    Saridona Prime Orbit

It had been a rather calm time since the old Destroyer had reached Saridona. The crew had been relaxing, aside from the maintenance people who were still hard at work keeping the ship running. Otherwise though, the Redemption was fairly quiet as the crew rested. They didn’t know what was going on, but it was fairly safe to assume that the ship would be needed eventually.

But the calm wasn’t going to last forever, as the sensors started to blare out a warning. A ship was coming out of hyperspace almost right on top of them! Anyone looking out the view-ports would have seen an even older Gladiator class SD come out of hyperspace and immediately raise its shields.

“Raise our shields, and send a message immediately! Figure out who they are!” the vice-captain, Arrica Sandstrider called out.

“Right away!” the communications officer replied, “Attention Gladiator state your identity and purpose here.”

The reply came back quickly, claiming that the new ship was here under orders from Master Decinchi. But that was the same reason that the Redemption had been called in. What was going on here?

    “Captain?” the crew asked.

Arrica took a deep breath, “Charge weapons and warn them off. We can’t confirm who they are yet. Send a message to the Temple and the Spirit.”

    Temple of Light

After grabbing her bags, Lenea felt a flash of irritation from the Padawan. Lenea wondered what that was about. All she had done was offer to carry her own things, which was just her being nice. Oh wait…the kid probably thought she didn’t trust him with her stuff.

Walking with the Padawan and trying to figure out a response, Lenea heard him start talking again, "The Temple has been abandoned for many years, so don't be surprised to find the evidence of small animals living in some of the corridors. The master's level seems to be unaffected by that, but the padawan dorms..."

The younger Sandstrider nodded her head. Sounded like the Temple back home before it had been ‘renovated’ for lack of a better word. After dropping off the Sherland family, the pair of partially trained Force Sensitive’s reached what would serve as Lenea’s quarters.

"I am headed up there now, after you are settled you may join me. If you don't know the way, I can send the Grandmaster's droid to assist you." The Padawan said, after explaining that they were supposed to keep an eye on the Temple Command Center. He then started to leave without even giving Lenea a chance to talk.

“Hey wait! I have something to sa…” Lenea started, but the kid was already gone.

Great…another one who thinks he needs to do everything on his own.

Then she felt a flash of something in her head. Looking up, Lenea could tell something was off. So after setting her belongings down, she moved out of the room. Lenea didn’t know the layout of the temple, but she was at least trained well enough to lock onto the kids Force signature and use that to find her way to the TCC.

She arrived just in time to hear him send a message, which she assumed was to a ship in orbit. That wasn’t good news…the Redemption could handle anything up to a Pelleaon class, but still.

“What’s going on in here?” Lenea asked, walking into the room.

    Defender, enroute to Saridona Prime

After squaring away his own vessel, Taab made his way towards the Defender's bridge. He had never served abaord a Gladiator class star destroyer before, but most Star Destroyers shared some similar design elements, so he was never too lost. After a few wrong turns he managed to get his bearings and was well on his way, moving through what seemed to be mostly deserted passageways. Either the ship was running with a skeleton crew, or Taab was just lucky to not run into anyone on his trip.

Upon entering the bridge he noticed the flurry of activity in the ship's bridge pit though the command level seemed relativly calm. He sauntered over to where Bucko, Cyar'ika and Kyramud were standing with someone Taab hadn't met yet. The captain apparently. Bucko handled the introductions. "Sergeant, allow me to introduce to you Captain Seneca Pythos.” Taab looked him over. No beskar'gam, no buy'ce but at least the man had fine tastes in blaster rifles. Though how much utility the long barreled gun would have in the confined spaces of a starship left Taab somewhat perplexed. Maybe the man liked to lead away missions himself. If so, Taab approved. He always liked a leader who enjoyed getting his hands dirty.

The most obvious characteristic of the Captain was his eye patch of course, and predictably Taab had already dubbed the man Patches. Though perhaps calling him Captain Patches would do better. It wouldn't do to insult the man on his own ship after all. It looked as though he had certainly earned his rank. Taab nodded to the Captain, but before he said anything Kyramud notified them that they would be coming out of hyperspace soon.

As soon as they did there was a report from the work pit. “Sir! We have a Nebula-class Star destroyer directly ahead!” Shab, this little Gladiator class ship could never repel firepower of that magnatude. Taab thought about heading back down to the hanger bay. If he could get to his fighter he may be able to assist any fighters the Journeymen launched. But by the time he got down there things would probably already be over.

Capital ship to ship combat was not his forte. He far preferred to meet his enemies eye to T-Visor, or even at the controls of his own fighter. If they could somehow get the ships close enough, Taab could lead a boarding party and try to take the NSD down from the inside. He followed Bucko over to the comm station as he finished up whatever message he was relaying "...ey are threatening hostilities, please respond immediately…” After ordering the comm tech to repeat that message on a loop he muttered.

“I’ve got a bad feeling about this. Then again that could be from that synthameal I just devoured.”

Then a message came through from the Temple. "This is Commander Thrace of the Temple of Light. Identify yourself!" Thrace? Commander? Haar'chak, it was Twitchy. Whose osik'la idea was it to let him back in the TCC, much less command it? The message had been directed at the Defender though, which meant the NSD was already known to the Temple and deemed a friendly. Unless Twitchy had screwed up again. Taab leaned forward and mashed down on the transmit button, contacting the Temple TCC.

