The Padawan's elbows clunked onto the ship's console. "Master, what are we going to do? All of our brothers and…"

"I know, Padawan," the older man interrupted his student, before sighing heavily, “I know."

Palpatine...how could this have happened? We trusted him…

"We can't go back, can we?" his Padawan was saying. "If the clones have turned against the Jedi Order, then…master, the Grand Army is everywhere."

Despair in the girl’s voice drew icy fingers across the older man's heart. But he couldn’t let it distract him. He had to save himself and his Padawan. Thinking on where they could hide, an idea came to mind, "The Outer Rim. It will serve, at least until we can figure out what to do."

He had raised the navicomputer's displays when the proximity alarm began to blare.

"Master…it's a Star Destr…" And whatever the girl was going to say next was drowned out by localised thunder as blue lightning crashed across the freighter's prow. Shields screamed. The vessel shuddered, a wounded animal in the night.

Drawing on the Force, the Master quickly ran his hands over the console, activating the Hyperdrive…

…just as a second salvo from the massive Destroyer washed over the freighter, sending it rolling through space, as sparks flew from the consoles…

And then it was over, the ship entered into the blue tunnel of hyperspace. But it would only last for a few seconds, as the ship let out a torturous groan before the tunnel collapsed into a star field. One that the Master didn’t recognize…

The girl was getting to her feet. "Ugh...where are we? Master?"

Where you are most needed, something whispered to the older man. But he pushed the thought away turning to examine the sparking wreck that was the nav console, "I don't know...the charts have been…"

"Master." A strange calm in his pupil's voice. The older man looked at the girl - to see his padawan with eyes fixed out the viewport. The master looked that way, and saw it: a blue-green world looming large off the freighter's port bow, hues strangely hypnotic in the eternal galactic night.

Emergency cutout must have kicked in, he thought. He tore his eyes away from the view, instinct taking over. He flicked his eyes over the readouts. "I'll need your help - autopilot is down, and we're not going to last much longer up here." He pressed buttons; perused a display. "Atmospheric content seems to support life."

"Do you know which world that is, master?"

And for a second, he thought he did - something about it all lingered on the tip of his tongue. But then Master Sule was pressing buttons, turning to the task of preserving the tiny capsule of the freighter's protective bubble long enough for them to land. "I suppose we are about to find out."

Tython, the forgotten homeworld of the Jedi Order. Abandoned since the time of the Ruusan Reformation, the world had entered into obscurity to all but the most dedicated Jedi scholars. And even they assumed that the world was empty of any Jedi, aside from those in the many graveyards on the world.

However, they were wrong. The best kept secret of the Jedi High Council, was the relative handful of Jedi who had stayed behind on their ancestral home. Frozen in carbonite, for a reason that was lost to time, these Jedi slumbered in the deteriorating Tython Temples. Eventually, they were forgotten even by the Council, just as their home was.

But even if the reason was forgotten to time, the Jedi would serve a purpose nonetheless. Centuries after even the most devoted scholars had forgotten Tython, the Jedi Order would be nearly destroyed from within. With the traitorous Darth Vader leading the former Grand Army of the Republic against them, the few remaining Jedi fled far and wide. A pair of these refugees would stumble upon Tython, and awaken their ancient brethren from their centuries long sleep...

Forgotten by time, you are one of these Ancient Jedi. Only you know the true reason you were frozen, all those years ago. But now, you have been awoken from your deep slumber. The question becomes, in a Galaxy that barely resembles what it was when you last saw it...what will you do?

You have the power of the Force behind you, but in a Galaxy hostile to your very kind. As a Jedi, you can barely comprehend this. But you must, for your sake, and for the sake of your nearly extinct brethren.

In a Galaxy fallen under the iron-boot of the Sith...you must do what you can to survive. And take the fight back to the Sith.

But a small part of you wonders if you should just give in and join the Sith. Will you give in to these traitorous thoughts and join the Dark Side? The temptation is strong, as it always has been. But the Dark Side was stronger than it had been even when you were put into carbonite. In the end, the choice remains yours and yours alone...what will you do?

    Your Character:

Obviously, this game will revolve mostly around Force Users, whether Jedi, or Dark Jedi. I won't limit your choice here. Choose whichever you prefer, just know that we all start on Tython. And that we all begin as Jedi. You can still go dark, but you won't start that way.

Bio: Pakoon was a promising, if large, Padawan when he was chosen be frozen in carbonite along with his Master and other Jedi. Though physically imposing, Pakoon found that he was as skilled a healer and animal handler as he was a fierce combatant, though he has trouble with more senses-focused, introverted Jedi powers. Jakoon's trumpeting laugh has been known to shake walls, and he has a love of poetry, music, and sport. For the last, he prefers tests of strength and stamina rather than contact sports, as his size gives him a distinct advantage. His weapon of choice, too, is odd, preferring the large, lightsaber pike to the standard lightsaber, or even the massive Great Lightsaber.

    Lightsaber:
    Amount: 1

    Lightsaber Pike
The lightsaber pike, also known as lightsaber lance, was a unique weapon that resembled a primitive poleaxe in many aspects. The long handle of the weapon was made of phrik alloy, which allowed it to resist lightsabers. At the end of the handle was a lightsaber blade that was shorter and thicker than a normal one. The blade could be activated by a switch further down the weapon's haft. Including the blade, the weapon was almost as long as the wielder's body, and could keep enemies at a distance, giving the wielder the advantage of a longer reach.

