The PT: Shot by shot discussion

    Welcome!

    Gather 'round, gather 'round. Here we will discuss shots and still images from the films of the prequel trilogy. Please state your opinions on the paticular shot, don't just say; I like it or I hate it.


    Our first shot is this: from AOTC:

    I think this is a great shot. With the beautiful sunset in the background. I like how it shows the clones just marching in perfectly. All in all, I like it.

    Great shot. I love the use of colour and how you can see so many clones and ships gearing up for war.

    It kind of has a double meaning: in the shot we see a huge army loading onto a ship at sunset; in our minds we see the rise of the Empire in the fading light of the Republic.

    This was one of my favorite scenes during ATOC. With Palpatine overlooking the clone army and the Imperial March playing it really is like UltimateObi-Wan_987 said its the rise of the Empire and the fading light of the Republic.
