    Hello everyone!

    Hope your all doing well!

With research now completed and a story completed, myself and my good friend (and actor) Tom Duncan are now in full swing to begin writing, Star Wars: The Rebellion Begins set right before the events of Episode IV: A New Hope. After scrapping The Revenge of the Jedi project in January, I began reworking the idea and spent about a month researching the Expanded Universe, along with other sources, and began to piece together the events leading to Leia?s capture at the beginning of Episode 4.

What we have now is something that we believe shall be a chapter that will allow you to go straight to watching Episode 4 once you are finished watching TRB.

?Deep within the Maw, Governor Tarkin sees the final construction stages of the dreaded Imperial Battle Station, the ?Death Star?. Once tested on the slave planet of Despayre, Tarkin launches the Battle Station, taking it far from the Maw Installation and into the Outer Regions of Space.

When word of the Imperial Battle Station reaches Mon Mothma, leader of the Rebel Alliance, a plan is formed to help restore Hope to Rebellion and secure a long awaited victory against they?re tyrannical aggressors.?

With work no underway on the screenplay we hope to begin Pre-Production towards the end of Summer. The film will bring back many characters we know, love and hate from the Star Wars Saga such as, Admiral Ackbar, Bail Organa, Emperor Palpatine, Darth Vader and Expanded Universe character, A?Sharad Hett.

We hope to bring the most exiting Star Wars Feature (Fan)Film Chapter to the World Wide Web on the 26th of May 2008 where it will premier in the Glasgow Film Theatre and the UGC Cinema as the first of two Charity events we will be running at that time, and with your support we can make it possible for what could be the greatest fan film to make it?s mark in the Fan Film community.

If you are interested in finding out more about the project, or become a part of it, I can be contacted here via PM, or by contacting me at jonathanmcenroe@yahoo.co.uk

I hope to have updates soon and look forward to hearing from you.

    All the best,

    Jonathan

This sounds excellent Jonathan  :D I'll be interested in seeing it. I can't plan too far ahead, 2008 is a while away, but if I can make it to Glasgow for the premiere, I'll do my best to get there.

I am a huge EU fan myself, so if you need any info on references for that time period, please ask away. Dark Horse Comics have covered that period to some extent, as has LucasArts. There is also a book coming out on the story behind the Death Star between ROTS and ANH, fitting together all the various stories together. Its out later this year.

    Hey Tim,

cheers for the offer mate, I'll keep it in mind and throw a PM your way if we need any info. It has been fantastic fun to bring all this information together, balancing it off and try to come up with an interesting and entertaining film story.

As always these fan films are a slow process, but we hope to pick up speed during the year with a website avaliable (with a forum) for everyone to come and keep up to date with the films progress, talk about the film and chat about general stuff, or Star Wars.

We really want to push what has already been achieved recently and take the bar higher and come out with something close to the official Saga.

It shall be a long and interesting adventure :D

    Hey peeps,

    hope your doing well :D

Just wanted to throw a little bit of new info your way, about a prologe to our main Film, THe Rebellion Begins, The Fallen Hero, about a Rebel rescue mission to help liberate slaves on an invaded planet, led by the Jedi Master, A'Sharad Hett (Tom Duncan, pictured below) who faces one of the Emperor's Right Hand in order to

    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v393/jonathanmc/Ashaxrad.jpg]

Tom Duncan, will play the roll of A'Sharad Hett, who will be remasked in the upcoming, Fallen Hero Prologue.

The film is now in Pre-Production and will be released hopefully Winter 2006 or Spring 2007, marking the first step in our venture to create our Film.

I shall have more news soon.

    Hey Jonathan_McEnroe
You mind if I contact the creator of Asharad, Jan Duursema, she'll be interested to see her character in your film?

    Hey Tim,

    sure man, that'd be cool.

I loved the A'Sharad character from Outlander, on the official site it mentioned he is shot down during the Clone Wars and other sources like the Wookipedia says the opposite, but for my love for the character, in our story he survives and returns, helping the Rebellion.

    Hi Jonny! Hi Tim!

I got Tim's message about the film--way cool! One note--I did not create A'Sharad Hett--Tim Truman has that honor (Sharad Hett and A'Sharad Hett were created by Tim T. for Outlander--one of my favorite SW EU stories.). I did unmask him though (with John Ostrander writing)and created his 'look' with the tattoos on his face.

For more info on A'Sharad (that you might not have seen?)--see the Siege of Saleucami (issues 74-77 of Star Wars Republic) A'Sharad played a big part in the siege on CIS forces there.

    Looking forward to your film!

    Best--

    Jan

    Hey!

    Thanks guys, much appreciated :D

    Hey Halibut,

I hope we can get some sets made up for the film, it will help place the actors in that setting to react to it more.

"The Fallen Hero" (working title) will be our test in a completely digital world. I know how bad this can look sometimes, so I have decided to really take the time to get this right and try out many new techniques to push the limits.

It is also for budget reasons as well, for this film we are minimal, and will need to take the time to get the money together to bring Rebellion to life. However, we are confident it will come together no problem ;)

It's an exciting time just now, and I battered out two new drafts of 'Hero' last night after logging out of MSN, so I'm pritty tired typing this in work just now hehehe, might take it easy tonight :p

In the next few months we'll be deep in Pre-Production, we'll have our official site up and will have a forum for everyone to talk with each other about Star Wars and socialise with others :)

I hope to have more very soon for you guys :)

    Hi Jonathan :)

I want to wish you good luck with your fanfilm. The London FanForce are currently getting a fanfilm together, with Darth_Konikus at the helm. Here's his site for the film: The Darkness Within
We aim to start filming this summer, hoping to have our first cast and crew meeting in July.
Our one is a bit of fun really, but sounds like you're going to strive for something very professional and top notch. Good luck and so far it's sounding very good. How much of a budget do you have?

Please keep us updated and look forward to hearing and seeing more :D
