Nilsson blew out his voice recording this song, and didn't tell Lennon
for fear that Lennon would insist on stopping the record. So, now we have
this gem.

 

That's in the movie, apparently blood was hitting the microphone. Seems Lennon was egging him on and trying to match Nilsson's vocals