"Twitchy you shabla little hut'uun. Tell the other ship to stand down or by the manda I'll have your guts for garters!"

Josch looked at the old holo and shook his head, "Where in the galaxy did you dig that up? Just look at the hair styles!" He realized that she was still looking at him with an inquisitive look in her eyes. "Um, well, quite simply yes I was Zieleb-Xan Macja. I was a mercenary pilot for Guardian Squadron... very long ago.

"Now, as far as your other question... I am more than 250 years old. I have lived through every conflict since the Clone Wars, some I have even fought in," he said with a nod towards the image before them. "But that is ancient history, what I am interested in is how you survived Ossus and came to be with us?"

    "What's going on here?"

Ian nearly jumped out of his skin at the question. He had been so distracted by the klaxons and alarms and flashing lights that he hadn't noticed Ms. Sandstrider entering the TCC. His first instinct was to bluster. He was a Jedi, or would be someday. He could handle things. But then he thought back to the lesson that Vel had beaten into him. Command and respect were to be earned, not simply given. This woman had experiance in these sorts of things. After all she came from one of the ships now readying for battle. He yielded to her.

"Another ship just dropped out of hyperspace. The Redemption is preparing to engage." He swallowed hard. He hoped he had done the right thing in contacting the new arrival and not just leaving it to the Redemption. He started to tell Ms. Sandstrider about it but was interupted as a new message came through.

"Twitchy you shabla little hut'uun. Tell the other ship to stand down or by the manda I'll have your guts for garters!"

This time Ian did jump at the sound of that familiar voice. He looked around the TCC in a panic for a moment thinking that Taab was here in the TCC with him. It was then that he realized the message had come from the new ship. That meant Taab was aboard it. If he did nothing, that ship and Taab could be vaporized. Ian's blood ran cold as he smiled a little bit at the notion. To be rid of the hulking Mandalorian would be a true gift, but not worth the cost of the other innocents aboard that ship.

He looked again at Ms. Sandstrider, Ian could sense her impatience. "I know that voice. Both ships are friendly." Or close enough, he thought to himself. He stepped away from the comm panel. "What do we do? Can you get them to stand down?"

"Another ship just dropped out of hyperspace. The Redemption is preparing to engage." The Padawan answered Lenea’s question.

The young woman nodded her head slightly. That was what she had felt then, the shock of the Redemption’s crew. But the ship could handle it if needed. It seemed like the kid had something else to say, but he was interrupted by a message coming over the comm lines.

"Twitchy you shabla little hut'uun. Tell the other ship to stand down or by the manda I'll have your guts for garters!"

Lenea raised an eyebrow at that. Said elegant brow shot even further up when she saw how it made the Padawan jump. She didn’t know much of the Mandolorian language, but she at least recognized it for what it was.

Hmm…a Mando. And he obviously knows the kid. So who is he?Lenea thought, waiting to see what the Padawan said.

"I know that voice. Both ships are friendly." The kid said, stepping back from the communications panel, "What do we do? Can you get them to stand down?"

Lenea moved forward, just as a message from the Redemption came in, “Temple of Light, come in. Do you read us?”

“This is Lenea, we read you Redemption. Any idea who the other ship is?” Lenea asked back.

“No. It’s an old Gladiator that claims to be here under orders from Master Decinchi,”Arrica’s voice came over the comm.

Lenea tapped a finger against her chin. They couldn’t contact Danny (well, she could, but it wouldn’t help much since Decinchi may not be able to talk), and that meant they couldn’t confirm the orders. She had to take a risk here.

“Don’t fire on them,” Lenea ordered.

“Are you sure about that Lenea? Have you confirmed it with Daniel?

“No I haven’t. But I have one of the Guardians here, and he said that their a friendly. Just let them be for now, and we’ll confirm it as soon as we can. Just don’t let them out of your sight,” Lenea replied, before contacting the other ship, "We won't open fire on you Gladiator. But until we can confirm with Master Decinchi that you are really here under his orders I can't let you get any closer."

Turning back to the kid, Lenea shrugged her shoulders, "That's all I can do for now. We have to wait on Danny and the Masters now."

    Eye Color: Amber/Gold
    Hair/Fur: Brown, Grey, and Golden
    Skin Color: N/A
Clothing: Tan and brown Jedi robes. Brown combat boots. Purple cape.

