    THE FINALS

    Match 1: The Vicious Vets (2) : HandofSkywalker vs. Burd's Enforcers (2) : BurdMan

I voted for Freedon Nadd last time in the Tatooine conference, so I'm sticking with that choice. Freedon Nadd takes the victory.

So, if Corran could pull it out here then Thon could either land on Maul or Sids. If he lands on Maul, burd will probably pull it out. If he lands on Sids...congratulations Hand.

EDIT: Err...****, didn't see that Sids hit the forfeit. What bad luck. Looks like it's prolly goin' to a third match, then. :p

I voted for Nadd last time. This can be found on page 120, or 60 (50 ppp).

Well, that means Thon'll beat Maul and it's 3-3...going to teams Hand will take it again...

    So, Hand, congratulations! :)

So, it looks as if this is going back to teams, where Hand wins.

This will be Hand's first victory, yes?

Yep. First title for the Handster-- ironic that it comes when he renames his team from Newbies to Vets. :p

    CONGRATS HAND! :D

Hand has always had my full, 100% support. As such, I demand half of the credit for this win. I think he will agree, so you all may begin to call me "Co-Champion Sith".

Past couple of finals have looked like this:

    Sids team over Mace team
    Sids team over Luke team
    Luke team over Luke team
    Sids team over Luke team

    I believe that the pick #, respectively, was #3-#5, #3-#1, #2-#1, #3-#1 (was Hand #3?) 3rd placers have been (IIRC) Luke #2/Dooku #7 (I think), Yoda #2/Revan #4, Kun #7/Revan #5, and Kenobi #7/Luke #1. This all seems to show that:

    1. Luke and Sids are crazy good.
    2. Top picks, because they give you Luke and Sids, are helpful.
    3. Seeing as there's a lot of #7's on that last, my memory stinks or that shows something.
    4. No rookie has cracked the finals, 3 have made it to a semi (me, Mekot, Ken).

So, think about that next draft.

    You know what I'm thinking?

I'm going to win, and use all of your corpses as a walkway to get there. That's what I'm thinking is going to happen next draft

Windu, you only wish. I got the freakin' next to last pick and I kicked everyone's ass in the Tatooine Conference. Even if I get stuck with the 7th or 8th pick, you better pray you're in Alderaan next Draft... [face_devil]

Oh, and beautiful breakdown, Firke. :D

I think next draft I'm going to be the first n00b to not only make it to the finals, but also win the finals.

    Or maybe not.

Well, the last 2 people to have been non-GM participants before GMing have each built damned good teams and lost close matches in the semifinals (Ken and yours truly), and it looks like that's going on in the SFD at the moment with Jello.

    Me and Firke >>>>> Jello

    So...there's that. :p

EDIT: Oh, and that may be a sign-- be a judge next installment, NYJ, and then GM. :p

Hand is the first to accomplish something.

Hand is the first person to win the draft that didn't have a top three pick (4th pick) since Madine in the first draft.

True, but Jello judged for two rounds. He had quite a bit of expierence with the draft.

edit: And he got lucky that Aragorn went insane and traded away Vader for Stele and Stele for Obi wan. [face_plain]
