Luke felt stabbed in the heart by a Tusken Raider.

He cried out "Nooooooo"

 

and let his hurt feelings show,

and claimed that Vader lied,

 

With a plunge into darkness, it seemed he had died.

But Leia had heard him from far away...

 

and chewie was there to save the day,

Lando thought the hyperdrive was fixed,

 

And they'd get away in just a few clicks,


But Lando was mistaken or just plain lying,

 

...and chased they were, many TIEs came flying.

Vader called to his son on the Falcon,

 

But Luke, somewhat skeptical, though he meant a'scalpin'

Though he made contact he soon was gone...

Like that other vanisher, the late Qui-Gon!

Going back now to an earlier time...

 

When Luke's was not the only whine,

"He's holding me back", the padawan moaned.

(all right, my first, last and only PT rhyme.)

 

His angst ridden force-skills he felt already honed!

Had, however, the Council seen Skywalker's fate...

They might have intervened, but it was too late,


The entire galaxy would soon learn to fear,

 

The hatred he felt, whenever he was near

Reaching out through an invisible hand...

He thought he felt the Cantina Band!

Closing his eyes ......

 

Whenever he flies ...

No wait - that was his son, oops,

 

Luke thought he was a going loops,
when he could feel Vader near,

 

Or hear Obi-Wan whisper in his ear,


But he was not totally loco,

 

That honour defined by the Force choke-o,
Which happened to be held by Dad,

 

In the 70s it was just a fad
But now he killed him with his light saber

 

Like a really freaky angry raver,


slashing and jabbing and jumping about,

 

While "Nooooooo" he did shout.

He knocked his dad over and cleaved off his arm,

 

And what he saw next caused some alarm,


From the stump poured not blood but sparks,

 

..then came Palpatine's snide remarks.

We all love to recall this fable,

 

Sitting bored at the school table,

Imagining frying whiney little Luke,

 

Or imagining Luke dueling grey old Dook,

a lot more fun than intermediate calculus,

 

(Make it hard why don't you. )

Maths work can be such a fuss.