    Personal History
Immediate Family: All killed with the destruction of Caamas.
    Spouse/Children: None.
Biography: Allynic Sitan is a distant relative of Ralthar Sitan. He was born 42 years BBY on the planet Caamas. At a young age, Allynic was discovered by the Jedi Order and was taken to Ossus for training. As a Jedi, Allynic had a strong passion for fire. He would often manipulate fire with the Force. He had limited training with Yarael Poof in the field of Pyrokinesis and it quickly became his forte. When the Clone Wars erupted, Allynic was a newly christened Jedi Knight at the age of 20. Due to ideological differences with the Jedi Council he departed from the Order. He opposed violent action and thought the Jedi went too far by becoming Officers in the Clone Army. The non-violent Caamasi chose to quietly step away from the Order and return to Caamas where he was reunited with his family. Allynic chose to live a simple life on Caamas and stayed away from the Clone Wars. Once the War ended, Allynic received a signal from the Jedi Temple stating the War was over and to return to the temple. Allynic said farewell to his parents and sibling, then headed to Coruscant. Upon his arrival, he realized he had been lured by a trap set by Darth Vader. Due to a lack of information, Allynic believed the Jedi Order was trying to kill him. He was overwhelmed by Clone Troopers and brought before the Emperor. Palpatine then offered Allynic the chance to turn to the Dark Side and Join the Galactic Empire. When he refused, Palpatine had him taken to the Tilraun Facility. The Tilraun Facility was a secret laboratory where the Emperor experimented on Jedi, mostly weaker Jedi that posed no threat being left alive. In 19 BBY, mere weeks before the destruction of Caamas, he attempted to escape with the help of a fellow Jedi prisoner named Klet Yarl. However the prisoner betrayed Allynic and he decided to join the Empire. As punishment, Allynic was frozen in carbonite. At this point it is unsure what happened to the encased Jedi Sitan, but eventually the Facility was destroyed and the block of carbonite lost.
    Relationship with Khalifa Sunrider:
Khalifa's history has been shrouded in secret from the moment she was born. Even her great grandmother, Alana Sunrider, shouldnt've been born, but Neem-Da-Boda found a way to give birth to a baby girl without her warlord like husband knowing thus continuing the Sunrider legacy. Khalifa doesn't like to delve into her personal life and very few people know the true story. When she was 12 Khalifa got word of a Caamassi who had access to a giant library of information that may hold the key to her family history. She took a small public transport to Tatooine where she rented a small craft to take her the rest of the way to Rhen Var, the last known location of this Caamassi. When she let down on the icy planet she immediately picked up faint infrared readings from a small life form deep in the mountain fortress. She found her way through and found a rectangular shaped slab of Carbonite. She faintly recognized the form of a Caamassi in it and decided to thaw them out. When it was all said and done she found out that this creature was from the distant Clone Wars era but was also the one with the library she was looking for. As a repayment for unfreezing him the Caamassi offered to take her to Bogden, the location of the hidden library. They never arrived at the library. Instead they were attacked by imperial ships and were forced to crash land on Ossus the location of the GoL Academy. They were then swept up into the academy and trained as Jedi to fight in the Shadow Wars.
    Miscellaneous
    Lightsaber:
    Blade Type: Single Blade.
    Blade Color: Yellow.
    Saber Amount: One
Combat Forms: Form II (Makashi) is his primary combat style. It should be noted, Allynic opposed violence, but was well trained if the day ever came that he had to defend himself in battle. This combat form was also known as “The Way of the Ysalamiri.”
Strong Area of the Force: Force Comprehensive, Pyrokinesis, and Healing.
Weak Area of the Force: Any Force powers that contribute to combat.
    Pets: None
Weapons: Ion Pistol and Jedi Lightsaber.
Starship: Actively looking to buy a Corvette-Class Ship.
Faction: Old Republic, Jedi Order, Loyalist Party, and Guardians of Light.

Not only had she been given no chance to speak or acknowledge anyone, now she was being forced to leave her most precious and treasured possession behind in a hangar that was accessible to a sticky handed, curious and somewhat obnoxious child. The thought of the child climbing over her Twin Tail or worse, in the cockpit made her stomach turn over and she could feel the anger rising. Flying was her life so she didn't need to concentrate much in the co pilots seat, so she closed her eyes to calm her anger, it wasn't going to help to be annoyed or angry, and she needed to have her head about her. Giving her head a slight shake she tried to brush the thoughts away, hoping that Josch had some kind of security in his hangar bay.

“How have you been Master Lahana? It has been awhile after all.” She turned as Daniel asked the question, she realized her own emotions would have been crushing down on him, they'd been working together for nearly 10 years and she knew he'd be happy to listen to her rant, but now wasn't the time. She never felt others unless she really really tried, it wasn't a natural thing at all for her, but over the years she was sure he'd heard her thoughts or at least interpreted her emotions. Sighing softly she let the emotions flow out and turned her attention back to the controls thinking to herself. 'Sorry Captain'.

"Now, as far as your other question... I am more than 250 years old. I have lived through every conflict since the Clone Wars, some I have even fought in," he said with a nod towards the image before them. "But that is ancient history, what I am interested in is how you survived Ossus and came to be with us?"

Kasha stood up and walked away from the table. Whatever excitement she felt about meeting someone who could shed light on how her ascendant behaved. The destruction of Ossus was still a fairly sore subject. She shook her head as she turned around.

    Memory

Kasha sat down at the table as Master Ailya Rhalin pointed to the lightsaber pieces sitting in front of her. She frowned looking at Ailya with a frown. “Master?”

”This is a trial, padawan,” Ailya said with a gentle smile. “It is time to construct your first lightsaber. You have already gained your crystal and that was the first step in your journey. Now you must put it together. Mediate Kasha, the Force will guide you into its construction.”

Kasha closed her eyes and stretched out with the Force as she felt the pieces begin to take their place inside the hilt. She levitated the crystal as she used her mind to place it inside the chamber. She opened her eyes as she pushed the chamber into the lightsaber as she handed the hilt to Ailya for inspection.

Ailya pulled the chamber out and nodded in approval as she pushed it back in. She handed the hilt back over to Kasha. “You’re strong in the Force, Kasha. Go ahead, padawan turn it on.”