    Species: Human

    Age: 12(looks younger/small build)
    Languages: Basic, Ryl(Twilek)
    Home Planet: Alderaan

    Appearance:
Skin Color: Pale, even before the Carbonite Sleep.
    Hair/Fur Color: Black, Medium Length
    Eye Color: Silver
    Height: 4'8"
Clothing: Cream toned Padawan Tunic with a tan outer robe.

Bio: Calen was born on the world of Alderaan, and for the first few months of his young life was considered strange by his parents and family. He would cry out and seemingly random times for what appeared to be no reason at all. What they couldn't know then was that he was force sensitive, beyond that even, he was hypersensitive to the emotions and pain of others, especially death. It was the latter that had him cry out at times, feeling the impact it left in the force nearby. Fortunately, being in the Core Worlds meant that the young boy was found fairly quickly by the order. Having been only a few months old Calen remembers next to nothing of his parents from that time.

In the order, Calen's supposed ailment was eventually discovered, albeit slower than it might have otherwise given Tython's low population. The boy was taught the meditation techniques, among other things, as young child of five, sooner than most, in an attempt to give him some element of control over the ability. The small element of relief it brought him lasted the young jedi long enough to learn to close off his senses, limit them in someway. Concentration in this form proved difficult for Calen, it was easy enough to let it free, or to close it down, but the in between would be something he still struggles with today.

When he was seven galactic standard years old he was chosen by a master to be their padawan. The master was patient where others would give up as Calen struggled to control his senses. A patient hand guided him when he began learning the way of the lightsaber, accepting and encouraging defensive leanings and desire to avoid fighting where possible. With his master's aid he overcame his fear of letting his senses out and began to embrace as they were perhaps meant to be.

Upon awaking, Calen remembers nothing of what came to pass that resulted in the jedi placed in carbonite, and finds it as strange and curious as anyone else might. His loss of this memory disturbs him on some level he can't quite explain.

Bio: Born into the war that seemed to tread unto an uneasy victory, he grew in stature, power, and position in the Army of Light as a field mechanic. Where his ships went he went, even unto the breach, and even there in the midst of battle he was to fix them. Learning to fight and operate machinery without letting it stop him from getting the job done it was a trying time to be a Jedi and learning the ways of the force. Especially when one is such a large target upon the field of battle.

Early on he learned to see what was happening around him with the force as his ally, and to use the plates he had garnered as shields to take incoming damage and spare his hide during a fight. Although it was his natural aptitude with the technique of mechu-deru that saw him given, with his Knighthood, his official position within the Army of Light as battle field mechanic and working hand in hand with the XO's to keep logistics working. Upon the disolutionment of that army by the Ruusan Reformations it was not a hard task for him to volunteer for a rather unorthodox measure, to sleep until the time once more might arise for the need for an Army of Light to combat the darkness and the need for someone knowledgeable in how to keep it running.

Mala Palerma is the middle son of House Palerma of Serenno, and the most gifted in the Force in his family. Given to the Jedi Order at a very young age, Mala does not remember his parents or siblings and has not made any attempts to keep in contact with his kin or homeworld but he is aware of his origins. His only concern is the Jedi Order and its archives. Trained by a Jedi Lore Keeper, Mala would come to love the history of the Jedi and the Sith and dedicate his life to finding and securing knowledge for the Jedi Archives, a task he took seriously during the Reformation years.

Prior to his slumber on Tython, Mala was considered a respected historian and had a promising career as a Lore Keeper, possibly one day becoming either the Chief Librarian or a master with a permanent seat on the Council of First Knowledge. He had taken on a Padawan of his own but lost the apprentice on Ruusan when the Brotherhood of Darkness had unleashed its Thought Bomb upon all present on the planet. Since then he has refused to take on a second padawan and has no plans to do so for reasons he has refused to discuss. He is content with caring for his scrolls and data stacks and allowing his research to elevate him to Master one day.

But that day would never come when the High Council chose him to participate in a project that would leave him frozen in time with several other Jedi.

Sentry is programed to follow the orders of resident lifeforms according to established chain of command, so long as these do not conflict with other programming/directives. A number of Sentry's directives appear to be classified or missing due to data corruption. Sentry's design seems to suggest a form of combat droid, though other duties may also be performed. Sentry's exo-skeleton is made of a cortosis alloy resistant, but not impervious, to blaster fire and lightsaber blades. Sentry's hands each have four extended fingers which also act to serve as cutting tools (knives). Sentry's hands may retract and a single blaster may extend from the top of each forearm for combat purposes. Sentry is now ONLINE.

