Ooooh, Ace, you need to post that constitution stuff in the Fan Club Thread. That might spark a great conversation.

But, anyways, about LOTR and Star Wars, no offense, but the whole story of Middle-Earth contains more information than anything Lucas came up. I'm not a fan of the EU because most of it is crappyp and it contradicts itself a lot, but a fascinating thing about Tolkien is he spent alot of his life working on this 'world' of his. There are more books that Tolkien made about Middle Earth other than LOTR, which I'm sure you're aware of.

The Silmarillion comes to mind for me the most though I have not read that much of it

 

Oh, I didn't know there were more, outside of LotR and The Hobbit. I'm kind of a Middle Earth n00b!


But I loved EU. Yeah, some of it contradicts, but that's inevitable given the amount of authors you have writing. But an upside is you get many different styles of writing from different people.

 

Some of it is enjoyable, but come on, Palpatine clones? Boba Fett living past the Sarlacc Pit? I'm not accepting that as part of Star Wars. It's just... stupid. If it was really like that, neither Palpatine nor Fett have a complete story arc in the movies (as stupid as Fett goes out, still).

 

Well, I always believed that Boba would get out of the Sarlacc. But I agree with ya on the Palpy clones, that's kind of preposterous. However, I find most EU enjoyable. Ever read Darksaber? Ugh, I despise that book. Hate, I tell you.

I tried to get into EU but all I ever found was Palpy clones and stuff about Boba escaping the Sarlacc Pit and Leia and Han having little kiddies that become Jedi.

I'm sure there's some good stuff out there (now that I think about it Labrynth(sp) of Evil is probably a very good book) but I dunno.

That was the hardest book i ever read in my life.

 

Which is why I haven't read that much of it.

 

Has the constitution been submitted to strilo yet?

 

A select few have been selected for a small selected focus grou where we are selecting the selected constitution.

 

Why was I not informed of this? I was one of the memebers that plotted against the big three. It is only natural that I be apart of the constitutions birth. I ask that I be able to see what is going on.
