Welcome to the RPF Community Council Thread! As part of the forum reform effort, we now have (thanks to Protege-of-Thrawn's wonderful suggestion) an RPF Council to assist in all and sundry forum business. The council consists of 18 members serving a six-month term. For breadth and depth in user representation, the Council is made up of: 8 members with user registration dates of 2003 or earlier 6 members with user registration dates during 2004 4 member with user registration dates during 2005 At the end of 2006, we will reevaluate these categories to make room for the 06ers. However, it should be noted that these categories are merely for selection purposes. Every council member is considered equal in this thread. Please feel free to post your thoughts on the current discussion (but remember to keep things business-oriented. We have a social thread for all the funny stuff). This post will be edited to reflect future developments as the Council gets off the ground. Expect some lists of committees and other useful, relevant information to appear within the coming weeks. For reference purposes, the code of conduct that these members agreed to when accepting the invitation is as follows: By accepting a place on the Council, you are agreeing to participate in discussions and other assigned duties as appropriate. I ask that you be willing to truly devote yourself to this endeavor (this means spending approx. 1-2 hours/week checking the council thread and contributing opinions). The term will last for a period of six months, during which you should maintain a significant level of commitment in the forum. This may mean playing one game or many, as long as you are a visible, well-respected member of the community. Should you be unable to serve out the term, please give adequate notice so that we can appoint a successor. Please note that you will forfeit your spot on the Council if you are ever absent for a period of two (2) weeks without prior public notice. And with that, I am please to announce that this first incarnation of the RPF Community Council is now open!
