Hehe. I have been moving both myself and my considerable library into a new base, which is now mostly complete. Also, still waiting for my slumbering computer to work.

That said, I do welcome a new beast to experiment upon!

A general question for you all, if I may. What attracts you to the dark side and/or the Sith?

 

For me it's a couple of things. I like the Sith aesthetic - the theatrics of being a mustache-twirling baddie. And that feeds into the second reason; I just find the Sith more fun. Especially on Tf.n it seems like the Sith have usually been more about having a good time and razzing each other and the Jedi take themselves a little more seriously. Again, that's not true across the board and hasn't always been the case historically, not in the periods of time in which we've lost our way, but in general I think it's how things have been for the most part.

It's a way to blow off steam. It's a lot easier to go to work, sit at my desk, go to meetings, and behave myself if I can come home, pretend to be a Sith Lord, and force choke people.

 

Not to mention frying said people, or poisoning them.

 

I make my wife call me Night Herald sometimes.

 

It's the aesthetic for me, as well! I've always found myself more intrigued by villains than heroes, and I appreciate the rawness of the dark side. I find the dark side more relatable in most cases! When I was initially considering joining either the Jedi or Sith here on JC, I had this whole dramatic fall from light to dark planned because I like the dark best but wanted the experience of the light. In the end, as you all know, I just went straight for the Sith.

It's turned out to be a great way to unwind for me, too. I love playing around as the baddie I always wished I was.

 

In a nutshell, it's a lot more fun being the villain.

I've roleplayed almost only good guys until I came here so I thought it would be interesting to change sides
Although I really like many Sith characters in Star Wars.
And Lady Belligerent told me that this tread is more fun than the Jedi counterpart

 

I have heard of the first one... interesting... adding it to the list. Currently reading a book about downed US Navy pilots in the Pacific theater of WWII, as they survive on islands and try to provide intelligence.
