I've never really cared. I doubt I need lessons, just the desire to learn, which I've never really possessed.

I'd put it on my bucket list if I had one. I'd like to learn to ice skate and do some couples skating to "Across the Stars", preferably in some kind of all white, entirely too tight bodysuit. With frills. At the very least I'd like to learn how to do that thing where they spin in place really fast, especially when they do it with one leg extended over their head.

This. I want to learn how to do this.


I know ice skating isn't what we're talking about, but I'd like to skip the pedestrian rollerskating and go straight to skating on a blade's edge.

I have some amazing pics at the roller rink from the early 80s. I'll need to acquire scans next time I'm at my mom's.

 

Actually we have Guptills skating arena. It still packs them in on the weekends. Its been there for decades.

rabbit's foot? Always, always go for the rubber/jelly/plastic/whatever that material was stretchy hand that you could throw against the wall and leave a stain, or throw it into your sibling's hair and then act like you didn't mean to get it stuck.

The 25 cent crap factor is the same as a rabbit's foot, but the lifetime of memories are worth the 20 bucks.