Narrowly surviving the battle of Ruusan, he was part of the Council’s committee to interface with the Republic government setting up the Reformation, however he was a major opponent of the disarming of the Republic and Jedi militaries. His frustration with the Council grew, and he was passed over on his Jedi Trials several times – it was the opinion of the Council that he needed to bide his time and undergo very specific meditations on the Unifying Force in order to progress. Deeming it a waste of a talented proactive Jedi like himself while the Order slowly rebuilt, he persuaded his master to recommend him for the carbonite stasis project. Bio: Noro Rayl’skar was born on Bothawui. He had a normal Jedi experience as a youngling. He quickly developed a keen interest in current event, politics, and economics. His difference from other Jedi children set him apart. As a result, he only had a couple close friends. He was very cunning and able to manipulate others, but refrained from abusing his power on others; unless the mission called for it. He was chosen by a Ryn, named Wroostri Glarn, as a Padawan. Noro was a good apprentice, but had many issues with certain aspects of the Jedi way. He too often used his Bothan cunningness to manipulate others on a mission. His Master often rebuked him for exerting his will on others. In time Noro learned to suppress this talent as he broadened his understanding of the Unifying Force. He took a special interest to a group of Force skills referred to as Alterations. He was very strong in Telekinesis and Mind Control came as second nature to him. In the fast wilderness of Endor he became well practiced in the art of Alter Environment. He chose to take up Makashi. This was probably due to Form II being his Master’s primary lightsaber form as well. At 18 he earned the rank of Jedi Knight and was frozen shortly after.

    Height: 6’ 2”
Clothing: White tunic and pants, dark grey robe

Bio: Unlike many of her fellow carbonite-encased Jedi, Briiana was not frozen as part of a project, but rather as a form of punishment. Or perhaps it was protection… not for her, but from her.

A submissive, obedient, and well-liked Padawan, she had gained the rank of Jedi Knight with comparative ease, only for it to soon grow apparent how much she had been hiding. The behaviors that the Council had ignored or missed during her training were now blatantly obvious as the former golden child transformed before their very eyes into an insolent, suspicious, rebellious adult.

Hoping to bring her back to the Jedi they had knighted, the Masters warned and counseled her many times, resulting in only temporary improvement on a few occasions. Her powerful telepathy gave her the ability to advertise her thoughts to anyone within the vicinity, which she did on numerous occasions, though she usually directed her thoughts solely to one or two of the Masters who dealt with her regularly in a vain attempt to make them understand.

As these instances grew more frequent and less contained, the Council became far more concerned with the mental stability of the other Jedi she interacted with than they were with her behavior otherwise. Finally, they attempted to isolate her multiple times, only to discover her true telepathic power as she communicated with many of the Jedi, even at the distances at which they placed her.

Bringing her back to Tython one last time, the Council demanded that she cease contacting any Jedi, informing her that, though she was no longer considered a danger otherwise, her mental powers gave her an almost Sith-like ability to harm the Order as individuals and as a whole. Defiant to the end, Briiana responded telepathically, not only to the Council but to the entire Jedi Order within range, refusing to obey, and the Council instantly communicated her punishment: immediate encasement within a carbonite prison, from which she would likely never be released.

Minutes later, as the fiery blast of the carbonite surrounded her, the anger slipped away for a mere second, frozen in time, as her face softened in anguish.

Hair/Fur Color: Brown, worn almost shaved
    Eye Color: Brown
    Height: 5'11"
Clothing: Typically wears Jedi robes over partial Mandalorian Crusader armor

    Bio:
Born on the planet Mandalore, Solus Tova was the son of a bounty hunter father and a cargo pilot mother. They released him to a Jedi recruiter when they were called up to war by Mandalore the Uniter, during the New Sith War, when the Mandalorians turned against their former allies, the Sith. He was raised during, and fought in the war along with his Master, under Lord Valenthyne Farfalla. Solus' ability to read terrain, and find strategic advantage in most situations made him a capable Padawan when it came to combat, and though he was an excellent soldier (as any Mandalorian should be, he believes), a commander he was not.

Typical Jedi reserve was not something that he had in long supply, and he tended to get too focused on his comrades and their survival, rather than the overall mission of winning the war. He fought battle to battle, taking each as they came, dealing with the now, rather than the "what might be". He had a lower fatality and injury rate in every unit in which he served, as a result of his focus and particular set of skills.

When the war ended, he struggled with his place in the Order, and was eventually selected by his Master to be put into stasis. As a Jedi who's sole purpose for existing seemed to be combat was not of great use in a time of relative peace, Solus saw this as a great failure on his part. A Mandalorian, Jedi or not, who couldn't make himself useful, was worth less than nothing. It was with quiet resignation and self hatred that he stepped into the carbonite freezing chamber, ages ago.

“Are you sure about this? The war is over, and the Sith are broken. Do we need to leave this planet? And leave some of our brothers and sisters behind?” one of the Masters asked his fellow Jedi.

“It is true the Sith are defeated, but they have always returned. It may take them centuries, but they always do. You may call me paranoid if you wish, but I believe that without an active threat, or the Army of Light, our descendants will lack the will to prepare themselves for a future war. By abandoning Tython, and leaving a small group of our fellow Jedi behind, we can have a way to help our descendants, should they need it,” one of the other Masters replied, showing unique foresight.

A Wookiee Master, one of the few of his kind with Force Sensitive, nodded his large head, “{I agree with you Master Karana. We cannot afford a situation like the aftermath of the Civil War. Having a small group of Jedi ready to help if another Purge should happen is only prudent.}”

A fourth Master, this time a Caamasi, sighed heavily, “Must we always fight the Sith? Is it too much to hope that they may finally be gone from the Galaxy?”

“We all hope they are gone. But we cannot be sure, and thus we must continue with the Tyht…….

    19 BBY

“Nic…e…land…ing…Master,” a young human Padawan said, stepping out of the flaming wreckage of a small freighter.

Stepping out behind her, was a tall Selkath Jedi. The man was shaking his large head, the ‘fins’ next to his mouth swaying slightly. Regaining his bearings, he turned to his young Padawan.

