    Rian Aijou
    Sith Temple

With the arrival of the Sith, it seemed as though there was still hope for their order. Re'van, Rian, Rilwen, and Manticore had all formed up around their liege, prepared to fight to death to defend this place. Glancing at the other warriors around him, Rian felt a sense of confidence that hadn't touched him before. There they stood, the four of them, powerful and unwavering, in the face of extreme adversity. It was a picturesue scene, as they formed a half circle around the Dark Lord, blades bared and faces stoic.

Manticore instructed them to protect Vassago, the air around them seemingly hushed. Rilwen had already turned his suggestion into practice, and had moved to prevent any attackers from coming into range. She would cut down any who challenged her, of that Rian was sure. In the instant Manticore moved, diving into battle as though he was born there. Considering the Zabrak, Rian thought he very well may have been.

Rian followed suit, though he would have to go about it a different way. He wasn't as skilled with a blade as the Dark Lords apprentice, though his mind was as sharp. Trusting Rilwen to protect the Dark Lords immediate area, and Re'van to her own devices, he made his own bid for carnage. Rian focused on his own Force connection, reaching deep inside to combine his reserves with those of the Dark Side, enhancing his physical attributes.

He then bent at the knees, and using all of the considerable strength of his compact muscles and the infinite expanse of the Force, he leapt. Rian flew upward, over the front line of the enemy that Manticore was currently hacking his way through. He target was not them, nor any of the aliens directly behind them. He would opt for another tactic.

His body high in the air, hanging for a split second that seemed to last for eternity, he sized up the troop concentration below him. Many eyes had risen to watch his ascent, some steeling for his inevitable return to the ground. So many aliens, it made his mind spin. His confidence did not wane, however, and his conviction that they must perservere only increased.

Concluding his momentary assessment of enemy numbers, he directed his attention toward a pattern in the mass of aliens. A hub by which they turned. He saw serveral, spread out in intervals that might indicate a formation of some kind. It was to one of those hubs that he direct himself, as he began to plummet back down.

As he fell, the Sith Apprentice let his Black Blade fizzle out into nothing, knowing he would need his hand free for the moments to come. Concentrating at the ground below, and the Kiasyd gathered below, Rian held out his left hand, palm down. He used his rudimentary knowledge of Telekinesis to his advantage, utilizing a technique that Force users has aptly dubbed a "Force Push".

From his hand came and invisible and powerful force, the air around it resonating in a deep thrum. The impact was almost instantaneous, the displacement of energy immediately throwing several of the gathered aliens away from their post. The move had a second purpose, which was to slow the Siths descent enough that he could land lightly, prepared to defend himself.

Which he did. Rian landed on the balls of his feet, surrounded by a number of enemy warriors. It would seem they didn't expect such a ploy, and he would use that to his full advantage. The Sith Apprentice moved swiftly, dark eyes scanning the aliens for his target: One of the Kiasyd officers, who was surely in charge of this particular part of the formation.

Rian was quicksilver to their molassess. For while the aliens were by no means slow, lumbering giants, he was that much faster. Augmented by the Dark Side, his natural speed and size became immediately known to the much taller invaders. After touching down in the middle of the warriors, Rian moved to the first one with a quickness that would put a falling star to shame.

He leapt at the alien, planting both feet on his stomach as he plunged the crimson blade of his lightsaber almost hilt deep into

    Re'van - Sith Temple, Korriban

Re'van noticed movement nearby. The Sith known as Rian skittered across the debris covered floor and turned his fall into a roll, then managed to spring onto his feet with surprising agility. The energies coming from him, showed he was more than ready for battle. "Quite a few of them, aren't there?" He said, glancing back at the others, his tone surprisingly light. Had not Re'van been busy, she might have smiled. Instead, she simply answered his statement. "Quite" she muttered, as she moved, passing the group, to deal with other troups nearby. She was enjoying her own brand of distruction at the moment. Re'van continued her assault throught the ranks, using the Darkside to move her to inhuman speeds as she flared throught the ranks. She cleved herself a way though the enemy forces, moving into a postion to flank where Manticore and Lord Vassago were located. As her sabers flared deep red, hungrily slicing into whatever had the misfortune to be near her, she continued to use Shock burst as well. It would hopefully, give her just enough of an edge to deal with these foul creatures who had come uninvited into their home. She unleashed what look like a blast of Force Lighting around her, striking anything unfortunate to be near her for several feet in all directions. And she would follow it up with the deadly hum of her sabers, feeding from the energies around her.

Manticore only managed a grunt in response, as he was locked in a death-stare contest with the hulking invader. Suddenly Manticore let lose a shout. "Protect the Dark Lord!!" the blood red zabrak shouts to his fellow sith with heated abandon. Re'van dosent look back, but the thought filters through her mind...'And what did you think we were doing BEFORE!!' But she kepts her thoughts private, as a new wave of vermin came scampering her way.

