We should all choose different colors to type in. Think about how cool that would look.

I was referring to your Agents of SHIELD comment. P:

I thought Jessica Jones season 2 was disappointing. Dreadful is too strong of a word, but it's definitely subpar to the usual standard for the Marvel-Netflix shows.

I think The Punisher is better, to be honest, and I also found that one to be underwhelming.

Shockingly, my favorite recent Marvel-Netflix show has been The Defenders, which I thought was mostly satisfying.

i hope u enjoyed those opinions u didnt ask for

You know what I realized? We have not had somebody new join this bizzare social thread in a long time. Perhaps we scare them off.

so you know how you have the options above your post? There are two options after the one about how big you want the letters. Go to the last one and it should make an indent and then press post.

Aw, thanks, Eves!:D (I'm a Led Zeppelin fan too... and In the Out Door is one of my fave LZ albums...particularly love the opening to "In the Evening" and I'm with @B3...I love "Carouselambra" too!)

I'll throw out one of the first ones that jumps to mind...this one was HUGE for me:

    The Cure, Disintegration (1989)

Though this was released in 1989 and I knew and liked it then, it didn't really become one of my most personally impactful albums until a few years later, in about 1992. I was going through a really intense break-up of a long-term relationship then and, to deepen my painful state of angst:p, I listened to this album CONSTANTLY for weeks...over and over, beginning to end. (On a Sony "Walkman" cassette tape player, to be exact...the satisfying sound of popping a tape into one of those, hearing the click, and then the satisfying snap of closing the tape door...ah, memories of an analog era[face_laugh])

As anyone even slightly familiar with The Cure knows, much of their work is really great for intensifying one's angst:p. But this particular album is such a masterpiece of a unified soundscape. So atmospheric, so dark, so...gooooooddd. Robert Smith's perfectly yelpy anguished voice mixed with dark melodies and intricate, raw lyrics filled with striking poetic images and unusual phrases. I wish I had more musicological/technical expertise so I could articulate the specific elements that make it so good, but hopefully I've been able to communicate just a hint of what I love about it. I haven't listened to it in its entirety in years...but writing all this makes me want to, even though I don't feel a bit angsty atm and in fact have had some really fun times over the past week in particular:p

And hi yourself, @Valency Jane! [:D]Yes, all is well with me. Had a fun trip recently and got the chance to visit a good friend I don't get to see very often. How are things with you? Work and school treating you well, I hope!:)

I'll try to finish out the rest of the days...probably just as well that I missed days 1-5. Though there's tons of music I love, I'm not sure I would be able to come up with more than 5 albums that I would consider truly "impactful"....[face_thinking]