Kasha nodded as she flicked the switch as an aqua colored blade appeared causing her to smile. “How did I do, master?”

“You have done well,” Ailya answered with a smile. “You’ve come along way in such a short time. You’re quick learner.”

“Thank you, master,” Kasha placed the hilt on her belt as Ailya watched her with concern.

“I sense something is troubling you, padawan,” Ailya questioned her in concern.

Kasha hesitated and shook her head. “I sense a disturbance in the Force,” she explained with a frown. “I’m having visions of destruction.”

”We’ll find some time to meditate and see if the Force will reveal more to you. It is the future you see,” Ailya pointed out with a gentle smile. “Come padawan, I have offered to help with the younglings this afternoon.”

Kasha grinned as she stood up and followed Ailya out of the room. “Any chance will Anakin be there?”

”Yes he is,” Ailya answered. “There is a strong connection between you two.”

“He’s really cute,” Kasha admitted with a shy grin. “I can’t help it when I’m around him.”

    “Be mindful of your feelings.”

    ”Yes Master.”

    Six months later

Kasha led five younglings with her up the shuttle's ramp that Ailya was waiting for her on. She quickly strapped them in as Anakin brought five more on board causing her to smile. “Is that all?”

”No, Master Skywalker is loading up the rest of the younglings,” Anakin answered as he strapped in the others he brought on board. “We have to go before the Sith come back this way.”

Kasha nodded as she walked back down the ramp as she watched Cade rush off the other shuttle. “Where does he think he’s going?”

”Kasha, we should go, he can take care of himself,” Anakin said as he tugged on her arm causing her shoulder to ache. “Kasha?”

Kasha walked away from Anakin as she unhooked her lightsaber from her belt as a youngling ran towards her being chased by a sith lord. “We have to stay and watch over that other shuttle,” she said as she ran full tilt and activated her blade. She intercepted the sith’s blade as Anakin grabbed the youngling and ushered him up the ramp. “Try picking on someone your own size.”

”A padawan, even better,” the sith growled angrily as she pushed his blade to the side and got in some quick swipes causing the sith to back up. “Time to give up little girl.”

”I’m sixteen,” Kasha growled as she pushed him back. “And it’s Padawan Sherland to you, sword boy,” block parry block, slash. She had the Sith back up as another lightsaber entered the fray.

“Get out of here, Padawan,” a voice yelled out causing her to look up. Anna was staring at her with a serious expression.

Kasha gave a short nod as she ran back to the shuttle as Anakin waved to her. She ran up the shuttle and turned around hitting the switch to raise the ramp. Anna turned around as the sith strikes her down as the ramp finished rising up. She heard the engines flare causing her to run towards the cockpit.

    End of memory

Kasha closed her eyes and shook her head then looked up at Josch. “I was running towards a youngling being chased by a sith lord. Anakin grabbed the youngling and took him aboard the shuttle as I engaged the sith lord when a Jedi Knight saved me. She told me to run and not look back. It was the last time I saw her before,” she opened her eyes and bites on her lip as she walked over to the couch and sat down, as she felt cold on the inside. “The Sith struck her down. She sacrificed her life so I could live,” she closed her eyes. “We heard about Kol’s death shortly after. It hit everyone hard.”

“I was knighted three years after the destruction. I married Anakin and we left the Jedi when I discovered I was pregnant with Mekaila. We decided to lay low for a while, and then Brice came along. The call of the Force was too strong to ignore in the last couple of weeks, that’s when I decided to come back. I couldn't ignore the call anymore.”

Walking down the last of the corridors to his destination he felt himself preen a little, a subconscious flicker of smoothing out his robes that he had meticulously removed the last of the blood remnants from the liberation fighting as his final preperations for this mission. Of course, being a sith that made your living by paranoia and awareness of the minds influences and perceptions, it was not truly subconscious as he noted his actions that whatever it was had triggered. He paused at the doorway, letting his mind use a physical barrier as if it was a mental and force barrier as well. A little supposition sometimes aided these simple mental menial tasks so that he could focus down upon himself. Another quirck.

Turning inward he searched and probed as the force flowed and eddied about him as he used it's power to turn his gaze back upon himself. Ah. There it is. he softly thought to himself as he saw the compunction that caused the motion to be a hold out of a young Jedi that wants to appear properly in place before appearing to his master for the first time, and an older Jedi that wanted to be just so when seeing that Master again to show how well he had done to be able to keep up that appearance. And now he was transfering it to this mission, the tension, the duty, and the returned Master of the Sith faction he had come underneath so long ago. Someone the ravages of time had doubtless been harder to then his hibernated form. Yes, for some reason this was making him respond in an almost youthful manner.

As many wheels do turn upon others this brought his moment of retrospection upon the thoughts of the lightside of the force. And whether it was still within him. He listen and heard it, but he automatically noted the difference, he had once listened to the force as it was merely anothers pseudo thoughts that glowed with warmth, now he saw the warmth but instead of the infusing nature he felt like a cold sea urchin sitting within the warm water. Surrounded, but not a part of it, although this water, on a ship full of sith was already cold and spiked with eddies that perfused the very air he breathed.

The sound broke his reveries and introspection, the light may yet be there, but it was simply too buried for him to suss out and question at the moment. With a way of his hand the door opened and he strode with perpose and certainty radiating as he made his way to the transport. "Shall we?" he echoed through the force to each of those that was present for this mission. It was time after all.

