Side. Bascially, even in thier passive, pacifist state, they're somewhat arrogant. Most especially Ki-Adi and Mace.

I mentioned the Senator Luminara Unduli thing the other day, but everyone dismissed it.

PD missed two lines, actually - but they have been heard before, I think:

    PALPATINE
Count Dooku has always avoided any kind
of conflict. It appears he has no desire
to start a war. Why would he kill you?
    To what end?

    PADMÉ
I don't know, but everything in my being
tells me he was behind it...

Thanks for the info perfect dark :). Also, do you or SI have any more information to Padme's reaction to Anakin's horrible line about the sand people, and her reaction to the horrible act he did? And, do you have any more romantic dialog between these two, any info on the wedding, and why they all the sudden get married, and especially more info on the duel between Count Dooku and Anakin/Obi Wan ? :).

    Just wondering

    God bless :)

And only those who have turned to the Dark Side can sense the possibilities of the future. Only going through the Dark Side can we see.

also, "my lord"...heh heh heh. way cool. :)
