The Sanctuary Strikes Back

Since there is a lovely 5k thread cap, the Sanctuary shall now reside in a lovely, new thread. The old thread has been archived, Riley will post the link.

So what is the sanctuary? The Sanctuary was formed in 1999 during a "time of unrest" at the JC. I thought we needed a little place to get away, a "sanctuary" from all that J.C. stuff that drives you batty.

Some of the Sanctuarians:
Saerah Me, otherwise known as the Empress. There was a time when we used to dabble in a little fanfic writing. Saerah has a grand palace on coruscant..who needs Palpatine? I started this whole thing on a Friday night almost three years ago..and we're still posting away.

BoB One of the few original sanctuarians, and resident bad speller. Known for his love for dune buggies.

Bender One of the few originals..resident comedian. Famous for his one-liners and strange stories.

Riley-Man Joined the Sanctuary after some of the originals left the J.C. He's the resident computer genius. One of the "new originals."

Maeve Antilles A "new original" who always has a sweet, innocent smile. She holds the power when the Empress is away.

Melarn Tecc Stops in from time to time now, and is one of the privileged handmaidens.

Kessel Runner Our frequent Sanctuarian--he keeps the thread alive when the rest of us stray away.

There are many Sanctuarians not mentioned here....especially the other two originals, Tabhwd and SlaveII, who no longer post at the J.C. We also cannot forget the famous one-liners by shine. I'll edit this as time passes...

Alrighty I'll be hanging around here a little while longer...but I had a long day today, We went to Orlando for most of the day and got back here around 5 PM. THen my sister and I went out and we just got home around 11:30. needless to say, I am beat!

 

Got any interesting Floridian stories to tell us? Any alligators come up from the sewers? You'll have to fill us in tomorrow morning.

hmm I always wondered what the Sanctuary was all about, but never had a week to read up on it.

Golf carts? Oh, the horror! I haven't had to witness such a thing yet. And I thought dune buggies were bad.

 

don't worry about it tenorjedi, I constantly feel the same excact way

dune buggies rule, they're like golf carts.. but high on speed

 

I never "got" the sanctuary, myself, and I've been here for quite a while. I think this is my first "sanctuary post" among my several thousand.....

Maybe I'll give it a go this time.

Well, my good empress, our grand old dame of a thread has been locked up and given a nifty new title. It surely will be missed. But we have an opportunity to create a new beast right here!