Dovey listened intently to Alec as he described how the force could help her to sense her surroundings, as she would have to rely more on it for guidance as she didn’t have the use of her eyes. She focused on her connection to the force, trying to augment her hearing for starters. As Alec stomped his foot to the floor, Dovey started to look down towards it, but stopped herself as she realized that would do no good.

Dovey felt a slight shift behind her eyes and realized that they might be healing all ready, if even a little bit. The light didn’t affect them but she got that slightly odd feeling that happened whenever she was healing from something, which she had had to do on a regular basis.

Dovey realized that, although there would be other people around, they probably wouldn’t be standing in the paths throughout her ship. So standing, she tested her ability to sense where things were for a few moments, getting a sense of how it worked.

Dovey held her arms close to her, not wanting them out too far which might add some difficulty should she lose track of them and bang her hands or elbows into things. With a determined step, she started to make her way towards the cockpit, slowing down as she came upon a life sign standing nearby. In fact, she realized this just before bumping into them. “Who is there?” Dovey’s fingers twitched, but only she knew that she’d been about to reach for a lightsaber. It was so unnerving not being able to see that she had allowed herself to become jumpy. She physically relaxed a little, subconsciously trying her best to exude an air of calm certainty so that anyone looking at her might not see she was nervous and unsure of herself.

Her brow furrowed as she tried to ‘see’ through the force who it was. She knew it couldn’t be Alec or Gaan because she already knew where they were approximately, Gaan was somewhere behind her and Alec had gone outside. It had to be either Hochner or Michael, but she thought Michael was sitting somewhere near where she had been. So it must be Hochner. “Hochner? Is this you?” She gestured toward where she thought he was, again being off by a few inches.

Miria knew it was time to multi-task. It would make it a little harder, but time was short. She thought of Josch in the other room and wondered what he was talking about, but instead of focusing on that, without closing her eyes, she pushed her force sense out to find her sister. She could tell something was wrong and began searching to find out what it was. She spoke quietly to Dovey, mostly in visions and word-pictures as she was used to doing. She showed Dovey her face and then gestured towards a picture of her sister, connecting her actions with a picture of Goreh and the time just after everyone woke up.

She hoped Dovey would understand, as she knew her sister's training hadn't been as in-depth as hers in visions. At the same time she felt the emotions of Adalia. Not sure she understood exactly what was going on, her mind brought up all she knew about the young woman, her take-charge attitude, her love of flying and what seemed to be her own brand of introvert. As she thought through this puzzle she listened to Daniel, watching as Adalia turned to engage in the conversation.

Miria smiled warmly at her old friend. "It's still a bit of a mystery to Josch and myself as to why or how, but for the past three years, I was trapped in stasis out by the ruins we are headed towards. All I remember about the how is that it happened just as I was about to step off my ship. Three years later, when Josch found me trapped in stasis inside a chamber in the ruins, he broke the transparisteel casing around my lightsabers and then brought me out of stasis. It was..." here Miria chose her words carefully, "extremely taxing in the aftermath. I was extremely fatigued and my connection to the force seemed off due to the time difference as no one I knew save Josch was still around. I dealt with a lot of backlash of old memories as well as the taste of fear."

Miria didn't at all mind talking about the ordeal but she wasn't sure how much Daniel and Adalia would care to hear, so she stopped there, waiting to see if they would ask her more questions.

Anakin sat on the edge of the bed as Mekaila showed him a trick she picked up by watching Kasha. He smiled as she levitated the ball in the air and orbited it around her head. Children were so innocent and precious, he couldn’t bear to let them grow up too fast. He wasn’t as strong as Kasha in the Force so he decided to work with the children during his time at Ossus. He smiled as Brice climbed into his lap and leaned his head against his shoulder. “Mekaila, did you want to do some exploring?”

“Yeah, maybe they have sims somewhere,” Mekaila answered as she dropped the ball to the floor as she lost her concentration.

“Come on. You have to promise me to stay close and do as I say, this place looks like it’s been through the ringer not that long ago,” Anakin said as he stood up as Kasha took a hold of his hand.

“Dad, can we see the twin tail again?” Mekaila questioned with a hopeful yet adoring smile.

“I’m sorry, Mekaila but the answer is no,” Anakin answered with a frown as they walked out the door. “Only the pilot from the fighter can give you that permission, remember?”

“Oh yeah. I’m hungry, maybe we can find the mess hall,” Mekaila suggested with a cheeky grin reminding him of Kasha all of a sudden.

“We’ll see,” Anakin was careful not to make any promises and it was past their snack times. “Actually, that’s not a bad idea. I think there is still some food on the Rogue,” he said with a frown. Then he shook his head at their choice of transportation. Who ever had the ship last put in twin sub light engines and it took a while to rewire everything. They did an upgrade on the engines and she was faster then before. It took a while to work out all the bugs. If he didn’t know any better, they found the Millennium Falcon. That was too much to hope for. On the other hand it did raise suspicions on the previous owner.

He only could speculate at this point with no solid proof. They repainted the haul white from black. Maybe it was the Falcon. He read somewhere where the Falcon was painted black sometime during the Yuuzhan Vong war. Anakin looked at the mess hall as Mekaila looked around with a frown. “Wow, this place really needs some attending.”