“As long as we survive it is a good landing Padawan, remember that,” he said with what passed for a Selkath smile.

The young girl cocked a red eyebrow at him, “I really hope you’re joking Master Sule.”

This time laughter came from the Master, “Glad to see your sarcasm came out intact Melina.”

“Sometimes I wonder about you Master,” Melina said, shaking her head and sending some hair in her eyes.

“Don’t we all?” the Selkath joked, as he finally noticed what was behind his Padawan, “We seem to have discovered something my Padawan.”

Melina turned around, and saw a massive Temple complex looming in front of her.

There were three large structures, though ‘large’ was an understatement. They were truly massive, quite possibly as large as the Jedi Temple back on Coruscant. Though they were in obvious disrepair…it looked like they had been abandoned for years.

“I don’t recognize those temples Master,” Melina said, a slight note of awe creeping into her voice.

    “Neither do I…” Sule said.

You should recognize them…they are your destiny… a voice echoed in the Selkath Master’s head.

Sule shook his head, wondering why he was still hearing that voice. But it didn’t shake the feeling that he should be entering those temples. Or at least the center one,
which was calling to the old Master.

“Melina, I believe we should head for the center Temple,” Sule said, starting to walk past his Padawan.

“But why Master?” the red-haired Jedi asked, moving to follow her Master.

“Shelter if nothing else. But something about that temple is calling to me,” Sule replied, quickening his pace, and forcing his Padawan to jog to keep up.

Melina was seriously starting to wonder what had gotten into her Master, but she continued to follow him. Soon enough they reached a large archway that lead into the center Temple. Walking into the dark interior, the pair of Jedi lit their lightsabers. A green and orange glow sprang to life, the green centered on Sule, while the orange originated with Melina.

As they moved deeper into the Temple, both Jedi felt the Force flowing around them. Unlike the darkness that clouded the Galaxy, the Temple was filled with the Light Side. It permeated every wall, making them believe this had been a Jedi Temple at some point in the distant past. The question was, which one?

After walking for what seemed like hours, they reached a ‘fork in the road’ for lack of a better term. The pair split up, as the Force seemed to want them too. Melina went right, while Sule went left.

Continuing along his path, Sule came across a large chamber, filled with what looked like blocks of durasteel at first. The Selkath Master approached one of them, hearing the Force sing in approval. What he wasn’t expecting was to see a Jedi frozen inside the ‘durasteel’. Flinching back quickly, Sule was shocked at the sight. This wasn’t
    durasteel…this was carbonite!

Walking back up to the Jedi, Sule looked for the controls to the slab. If he could see the readings, he would know if this Jedi was still alive. Quickly finding a set of blinking lights on the side, Sule saw that the Jedi was alive and well…as well as he could be frozen in a block of metal anyway.

Sule quickly moved down the row, and found several other Jedi frozen. He wasn’t sure if reviving them was the right move, but leaving them like this…when the Order he had known had been destroyed…it left him little choice. So the Selkath Jedi memorized the controls, and stood at the center of the room. From there, he subtly used the Force to awaken the Jedi frozen in their ‘tombs’…

For her part, Melina had entered into a much smaller chamber. It held only three blocks of ‘durasteel’, along with a shadowy alcove in the back. Walking forward, Melina let out a shrill scream. She saw a woman, in Jedi Robes, frozen in the metal with a look of anguish on her face. Quickly drawing on the calming aspect of the Force, Melina tried to get her breathing under control.

She wasn’t as knowledgeable as her Master, but she did know what this was. Carbonite freezing…the only question was why Jedi would be frozen in what looked like their own Temple. Melina stepped forward, and found the controls for the carbonite. She sent a query to her Master, and received permission to ‘thaw out’ the Jedi she had discovered. Melina worked quickly, and set the three slabs to thaw.

As red light lit up the faces of the three Jedi, Melina heard an ominous sound in the background. Any Jedi who had fought against the Confederacy would recognize it…servomotors…a droid. Looking back at the alcove, Melina saw a slivery droid step out of it, a red mono-eye moving across its black visor. The red dot locked onto the young Jedi, as she stepped back. The droid had a blaster rifle in its hand, and Melina was ready to fight if needed…

    Mala Palerma

    Tython

"When I wake up, I had better not find the Archives in worse shape than I have left them," echoed his words in a surreal dreamscape. There was friendly laughter, strained laughter shared between two friends, colleagues even. He had a sense that it would be the last time he heard her laugh. He knew it was a her even though he could not see her face. It disturbed him he could not picture her. Why? Why did he know it would be the last time he would hear her? What had he meant by 'when he would wake up'?

There was fear in his veins as the thought of never waking up again occurred to him just before the tibanna gas surrounded him, obscuring his vision of the woman and the others. He felt the cold vapors against his skin and he tried to say something in protest to what was happening to him, but the gas solidified far too rapidly with the swift introduction of the freezing liquid carbon.

Then there was nothing as oblivion took him...!

    ...

    ...

    ...

    And finally...

The cold hard floor greeted him as Mala slumped, heavily out of the solid block. With a muffled groan, the Jedi archivist slowly opened his eyes to assess his situation only to find that he could not see. Had something gone wrong with the carbon freezing? How long had he been frozen and more importantly who had freed him? Jedi? Sith? The archivist closed his eyes and rolled onto his side, he resisted the urge to sneeze on the dust cloud he had disturbed with his unceremonious awakening, and reached out with the Force to find out what was going on and to give him some semblance of sight.

