Horax: You didn't KenKenobi would resist the Jedi Draft for long, did you? :p

Of course, this is all going be new for me-- first time GMing instead of judging. [face_mischief]

Hopefully the judges will agree with me on my judging opinion of NJO-era Jedi > PT Jedi, and the fact that Vergere kicks boootay! :D

Oh yeah KFC does rock. The King of the Force Community should be taken at the start of the first round shortly after Oppo Rancis, Odan-Urr, Coleman Trebor and, Jocasta Nu. Really

EDIT: Left some prime pickings out

Oh, right, KenKenobi - yeah, I remember you.

Good luck with being a GM, and let see if your phiosophy pays off...

EU>PT? well, we can debate that until the cows come home, and we all most likely will, but when will the PT Jedi get the respect back that they deserve?

The OT Trilogy box set, I was watching the doc and featurettes this weekend, and man, Lucas gives them such high marks, calling them fully trained Jedi, something we can all agree on, that EU JEdi are not. They have experience fighting non-force-sensitive opponants, but are not and will never be fully trained - since all the teachers were never fully trained.

And a fighter who does not use the Force in their fighting experience will certainly lose to the warriors who have a lifetime of experience using, tapping and becoming one with the Force.

    Madine out

    That WAS fast!

Ok, for clarification: the new EPISODE III trailer CANNOT BE USED FOR THIS DRAFT!!!

Remember, we judge jedi at the height of their career, wherever that may be. Video game jedi are allowed, but with some characters, a consensus needs to be reached.

That consensus will take place between the judges...for example...what do we do with Revan? If you have been following the last few drafts, you should know of the problems associated with this character.

I am willing to let him/her/it into the draft, but only on the basis that the judges will view him/her/it the same way.

That being said, Corran and SB, please PM me your thoughts on this person and how he/she/it shoudl be judged.

Since the signup is complete, the next thing to do is to creat the conferences!!!

but are not and will never be fully trained - since all the teachers were never fully trained.

Not trained in the old ways, sure. But who's to say that the old ways were the right ways? The NJO Jedi are fully trained, just not in the same fashion as the PTers.

    I will give you this:

There sure as hell are a lot more viable second and third rounders in the PT era. After Luke, there's something of a drop-off until you get to the fourth round, or maybe the lower part of the third. But, in those lower spots, I think that many of the NJO guys are the best picks around.

EDIT: Sixth pick, eh? Not bad.

ES, look again...Sekotian is the 7TH pick.

Obi-Ben: We are at the point where now we wait until it's your turn to pick, and then you choose whatever Jedi/Sith from the list that you want to be on your team. You will build a team of 6 players that will be placed in a battle against another team.

    Does that make sense?

Someone explain what I do please.

Basically, when your turn comes up, select the Jedi or Sith that you want on your team from that list under the draft order.

    A few words of advice:

Don't just pick your favorite. Pick someone that you think is worthy of being picked that high.

Also, when selecting your team, keep in mind whether or not your different Jedi or Sith will work well together. Team cohesion can be a deciding factor in a team battle.

    Hope that helps a little.

For the first pick in my conference, which I am so glad to have, I have to make a statement first. While I would love to have the little green guy back, of late, the Jedi I am selecting has risen quite a lot in stock. And considering all the drafts that have gone by since I had first pick, I have to go another way, since this fellow has beaten my man Yoda like at least 3 times, no matter who the judge.

So, as the first pick of the 2nd Jedi Draft of 2005, Please welcome to The Brooklyn Jedi, FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER ,

    Jedi Master Luke Skywalker

    Let the slaughter begin!