“Could use some cleaning up,” Mekaila suggested.

“Yes, it could,” Anakin answered with a frown. “What do you say, kiddo? Do you want to help me get this place into better shape?”

Mekaila grinned with a nod. “Sounds like fun.”

Anakin found a few light snacks to give Mekaila and Brice. After they finished eating they set about cleaning up the mess hall. He pushed all the chairs and tables back to where they originally would’ve been if he had to guess. Mekaila pushed the chairs under the tables as Brice sat on the floor watching them work.

Mekaila pushed a few more broken chairs to the side. He got out the bucket with some water and soap and went about cleaning up the floor.

“Looks better, but we need to do something about that,” Mekaila said as she pointed to a hole in the wall with rubble below it.

“We will,” Anakin agreed as he finished washing the floor as Mekaila started wiping tables. “You’re being very helpful, sweetheart.”

After pushing the bucket into the kitchen he came back out as Mekaila walked over with Brice holding her hand. “Let’s get the kitchen into shape, and then we’ll see about fixing up that hole.”

After the kitchen was cleaned up and put back into order, Anakin noted it was time for dinner. He glanced down at Mekaila. “Let’s go get some stuff off the Rogue and make dinner and give some to Lenea and Ian. How does that sound?”

Mekaila gave a reluctant nod as she glanced at Anakin with a worried expression. “Daddy, does Ian don’t like me?”

“What makes you say that?” Anakin questioned gently as he remembered sensing Ian being irked with Mekaila’s behavior earlier.

“Well, I sensed something off him that wasn’t nice and it felt like it was directed towards me,” Mekaila answered with a frown.

“It’s sometimes easy to forget how excited and curious a five year old can be. You just need to give him some time, okay?” Anakin soothed gently. He wondered if Kasha sensed the same thing considering what she said in the hangar bay earlier, he suspected she didn’t miss a beat of it. “Come on, let’s go get some of the supplies then make some dinner. “

“Okay,” Mekaila grinned as Anakin picked up Brice and they headed towards the hangar bay.
    -----------
Mekaila helped measure the spices and stir the contents as Anakin attended to the oven. Brice was sitting in a corner as he played with his twin tail toy. It kept Brice occupied long enough for him to make the dinner and Mekaila was a huge help today. “When your mother gets back, maybe we should consider doubling your allowance this week.”

“Nah that’s okay,” Mekaila answered with a smile. “I like helping, its fun.”

Anakin smiled as he pulled the roast out and placed it on the counter. “How is the salad coming?”

“Finished,” Mekaila proclaimed proudly as she pointed to a sloppy looking salad.

Anakin grinned proudly. “It’s a good try, sweetheart. Come on, lets make up two plates and take it up to where Lenea and Ian are.”

    “Okay.”
    --------------------
Anakin pushed the cart with two dinner plates with salad, roast, potatoes, green beans and corn. There was a pitcher of water with two glasses and utensils on the cart. Mekaila held onto Brice’s hand as they walked into the TCC. “Dinner is served. I hope this is okay.”

“I helped make dinner,” Mekaila said with a proud grin.

Daniel nodded his head slightly. That must be why they hadn’t contacted him in so long. But it still raised a question. If she had been out by the ruins, why were they heading there now? And what was really going on here? The Force wasn’t giving Daniel any answers.

“But why did you contact us now? What happene…” Daniel started, before he heard the mental equivalent to a loud shout.

“We have a bit of problem here Danny. Another ship is coming here…we’ve got it handled if needed, but they claim to be under your friends orders. Might be a good idea to confirm that!” Lenea shouted over the bond.

Shaking his head slightly, Daniel turned further around in his seat, “We might have to pick this up later. According to Lenea there is another ship in orbit now. But the crew claims that Master Decinchi sent for them. Do you have any idea what their talking about?”

Adalia had been listening and when Daniel stopped speaking she knew something was wrong.

“We might have to pick this up later. According to Lenea there is another ship in orbit now. But the crew claims that Master Decinchi sent for them. Do you have any idea what their talking about?”

Immediately she began to scan first the area then the sky overhead. "Ship confirmed Captain." She said evenly as she read the screen before turning to hear Josch's explanation. She'd already checked the ship for weapons, but that meant little from down here and against what she was reading, but it was good to know.

In an instant, Miria was all animation, standing up, moving towards the view screen and intently listening to what Daniel said. She looked down to where he was sitting and told him, "I'm not sure which ship it was as I never saw it or heard the name, but we are expecting a friendly from a previous mission." Miria paused a moment, thinking what to say next. I'd like to say we can be sure but I just don't know.

Darth Lilith
    Aboard Fighter Craft

Lilith was in her element Everything seemed to go like clockwork. The Dark Renewal had made an appearance and was now countering The Wrath of Vader. Though things seemed well Lilith couldn’t help but notice something was off. The Dark Renewal suddenly stopped firing on the warship. She wondered why the cease fire and was about to ask but saw the enemy behind her.

She swerved as the Sith Meditation Sphere followed her every move. There was a dark presence of Darth Venomis in that sphere Lilith could feel it. The voice of darkness reaching out to ravage her mind. Lilith tempered her anger as the voice spoke to her.

Greetings small gnat. the one with the shadow of a master. the one who wishes to exceed, but is nothing more than a puppet.

