Space Above Ylesia

The Slave IV blasted out of Ylesia's atmosphere toward empty space. There was only one obstruction. The Corellian Corvette Demolisher, armed with 6 Taim & Bak H9 Dual Laser Cannons (3 Forward, 1 Left, 1 Right, 1 Aft) and a proton torpedo launcher under the bridge. And it was headed straight for Fett and his ship.

Fett rolled his ship on its side and let loose with a flurry of blaster fire. Ineffectual against the larger ship's shields, Fett dodged the return fire easily. Opening his own proton torpedo tubes, he locked on to the Demolisher and let fly three torpedoes.

The corvette's laser cannons let loose on the torps, trying to destroy them before they hit. The cannons failed. The first two torps collided with the corvetes shields and brought them down. The third torp slammed into the left side laser cannon and tore it off the ship. It did not detonate, however. It continued into the ship and went off in the engine bay.

The resulting explosion bordered on cataclysmic. The heat from the engines being destroyed melted the rest of the ship up to the bridge, which went spinning off into the void, bodies trailing out of it. Then the remaining crew activated the maneuvering thrusters to stablize the spin and brought themselves to bear on the Slave IV. They launched their full complement of six torpedoes before the rest of their air vented. Thus the Demolisher was dead.

The six torpedoes remained. They came rushing at the Slave IV, with no intent on slowing down. Fett turned tail and began to run. The torps houded him doggedly, no matter what he tried. Launching a proton bomb only ended up wasting him credits and time. That's when all the torps exploded, seemingly hitting a wall. Fett looked over at Devist, who had a smug look on his face.

"I got them for you."

Fett just looked at him and pulled the hyperspace lever.
