Spending my evening watching the Assassin's Creed movie, and the special features.

Anyone else actually seen it? It seems to have come and gone without making much of a ripple.

Is it any good? Or is it your typical video game movie?

 

Me and Moll both enjoyed it, me as a hardcore AC fan, and her as a newcomer.

I wouldn't say it was anything revolutionary, but the action and effects were great, and the plot was solid enough. I certainly couldn't describe it as a bad movie, though it feels like it falls into a slightly weird middle ground between trying to be understandable for newcomers, whilst also not overly explaining too much for old fans.

 

I have never played any of the AC games so perhaps I will pick it up.

 

It worked to get Moll playing AC, she's played 5 of them since watching it.