“Puppet? that’s funny coming from someone who is in delusion that he is the true Dark Lord.”

Lilith knew that taunting was a Sith Specialty but it never had any effect on her. She tried to lose him but he was on her like metal scraps and a Jawa. He was firing all kinds of arsenal at her. Lilith decided to try a trick move and fly up then spina one eighty downward and hope to land behind him. She wasn’t sure if it was going to work but she used the force to aid her.

She just obliged him. It was all a game to Mystique. She had plans for Haretisch but she knew it would not come from Kya. Oh it was just a matter of time but first things first. Lexis listened as the other Sith around him talked in preparation for their ground mission. Even as they discussed tactics, politics, and recent history, his mind was elsewhere. His thoughts were back on Goreh, on the ashen field where he encountered the Jedi swine, who claimed to be the Knight Sentinel of the Guardians of Light.

Lexis spent the better part of their journey searching for any mention of a Jedi sect called the Guardians of Light and found none. Even after scouring the combined resources of the Acolytes and the Dominion he came up empty, nothing to indicate a group going by that name. It was maddening.

Even now as they prepared an assault on the Chiss vagrants that claimed they were followers of the Darkness he brooded on the fact that he could not unearth any evidence of the Guardians. It angered him just to think about his failure, so he took that anger and used it to gain his focus, a focus he utilized while adjusting his Jal Shey Advisor armor and strapping himself into his ‘spear’.

As the time for their launch approached Lexis closed his eyes and drew on the power of Bogan for strength. Before he knew it he was streaking down towards the planet below and that is when it happened… a vision.

There stood the Jedi laughing at him while flipping an old credcoin in his hand. He cherished one side of the coin while protecting the other. As the Jedi flipped it once more up into the air, Lexis reached out with the Force and pulled it to himself.

He looked over the old currency and found that it had two identical faces. The coin itself was rusted and tarnished while the two faces were perfect and flawless. As he examined the faces of the two identical women he recognized them from his research and two names flashed through his mind… Miria and Dovey.

Once his spear struck the planet he realized he a decision to make: whether or not he should share this information with Darth Malkuth or wait until he could contact his Dark Queen, Darth Mystique.

Standing there he merely nodded at the Jedi's departure. So many questions that one stirred him, but of a life and lives that had been left for dead long ago, except for that one brief moment before a ship that no longer was. Such was the will of the force, and he was enriched by it in other ways. Besides, so much crude matter would merely clutter up his mind and clog the proper flow of the force through it. Much better to be clear, focused, and relaxed in the force.

As the owner of this fine ship stood and made her way over to him he felt his breathing soften, he had noted before the Jedi had left how he had interacted with this one. Also that blindness was hopefully temporarily afflicting her. When she spoke, asking if he was indeed himself and pointing slightly askew with both eyes and hand he buzzed softly as he debated how to answer her. Then reaching out with a gloved hand he gently put his stubby fingers alongside her own, grazing the side of her hand with just enough pressure to put it on course for his heart, then pressed lightly with a curl of his fingers around hers to guide her hand to his chest if she did not resist. "Yes Lady, it is I." with a slight warble from his trunk he pointed it out toward one of her ears and spoke softly, "When I damaged my goggles once, I was forced to do as you do for several days. Lift up your heart, for your light shall return sooner, and you are among those that will aid you as it comes. Let the force be what it is, it cannot supplant your eyes, but it can give something as good."

Josch half listened as the real Kasha explained how she came to be with them on Saridona Prime. As he did, he sat there looking at the image of Fress and him from their days in the MERCs. It took him back nearly one and a half centuries ago when they first encountered each other over an open comm frequency.

                      Space Battle, Droxu, 1.5 BBY

"Firecracker to Mac, you're with flight One, get to the port side of the fleet,"

"Who is this chick?" Josch asked out loud to Fidget and Navi with his comms turned off. Navi, who did not realize that it was a rhetorical question, answered without hesitation.

{{MERC-7, FO Kasha Sherland, callsign Firecracker.}} Josch just shook his head.

"Firecracker this is Mac, that I already knew and was on my way there with Spook. What I didn’t know was which capital ship I am to report to once we punch through.” Josch assumed that he would just follow Spook into the correct hanger once that time came, but at this point in time he didn’t want to assume anything. He especially did not want to end up without a chair when the music stopped.

Once she finished Josch turned his focus back to her, “Ironically, that is how I ended up here about a decade ago. I heard the Force calling, singing really, out to me and could not resist its pull any longer. I think the source of this Force phenomena is located within the Ruins themselves and that is why we are going to investigate them thoroughly.”

Just looking at Kasha caused a single image to flash in front of his eyes, Fress having a good laugh just after she played a joke on one of their squad mates. “What do you know about your…” But Josch’s thought was interrupted by a tingling in the Force. “Do you feel that? A sense of being pulled in? We’re nearing the Ruins. But there’s something else…”

Josch closed his eyes to contemplate on the will of the Force, “I’m sorry to cut our chat short, Jedi Sherland, but I think I am needed in the cockpit. Will you accompany me?” Josch stood up and headed for the freighters cockpit.

