Have we seen Seagoat in a while?

 

I still exist and check the board every so often. Going through some personal issues irl right now that've been causing me a lot of stress and made me need to think about some things. I'll get back to full participation after it's resolved

 

Oh yeah. That was too much for me in terms of wrecks, lol. I'm happy for Dillon, but he led for literally just one lap before winning, which is a pretty lame finish. It sucks for Ryan Blaney, since he led for 140+ laps or so.

I'm also sad that Danica Patrick DNF'd because this was her last NASCAR race too. She was fairly far behind anyway, but that was a disappointing career finish. Oh well.

NASCAR is one of those sports that for the most part only Americans are really into it's kinda boring how they always go in circles.

But then again, I don't care much for Formula 1 either- pretty much the one with the Ferrari has the advantage, which is one of the good things of NASCAR in that technically all the cars are the same

I'm not getting enough hours so that's stressing me out. I like what I'm doing though, the work hours go pretty quickly.

I'm a Not-Yet-Seen-All-of-Harry-Potterer. Does that count?

I haven't paid a lot of attention to NASCAR in a long time, so if there's some political reason why I shouldn't like Dillon, I wouldn't know. Other than, I guess, that awkward dab he did after winning. He seems like he's kind of on an ego trip, I dunno. I just think all this talk of Dillon carrying Earnhardt Sr.'s legacy forward just because he's number 3 is funny, given that Earnhardt's actual biological grandson is also racing (and up until last year, his son was too).

I like a lot of sports too. I wouldn't say I'm a "fan" of many, but there aren't many that are so boring I can't watch them. I guess I can admit it's hard for me to watch curling, or like, the World Series of Poker. That said, NASCAR and the Indy 500 is the only kind of auto racing I'll typically watch.

 

I've never seen any Harry Potter film either. May have seen 10 or 15 minutes when one of them was on TV once, but that's about it. Never read a Harry Potter book either.

 

Yeah, I don't have anything against HP--they look like cute kids and all and I'm sure the books are charming...just never got around to it

@Pensivia I think you'd like HP, they are actually quite deep and have a lot of interesting lore about them.

 

There is this scene in Batman Forever I believe where Robin is doing laundry and doesn't have time for it to dry so he air drys it by doing karate or something. Anyway always cracks me up.