He felt a presence, two that he was unfamiliar with. He could feel the familiar auras of the nine others that had been frozen with him as they too awoke from their slumber. But his focus was on the two that were unknown to him. "Who is there?" his voice sounded strained to his ears.

Mala stood as the Force coalesced a scene in front of him, hues of light and shadow until he saw shapes. He was cold but drew on his power to warm himself enough so that he did not shiver while standing. A Selkath stood across the chamber they were in and although he could not discern features about the alien, he could recognize the shape of what appeared to be Jedi robes. Could be Sith, he thought and then probed the alien, ready to defend himself should the fish-man turn out to be such.

But what he felt was the Lightside. A Jedi then. He relaxed a little, though still wary, and then extended his senses to his companions as they awoke. "Who are you? Where is Master Karana?"

    Then....
Noro closed his eyes, mentally preparing for the journey about to start. He had not been given any reasoning as to why he was selected for this mission. And he hadn't asked for one. While there was fear and a decent level of uncertainty associated with this mission, deep down, he was looking forward to it. He had alientated himself from others as a Padawan. He had abused his Alter skills one too many times and not many people still trusted him. He needed a fresh start. And was excited to leave this dissapointing Jedi Order behind. Hopefully the galaxy at the end of this journey would be a different place. A place where he was praised for his skills, not reprimanded.

As the tibanna gas swirled around him he smiled, ready for a new beginning. The darkness consumed him and he knew no more.

    Now....
Head spinning, Noro attempted to blink away the blindness, but his attempts were in vain. He felt himself collide with the cold floor. He could feel the presence of others around him. The first person he detected was the human next to him, Mala, if he remembered right. Not that he knew this Jedi very well. He felt the confusion coming off the human and heard him groan.

"Who is there?" he heard Mala ask aloud.

Noro laughed to himself at the confusion the human had. He began to quickly use his Alteration skills ot purge his body of the Hibernation Sickness. Luckily, Bothans were made of stronger stuff than humans. He would recover much quicker.

"Who are you? Where is Master Karana?" the human continued to yell.

Noro chuckled to himself. Instead of wasting his energy with pointless questions he rapidly began the process he had learned of flushing the Tibanna Gas from his body; which would speed up his recovery. After making sure there was no immediate danger he let the Force flow through him like a river. After several moments he was able to move into a seated position and his vision, though very blurry, was coming back to him. He turned his head to see a Jedi Master standing in the room; the obvious answer as to who had thawed them out.

"You," Noro said. "State your business here."

Suddenly a bright point of red light pierces the darkness, its glow dimly and quietly iluminating its origin, a droid.

    Quiet...
    ..................Quiet....
    .......................................Quiet

The point of light begins to track back and forth along the droids face, a low hum emanates with each cycle. The automoton disengages from its charging slot and with a whirring of servo-motors takes a step forward.

\\C: Diagnostic complete. CN-3 Sentry operating within design parameters...

CN-3, Sentry, it had now confirmed its designation. Though it still knew little of why it had been designed and activated. There were no carbon based lifeforms in the area to guide it. Its programming suggested that there was an 87% chance that this would be the case. It continued on, following its backup programming

    \\Run Class-5 diagnostic
    *....***.....

As the mechanical diagnostic ran, Sentry analyzed the data from the software diagnostic. There were memory gaps, corrupted sectors of its memory files that Sentry would no longer be able to access. It searched for a backup memory unit, but found none. Either it had not been designed with one, it had failed or it was located elsewhere in the complex. It was also startled (if droids could feel such a thing) to find that a rather large number of its directives were classified, even to itself. These would only become apparent when Sentry was faced with a situation relevant to them. The directives he could access, the ones not lost to time or programming, were filled with words like protect, serve, order and chain of command. The word Jedi featured prominantly in them as well.

Sentry supposed that if it were a carbon based lifeform it would be bothered by its missing memory segments. But it had its base programming to fall back on, and it wasn't perturbed by what it didn't know. This programming told Sentry that when the Carbon based life forms in stasis begain their thawing process its systems had also been activated. In the absence of other orders from established chain of command it was to head to Carbon freezing Annex Besh, assess the situation and assist as necessary. It was then to repeat the process for Annex Aurek.

    \\Hardware operating within normal parameters.
    \\Continue Program

Sentry stepped forward into CF Annex B, the blasters folded along its upper forearms clacked forward, the humming of its optical scanner increased in intenstity as the scanner itself began to rapidly swing from side to side. There was an unidentified carbon unit in the Annex. No one from Annex A could have made it to the three frozen there. This was an intruder.

    \\PROTECT.

The directive took over as Sentry moved forward, raising its blaster equipped arms towards the intruder. Now a single word was emitted from its vocabulator.

    "Identify."

    Tython Carbonite Freezing Chamber

    Then...

"I'm very proud of you, my boy." The elder Jedi said, placing a comforting hand on his Padawan's shoulder.

    Solus snorted to himself.

"I think you might have a few midi-chlorians loose, Master. I've failed at the very basic task of being a Jedi." he muttered. "I'm just not built for peace, so they're jettisoning me to the future via carbonite. What kind of Jedi can say that he's not built for peace?"

