*straps on snowshoes* Can't beat it. Might as well have fun in it. *trudges out to build an epic snow fort in the name of the Sith Empire*

 

We got barely an inch.

It treacherous out.

 

Wha?

 

I am knee-deep in the troublemaking icon of winter. It's made for some spectacular photos of the forestry surrounding my pastures, but travel by anything but foot or snowmobile is out of the question in my immediate area. Even the interstates are messy.

 

How Virginians see an inch of snow...

Thank goodness I can walk to work in the morning.

True enough.

 

Couldn' see where the road was on my way to work at 5am. Luckily someone braved the storm and I followed a pair of lone tire tracks all the way to work..

 

^That's what I'm talking about!

 

I worked the whole day from home.

 

I had a two hour delay so I got to sleep in two hours later.

 

I had to wake up normal time (430AM) and work a full, normal day.

YAY.

I wish I could have made it in to work. I got up at 4:30 for no reason. When are we going to come up with self-heating roads that snow and ice won't stick to. We've advanced that far with technology, haven't we?

 

Sure we have... but I don't want to pay the taxes for that.

 

Taxes never go toward roadway improvement. New York State is a prime example of that. They tax people to death and whatever they use the money for, it sure isn't the roads. Oh sure, they bottleneck the highways down to one lane and have orange barrels all over the place for six months and then when they take down the construction zone, it's not any different than it was before they deemed it a construction zone.

 

Well, you would think that roads would have priority but then again....
