The only thing I still can't believe is that they decided not to.
What i posted was concept art for TLJ, it was at one point possible it would have made it into the film
I am glad they did not. Porgs are just to cute.
Same, don't think that would have gone over well with a younger audience.....or me.
How are you doing today?
I still remember watching in horror as the scene with the porgs and Anakin's lightsaber played out on the screen. I was like: "They are not seriously going to do that, are they?"
Wait... perhaps that is TLJ's true "I have a bad feeling about this"-moment?!
Apparently B.B.-8 is the one to say I have a bad feeling about this.
reminds me a bit of the rumors that the first shot in TFA after the scroll would be luke's severed hand, still grasping anakin's lightsaber, in space.
Wasn't that the opening at one point in the making?
I didn't even notice the one porg put his eye up to the emitter in the actual film.
As awful as the severed hand sounded back then, I've kind of warmed up to the idea now. I don't know why.
sounded like it.
"welcome to our new trilogy, fans! your first image of which will be a bloody, mangled, rotting hand."
Would it rot in the vacuum of space?
And it was a pretty clean cut too, IIRC.
depends on if it went out to space immediately after vader cut it off, or if it festered in a corner of a bespin mining facility until a curious janitor dislodged it and, because it was his last day and he was already late, kicked it through a crack instead of properly disposing of it in the waste bin.
and before anyone says anything about sabers cauterizing wounds. that's PT stuff. dr. evazan was bleeding all over the place, and you know jj abrams was going to go with CT logic. so lots of blood.
No wonder Maz didn't want to get into details.
how did his hand get out of bespin without rotting?
Wouldn’t his hand be crushed by the Gravity on Bespin?
gravity is nothing compared to that mighty skywalker blood