A gentle slap to the back of the younger man's head made him smirk. It was a ritual, between him and his master. Solus would say something down about himself, and the older man would smack him in the back of his head. It was never violent, or even intended to harm. Just a gentle reminder to stop living in the negative so much.

"You're not just a Jedi, Solus. You're a Mandalorian. And I don't care what time you're born into, Mando'ade sometimes simply are not meant for peace. That's not a bad thing." said the older man, who wasn't actually a Mandalorian himself.

The older Jedi had taken the young man under his wing, and had helped him learn about who he was, his history, his people, even going so far as to learn Mando'a so that they could converse in Solus' historically native tongue. Solus had a soft spot for the older man, even if he didn't particularly believe that he wasn't a failure. He had tried so very very hard to make his Master proud, but in the end, the Council had decided that his skills weren't of use during the current political climate of peace.

"Okay, okay. I'll try to be more mandokarla when I wake up in the distant future." Solus said, smiling anyway.

"Shut up." he said, chuckling as he pushed his Padawan towards the carbonite freezing chamber. "Remember. Mishuk gotal'u meshuroke, pako kyore."

"I know, I know. Pressure makes gems, ease makes decay. What? I'm a pretty pretty gemstone now? I always knew you chose me for my looks." Solus said, backing away from his master for the last time, all smiles, refusing to break down, no matter how much he wanted to.

"I'm proud of you, ad'ika." the older man said, rolling his eyes.

"Yeah, yeah. You said that already, Master." Solus said, stepping into place in the freezing chamber.

Hisses of tibanna gas swirled around his feet as his master shrugged.

    "It bears repeating. "

Solus shrugged, and placed his hands comfortably on his belt, his right hand resting on his lightsaber hilt, where it fell naturally, and his left on the small vibroblade knife between pouches.

"So. I guess I'll see you in a few hundred years, huh?" Solus asked, chuckling nervously.

    "I'm always with you, ad'ika."

"I know, Master. I've...I've always thought of you as my buir, even if I never said so."

The older man smiled, the skin around his eyes crinkling merrily.

"I know, Solus. I know. Aliit ori'shya tal'din." he said. "You're my family too."

Solus took a deep breath, and nodded. The tibanna gas roared as the freezing process began, and Solus gripped his lightsaber a little tighter, clinging to that small bit of comfort as he was washed out of consciousness.

    Now...

The floor quite rudely leaped up and hit Solus in the face, and he was disoriented for a long moment, before he realized that he was lying on the floor. He wasn't standing in the carbonite freezing chamber, and he could only see darkness. Of course, that was probably because his eyes were closed. He opened them, and though his vision was blurred, he could tell he was not alone. His lightsaber was in his hand in an instant, and as it sprang to life, he found that the bar of fiery green energy was like staring into a sun. It forced him to shield his eyes, and he immediately reached out to the Force, which he found to be different than he was used to.

Normally, he reached out, found it, and locked in on it, letting it's subtle movements and flows direct him. Now, he reached out, and found it, but it was darker, colder, more..slimy feeling, than he was used to. He was reluctant to lock into the rhythm and flow of things around him, but he did, and found that the low growl of his lightsaber was echoing off of two bodies in the space. He could almost hear a metallic ring from one of them, and assumed it was a droid. The other appeared to be humanoid, and as the Force whispered to him, he found her (for it was a her) to be infused with the Force. She stood out among the darkness in the Force as a flare of light. It didn't discount her as a threat, but it did lower her as a priority. He couldn't feel intent or malice from a droid, because they didn't exist in the programming that brought a droid to life.

His lightsaber danced between the two of them for a long moment, as he considered what he knew (which wasn't much), before he doubled over against the wall, and threw up. As his stomach emptied it's contents onto the floor, he began to feel better immediately. His vision cleared just a little bit, though he wished it hadn't. He found a young woman in...Jedi-ish clothing. It wasn't what he was used to, but it was similar. The droid's optical receptor...receptors...whatever, was scanning back and forth across it's metallic face, an aggressive red blare against the darkness.

"Um...hello. What's going on?" he asked, straightening back up, and lowering, but not extinguishing, his lightsaber

IC: Briiana Shapur - Jedi Temple - Tython

Briiana lay in carbon stasis, somehow alive, yet not conscious. There was only darkness, as there had been for ages. Suddenly, though, the dark began to break, and a reddish-orange light caused her closed eyes to ache. They stayed shut, though, as she was sure this was just another illusion of the subconscious mind.

An instant later, she slumped forward, landing hard on the unforgiving floor. For a moment, she lay motionless, That hurt, then realized she could hear servomotors with painful clarity. Is this real? Am I really awake? Slowly, she cracked her eyes open. An orange light hung in the air, causing them to sting, I thought hibernation sickness caused a loss of eyesight, not an overwhelming sensitivity, she mentally grumbled. Wait, hibernation sickness? She was awake, then! She tried to move, and her leg scraped against a sharp object, causing her to wince. Cursing in Huttese, she stilled for a moment, then pulled herself up into a seated position.

Looking around again, eyes closing to mere slits as they passed over the light yet again, she saw the red eyes of a droid. CN-3... I remember those things. She closed her arms around her legs, pulling them to her chest, trying to decide whether the droid posed a threat or not as it rolled toward the orange.... Blade. That's a lightsaber, Briiana realized with a start. Climbing to her feet, stumbling clumsily for a second as pain shot through her legs, she looked through the blade with narrowed eyes, trying to discern a face. After a moment, she could see a young girl's face, Quite cute, she thought to herself absently, and read no threat in the stance, face, or mental intentions of this newcomer. Must be the reason I'm not in carbonite anymore.