Re'van still was causing havok within the ranks, with her two dark spheres ripping throught the armor and ranks of the enemy. The third, she had kept close to her. She used it as a shield, as she moved, leaping and landing, doing a shock burst, and then cleaving the ranks clean with her sabers. It was few times she had a chance to kill with such joy and reckless abandon. And she enjoyed every bit of it now. Her anger and hate and furry would find many targets this day, on those creatures who dared to attack as craven cowards as they were away. They would find out the true power of the Sith, not that they would live to tell another soul. The sands of Korriban would be fed with their blood. Re'van did not stare at the filth in front of her, to see their final fall, as she removed the life from them. There was far to many. But she could feel it, and with each pass of her sabers, she felt the life energies flow. She drew those energies to her, using them to fuel her attacks, as she began to open up the space in the courtyards. She was sure that Manticore was busy dealing with the most dangerious they had seen so far. And until he looked otherwise unable to continue, she would persue on cleansing the yard of the filth therein. She choose attacks that would take out the greatest numbers in any one attack, or swing of her saber. That fool of an alien from before had driven her fury to heights that had surpassed anything anyone at the temple had seen before. So now she used that energy and power, to uterrly destroy her enemies.

The Darkside feed into her very being, as she began a new onslaught, kicking a soldier she had just gutted, into a few that dared to rush forward. She then smiled. She was going to enjoy every last bit of this slaughter. She doubted they would feel the same.
    Even better...

Michealle was making good time considering everyone was at the temple, or making havoc their or in the sky. She cursed herself for being an idiot, and falling off the stupid dog. Michealle shrugged her shoulders and continued to run. She had to make it there before all the fun was over.

Time flew, as did her clothes, but now she was able to see the battlements of the high tower. Grabbing a binocular, she stopped and taking it to the max, she could see several men there guarding the gates to the temple. Though she could guess that they were not the normal "guest greeters". Michealle had to get closer to them for any of her powers to be effective. So, being who she was, she stood up and walked towards the gate.

The Sith Compound --- The Battle --- Present Day

~Minutes feel like hours. A pounding heartbeat rings in the Dark Lord's mind, as if his heart has jumped from his chest to the center of his skull. He hears nothing but the pounding. His lungs work frantically as his chest heaves up then down, over and over. His breathing is labored. Through his eyes he sees flashes in the skies and, as his head instinctively thrashes from one side to the other, he sees blurred images of the battle around him, red dust and debris all about him.

Suddenly. The Dark Lord feels his body pulled for a brief moment...his eyelids fall. Then...nothing.

Darkness surrounds him. Horrific scenes of times past, times present, and times yet to come scream by him, like a murder of crows streaking the sky. Seemingly lost, beyond dazed...the Dark Lord sees a figure before him, in his mind..an old man, swathed in a great cloak, the color of which not easy to tell in the Dark Lord's present state. Before in the distance, the cloaked figure now stands in Vassago's direct line of sight; his face long, with a high forehead. The figure wears a hood, shrouding his dark eyes, hard to fathom. From what Vassago could make out, the being had a somewhat familiar carven face, with proud bones and skin like ivory, and a long curved nose between the figure's dark eyes. A sweeping silver beard was the most obvious of this figures features...

Vassago reaches out his hand, his eyes glazed, and attempts to touch the figure. The moment the tips of his fingers touch the figure, the Dark Lord is shocked with haunting and terrifying images of the planet Korriban being laid to utter waste; smoke billows from the Sith planets surface and the mangled bodies of those under his tutelage litter the planets desolate sands. Their souls, whispers of what once was, are seen inhabiting the red terrain of the once proud and feared planet, now barren and conquered.

The moment Vassago retracts his hand from the cloaked figure, a tragic voice rings out and echoes through his mind "What have
    you done?"

Those words lead him back to consciousness...and ring in his mind like a bell, tolling over and over in the midnight air.

The Dark Lord Vassago is a supremely powerful and intelligent Sith Lord, to be sure. His knowledge of the Dark Side and Sith Magic is said to be more extensive than any other alive...though, his arrogance leads him to forget seemingly unimportant details from the past, which has nearly lead to his undoing on a few, select occasions....such as this night. Seemingly ignoring a vision, a whisper, something slight. Something so...small. Yet...so significant...

"Lord Vassago?" These words welcome the Dark Lord back, but a surge of the Dark side shoots through the Dark Lord, causing him to arch his back and clench his teeth in immense pain. Such only lasts for a moment, and before a moment passes he is flat on his back, once more, tangled in his tattered, dirty cape. "What...what have I done? What have...I d-done?" The words sputter from the Dark Lord's mouth through coughs and his eyes attempt to focus on the battle around him.

