THE SAUSAGE GAME - RMFF vs FF-UK

Right, more pieces of sausage have found their weigh into my PM box (see what I did there?)

Let's start with Grimby vs Louis, currently balanced at 2-0 to the RMFFers.

Grimby sent his piece in first, weighing in at a pawltry 1g

So we know Louis is going to win this one. Did he anticipate Grimby's tactic and go for a low amount?



No. He cut off a massive 35g. So the point goes to Louis, but at what cost?

Also, we have the 2nd cuts of Archaic and Orn, Archaic currently winning 1-0

Orn sent me his first weighing in at 27g

Archaic followed Grimby's tactics and sent in just 2g, so this point goes to Orn

Although it's likely that Grimby's will win the game, the game needs to be played to the end as a 3-2 victory will earn him 1 point, and a 4-1 victory will earn him 2 points.

So you both need to send your final cut

It's back to Archaic vs Orn

Archaic has removed a whopping 32g of his sausage
And that's compared to Orn's 15g

So another point to Archaic leaving the scores as

And another game reaches its climax

Grimby vs Louis had Grimby in an unassailable lead, and with a very good chance of being the first player to win 4-1 and gain that elusive 2 points.

Just to recap, Grimby had a 2-1 lead and had 38g left, compared with Louis' 20g

I'm sure Grimby won't mind if I quote his exact words here

"I'll go with 20g. Let's see if he was clever enough to pick 1g."

With a bid of 20g, Grimby has won the 4th cut, and the game - regardless of Louis' cut. So it comes down to Louis' 4th cut.

1g will give Louis a 19-18 victory in the final game, and would cause Grimby to lose a point he really should win. Anything else, and it's a 4-1 whitewash.

So the final score in this game is Grimby 3-2 Louis, with just 1 point going to Grimby

FINALLY, we can move on with the Fenig/Spike game

Fenig (if my PMs go back that far) sent in a slice of sausage weighing in at 6g

Spike's larger sausage comes in at 15g, so an equalising slice there

And the 3rd game is over. Who will be victorious out of Archaic and Orn?

Well, let's see what they cut off for their 4th and final cut

Mr Rebel removed a considerable 32g

But Mr Tada only managed to release a meagre 10g of his sausage. Perhaps he's tired.

And that means an insurmountable 3-1 lead to Archaic

But he only had 15g remaining, and Orn had 30g, so a bit of pride there for the Brit

That was good play, Louis, and it proves you are now a learned student of the game. You cut off the only amount possible to obtain the difference between a respectable defeate, and an humiliating whitewash. You did good, and your next opponent should be fearful.