Her attention was abruptly redirected as the droid stopped fairly close, and demanded, "Identify." Its blaster arm was raised, pointing toward the girl, and Briiana moved a bit closer to her, "Stand down, Sentry. She's a friendly." She wasn't sure why she used that name for the droid. Probably simply because that was what she assumed he was - a sentry. As for answering for the girl... well, she supposed her ability to know someone at first glance hadn't diminished over the years. Speaking of years.... Briiana turned back to the girl. "What year..."

Before she could finish her question, her over-sensitive ears picked up someone else's less-than-comfortable return to consciousness. Looking over at the young man, she was forced to squint again as he ignited his lightsaber, before asking what was happening. Realizing that between two lightsabers and a droid who seemed a bit trigger-happy this situation could easily get out of hand, Briiana turned to the newly-awakened Jedi. "Relax..." she studied his face, "whoever you are. I'm Briiana Shapur, and this is our friend. She got us out of the carbonite," she looked back to the girl for confirmation, "I believe. I think the droid is just for our protection, since it only seems worried about her. As for what's happening.... I don't even know. We're just awake, apparently."

The first sensation the young jedi felt upon waking was the intense but waning chill that seemed to enshroud him. The second was his body slumping onto the hard floor, his slowed reflexes only keeping his face from impact with the aide of the force. Everything was dark, all sounds muffled, and attempting to open his eyes only served to reveal that they already had been open. Was he blind? Strangely the thought of this caused no fear for him, he could sense, and in a way see, his surroundings to a degree with the force, though the latter only short distances. He distantly remembered someone once remarked that he should have been born a miraluka. As his mind slowly began to join the rest of his body and wake, a concerning thought made itself known. Where was he?

He reached for his senses to discover his surroundings only to find them tightly bound to a small distance around him, as he sometimes left them. He slowly, as slowly as his level of control allowed, began expanding his senses. There were others here, he realized as he began to clumsily pick himself off the floor and onto his shaking feet, the chill's lingering effects making his movements feel weighted in a way that reminded him of drunk people he had seen. Somewhat warily, he focused on what he felt from the others and immediately relaxed. None here seemed to have any ill intent towards him, and some of the signatures seemed comfortingly familiar. His mind still hazy as he found his balance, the question of where he was became solved. It seemed a large, perhaps even immense building, old and crumbling, but radiated the comfortably familiar feeling of a place strong in the light. It felt familiar. Home. The word whispered through his mind like a gentle breeze. He was Tython, the planet he viewed for all intents and purposes as home, a fact only confirmed by his senses, all of them, or at least the ones that were working, but a moment later.

But why the decay? Why the old crumbling and falling apart ruins instead of the great temples and sanctuaries filled with jedi, both young and old? What was it that had happened? He felt the control on his sense waver alongside his mind but he payed it no attention for the moment as he struggled to remember why he was waking up from some kind of strange sleep in his home that had become mere ruins. The frightening truth reached him not long after. He couldn't remember. A fog seemed to blanket those memories. The last thing he remember was being summoned alongside his master to some kind of meeting and then...

    Then nothing.

His mouth opened and the words were out before he had even put a thought to it. "What happened?"

As the words seemed to echo to the young boy his carefully controlled grip on his senses finally faltered, and they began to rush forth.

"Mind your manners, Padawan," said Ruura, fussing with the folds of the massive Cragmoloid's black robes.

"Aye, milady," repled Pakoon duitfully. He had always referred to the Princess as "milady" rather than "Master," by her request.

The older Jedi, a Sauvax, clicked her claws together, a sure sign she was being pensive. "And remember to listen to your new Master."

    "Aye, milday."

    "And don't talk back."

    "I shan't."

"And remember, you're bigger than they are, and likely they won't be used to training someone with a pike." With her own large pincers unable to grip a lightsaber, Ruura herself was a master of the lightsaber pike, and had been a natural choice to train the elephantine Padawan. "But I've had words with the Jedi Masters who are being placed into statis with you. They know who you are and what you're capable of."

    "Thank you, milday."

She gripped his arms tightly in her pincers. "Promise me that no matter what happens, you'll remember who you are. Who we were, and what we stand for."

Pakoon felt there was a weight to her words, something being inferred, but knew also that his Master would not elaborate. She said what she said, and no more.

    "I promise, milady."

"Off you go, then. May the force be with you."

"And you as well," said Pakoon with a respectful bow. He knew he'd never see her again, but fought back the urge to be morose. The force weaved as it would. He had been selected; not just he, but all those being placed in stasis. For what reason, he didn't know. But he did know it was important to the Jedi Order, and that's where his duty lay.

    NOW:

Pakoon felt himself rousing, heard voices all around. He opened his eyes and saw nothing. Darkness everywhere. He froze in place.

"Can anyone see me?" he called aloud. He feard to move, lest he crush some smaller being in the confusion, but he could feel panic rising within him.

Hibernation sickness? he wondered. The medics had warned about such things, but the chances, they said, were remote. Darkness? Or have I truly gone blind?

"Where am I? Where is the light? I think...I may have a problem."