Out of the darkness that surrounded the isolated world of Saridona Prime an ancient Dynamic-class freighter popped out of hyperspace. The relic of the Old Republic carried the curious duo of Allynic Sitan, a young Caamasi who had been frozen in carbonite for five generations, and Kahlifa Sunrider, the ancestor of one of the most famous Jedi of the ancient Jedi Order. They were following the call of the Force from Ossus, the former home of the New Jedi Order Academy and Library, to where they believed they could continue their training.

Where they found themselves was hovering between a Nebula-class and a Gladiator-class star destroyers who were pointing their weapons at each other. One of the Dymanic’s occupants just muttered two words.

                      “Oh boy.”

It seemed that Taab’s method of motivating the young Padawan did not necessarily work. The other destroyer hadn’t opened fire on them, but they were not standing down either. So Voj decided that they would be the ones to blink first. “Captain Pythos lower the shields and take the weapons offline, they should be able to tell that we are defenseless and mean them no harm.”

“As you command Sir,” the old Captain said after snapping to attention.

Suddenly the sensors read an old Dynamic-class freighter coming out of hyperspace, “What in the Force is this yahoo doing?” Voj asked rhetorically. He looked down at the communications officer sitting in front of him, “Open up a channel to that new freighter and let them know that we are coming out to escort them to the surface. Then relay the same message to the NSD and the Temple. I’m going to take the Marauder since it has a GoL friendly transponder code.”

As he stood up he realized that Jaxon, Leianna, Seanna, and Seneca had gathered round him, “I’m assuming you all are coming along as well.” He looked over at Taab, “I am guessing you are wanting to get back to your old friends as well.” Voj sighed deeply and just shook his head, “Alright let’s go.”

They all started to head for the hanger bay. Captain Pythos left control of the ship to the senior ranking bridge officer. He explained as they stepped into the turbolift that he was really an Army Captain and not cut out for commanding a capital ship anyways.

Once they reached the hanger bay Seanna looked at Taab, “Sergeant, if it’s ok with you I would rather hitch a ride in the UF then put up with the love boat over there.” Nodding her head to indicate how Leianna seemed permanently glued to Voj’s arm.

“I’m sure it’ll be alright, Cheeka, besides I was going to share one of my old war stories with the good Sergeant. Let me tell you both about the time that jumped in behind Imp lines with nothing more than a pack of smokes, a datapad, and orders to take out their newest version of the Viper War Droid, the X-55.”

Before long Taab’s J-1 shuttle along with Voj’s modified YT-1930 were leaving the front of the GSD heading straight for the old Core Galaxy Systems light freighter. All were hoping that by the time they reached them everything had been worked out with Guardians so they could lead the newcomer to ground.

"I'm not sure which ship it was as I never saw it or heard the name, but we are expecting a friendly from a previous mission." Miria paused a moment, thinking what to say next, “I'd like to say we can be sure but I just don't know.”

Daniel nodded his head. At least that fit what Lenea had told him. Even without confirming it with Master Decinchi first, Daniel was fairly certain this ship was a friendly. Before he could say anything, he got another mental message from his sister.

“The Redemption reports a pair of shuttles leaving the GSD Danny. One of them has an IFF the Temple registers as friendly…their escorting an old, and I mean OLD Dynamic-class down too. I let them pass, but I’m still not sure about this…

Daniel absently nodded. Turning back to his old friend/Master, he looked past Miria towards the doorway. It seemed that the other Master was right outside…
“It looks like Master Decinchi sensed it too,” Daniel said, waving a hand slightly and opening the hatch, “Now we can figure out what is going on here.”

“Don’t fire on them,” Lenea ordered, after the situation had been explained to her.

“Are you sure about that Lenea? Have you confirmed it with Daniel?” Arrica asked back.

“No I haven’t. But I have one of the Guardians here, and he said that their a friendly. Just let them be for now, and we’ll confirm it as soon as we can. Just don’t let them out of your sight,” Lenea replied.

Arrica nodded, “Okay. You heard her everyone, keep the weapons locked, but don’t open fire.”

The crew nodded and continued to keep a wary eye on the other Destroyer. All of them wondered who would ‘blink’ first. Would the GSD open fire? Or would it power down its weapons? Or jump to hyperspace? So many different things could happen, that it was impossible to predict with anything resembling certainty.

As it turned out though, the other ship blinked, “Their powering down their weapons and shields ma’am.”

Arrica let out a sigh of relief, “Looks like we got out of a fight here. Send a message to the Tem…”

Before she could finish, a message from the GSD, saying they were launching a freighter. And that they were going to escort that old Dynamic that was apparently being flown by drunken kids, as it had dropped right between the two Destroyers during their standoff. One of the freighters that came from the other Destroyer had what registered as a GoL IFF, so that part of their story seemed to be true at least.

“As I was saying…send a message down to the Temple. Let them know about the freighters coming in, and that the GSD has powered down its weapons.”

Before the Padawn could reply, Lenea got another message from the Redemption. And it was a good thing too, since the sensors had picked up a pair of freighters launching from the GSD, along with an old Dynamic that had appeared out of nowhere.

“The GSD powered down its weapons Lenea. And they launched a pair of freighters, one of which has a friendly IFF. They say they’ll escort the Dynamic down too. Do you want me to vector a couple of the Raptors as additional escorts?”

Lenea nodded, “Good idea. I’ll get them on it.”

After saying that, Lenea sent her message to Danny, before plopping down in one of the chairs and running a hand through her messy brown hair. This was way more stressful than she had been expecting…