The first thing that occurred to Sayrea was the stiffness, before she hit the hard ground with a thud and a moan. She grabbed her head as a headache pounded behind her eyes. She blinked, becoming alarmed in the darkness. It then came back to her, the freezing, they had needed volunteers and being newly knighted and the war now over she felt that she would be more of use in the future, besides she it could be a grand adventure… or a forever slumber. Judging by the way her body slowly, almost painfully started to feel normal once again her adventure was about to began.

The pounding started to lessen and she started reaching out with the force, three life forms stood out. She used her alter ability and aged herself hoping that whoever was in her pitied an old lady. She sat up, concentrating on restoring her eye sight, but with a sudden heave Sayrea lurched forward and emptied her stomach. She cursed and wiped her mouth her appearance returning to normal as a result, “Didn’t see that coming.” She moaned.

    She then heard voices

    "Identify."

"Stand down, Sentry. She's a friendly. What year..." That voice, it couldn’t be.

"Relax...whoever you are. I'm Briiana Shapur, and this is our friend. She got us out of the carbonite," It was that woman; she was at the temple when the council handed down their judgment, and was one of her victims of her displeasure. She forced herself to stand, her legs giving a tremble in protest.

Um...hello. What's going on?" She looked over, to a man, his lightsaber ignited. She had forgotten his name, Nova? Sova? Ah, yes Tova , Solus Tova. She didn’t know him personally but had seen him around the temple.

“ I believe. I think the droid is just for our protection, since it only seems worried about her. As for what's happening.... I don't even know. We're just awake, apparently.”

“Not all of us are supposed to be awake are we Shapur!”Her vision was still blurry but she still reached for her lightsaber holding it at the ready but unlit. Her body automatically going in to the ready stance of her form IV; it was if she had run the drills yesterday rather than centuries ago. “Hand over you’re lightsaber now. I may not have the power to refreeze you but be assured there will be no tricks from you this time.” Sayrea commanded.

"Not all of us are supposed to be awake, are we, Shapur!" Briiana's head snapped up and around toward the voice, frustration boiling through her. Someone remembered her, clearly... and, as she made out the young woman's form, she recognized them, as well.

"Well, 'Rea, I don't recall the Council mentioning anything about me staying in stasis forever."

The young woman grasped her lightsaber, bringing it, still unlit, into the all-to-familiar opening stance of Ataru, then demanded, "Hand over your lightsaber now. I may not have the power to refreeze you but be assured there will be no tricks from you this time."

Briiana laughed, as anger crackled in her blue eyes. "Did they put you on the Council after I was frozen, girl? Last time I checked, you had no right to order me around." Stepping up close to Sayrea, she looked down at the Jedi. "And which lightsaber was it you wanted, again? This one?" She pulled the right 'saber off her belt, and held it loosely in the low guard typical of a Makashi user, "Or this one?" She grasped the left 'saber, holding it at the exact same angle as the other, then took a single step back, daring the woman to ignite her blade. Somewhere in the back of her mind, she thought, Well, this is hardly an auspicious start.

Solus watched as the drama between the other two newly thawed Jedi unfolded. He didn't remember a whole lot about them. The first one who'd spoken, he had a vague memory of her in his head, though he'd never met her. Something about her voice...it echoed in his thoughts, defiant, maybe a little angry. What stuck out most, was that he'd heard her words in Mando'a. He didn't know who she was, or what made her so vivid in his memories, but he knew that she spoke Mando'a, and she wasn't the type to give in easily to someone else's demands.

That was good enough for him. Until some more information came along to explain the situation, he had to go with what he knew.

He moved to put himself between her and the new Jedi, standing back to back. The other defrosted Jedi, the shapeshifter who he'd seen around the Temple, but who's name he couldn't remember, who seemed so intent on making sure that the Mando'a speaking young woman not be allowed to go free...she bristled in the Force like a strill that had been poked out of its nest. She was ready for a fight. He supposed he shouldn't be surprised, seeing as he was too. Carbonite stasis apparently didn't agree with his mood.

He leaned his head back, without taking his eyes off of the new Jedi, and spoke over his shoulder.

"Copaani gaan, vod'ika?" he asked. "Need a hand?"

    Mala Palerma

    Tython

"Your eyes deceive you, Padawan," came Mala's calming voice after he side stepped the giant cragmaloid in order to avoid being trampled on by the young Jedi learner. "Don't trust them." Hopefully the reminder of one of the age old lessons all initiates learn would help the alien clear his vision of the hibernation sickness, or at least give him some semblance of sight. He would have done the same himself if he could, but he hadn't been one to pay much attention to the alteration and restoration arts of the Force.

"As for what happened, we have been thawed," his attention returned to the Selkath. "But the question that remains unanswered is by whom and why?" Mala knew they had been frozen for a purpose, something to do with preserving the Order and dealing with future Sith. It was why he had been chosen for the project. His knowledge of the Archives and his devotion to that branch of the Order made him ideal for helping the future Jedi. It did not register in his mind that he had been chosen for another reason, one concerning his dead apprentice and the reclusive behavior he began displaying.

"Who are you and why have you awakened us, Selkath?" he asked again, his tone leaving no room for games from the alien. He hoped they had been awakened by mistake, having been forgotten by the Jedi and just found and freed after who knows how long. He hoped it was not because the Sith had indeed returned like Master Karana had feared would happen.