The first thing Vassago does is check his wound, bringing his hand up to his shoulder. He realizes he's already healed himself. Quickly his hands fall to the ground, searching for the lightsabers he lost moments before...to his surprise, and pleasure, he finds both of his weapons at his side. Gathering his strength, the Dark Lord raises his head, supporting himself on his elbows, and takes a moment to look around; his vision is still hazy from whatever it was the Kiasyd General did to him, beyond the shield strike. To the Dark Lord's great surprise, he is surrounded by the members of his Order. Halfway relieved, the Dark Lord takes a moment to calm himself, his breathing and his heart...yet something troubles him; he is still without the aide of the Force.

The Dark Lord swallows hard as he cannot sense those around him, the yo

    Lord Manticore

    Sith Temple

The deaths of the kiasyd grunts were not nearly enough. Inside his chest he burned with blazing anger and throughout his whole body, the blood red zabrak trembled. He was nearing a frenzied fury as the unbridled power of the darkside crested and continued to surge inside him with explosive force. The battle roused the beast locked deep inside of him. It roared from within the abyss of his soul, trashing, roaring, eager for release.

Lord Manticore snarled as he let the power wash over him, as he fed on the darkside with a hunger akin to one who was starved for several lunar cycles. This power...it rejuvenated him. It arrested any signs of fatigue, furthermore, it continued to fuel him, to enhance him. It encouraged him to be an agent of death and destruction. It demanded it!

How then could he deny the very will of the darkside.

Through the force, the Dark Lord's Apprentice could feel the darkness all aound, rising, higher and higher. He was not sure what it meant, nor could he stop to ponder the question. All he knew was that power was being funneled into him. Power he would need to obliterate his enemies. Manticore could feel the power pouring into Re'van, Rian and even Rilwen.

It seemed that his desire to destroy the invaders would become a reality after all.

The blood red zabrak's fiery gaze locked onto that of the giant-sized invader, and even though he did this, he was keenly aware of everything happening around him. The invaders were bringing in additional reinforcements to battle his fellow sith.

    Foolish, forceless invaders.

Manticore twirled his saberstaff and took a wide ready stance as the invading leader stepped forth, yet still cautious to keep his distance.

"You are brave, Sith! But also surprisingly foolish...just as your Dark Lord was to strike down our peacemaker!"

The huge creature steps forward, banging his shield on the ground with each step he takes. Manticore does not budge, but takes a deeper stance. He does not change his expression at all, but through the Force, he does notice that the huge invader is trying to hide something. However, what the invader does not realize, is that with sufficent focus, they can be sensed in the Force as faint and fuzzy signatures. That particular distinction can still be used to target and identify them, especially here.

A surge of the darkside goes out as Manticore expands on his attack plan. This inavder is not the only one who can plan surprises.

Manticore feels the moment. His fellow acolytes are about to be engaged and faced with a greater challenge presented by more invaders. Manticore feels the ebb and flow of the Force as the sith rise to the ocassion. It is this same flow that reveals to him a great travesty.

Taking care not to walk too close, the kiasyd leader speaks once more, "Look at your Dark Lord, now! Your brave and fearless leader has thrown himself at our armies and now, he is at our mercy! Look at him...void of the Force, void of all power, he is nothing but a broken old man. Soon my armies will break the back of this entire Order, killing them one by one...butI will begin with you, whelp!"

The mythic beast inside the zabrak roars in response to the kiasyd invader's words and Manticore growls in response. The kiasyd confirms what he'd only felt moments ago. The Dark Lord.....he is indeed without the Force. How can such a thing be possible?

Almost as if in answer, the hulking kiasyd leader imparts a hideous grin as his eyes narrow to slits. His black lips peel back, exposing the dangerous canines.

Instantly, Manticore realizes what MUST be done. From behind the Sith Apprentice, a familiar voice speaks.

"Then I believe you have quite a task ahead of you, General..." The Dark Lord says through somewhat labored breaths. His voice comes from behind the others, and no doubt proves a surprise to everyone around him.

Manticore stays focused and does not allow the moment to distract h

And then suddenly, there were four. Mentok furrowed his brow. How peculiar that such things transpired. The force was flowing in strange directions. It rolled and flecked, the smooth river from past to future now a swirling rapid of change and strife. And it seemed to be drawing the Red Sith. Pulling and tugging them down an interesting tributary.

Mentok looked at the darkly robed figure with its hands extended non-threateningly. And then to the pair of ghostly red eyes gazing out into the team. He felt comfortable with the one called Draconis, but the ghost made him uneasy. Mentok used his bond with Nim to communicate his thoughts that he would disarm, while she should stay armed.

Mentok smiled, then waved one of his own hands, the lightsaber in it sliding back up into his sleeve with one fluid motion.

"We accept your offer of discussion Draconis, as do we accept the advice of this ghostly spectre. We were heading to some caves further along this path. I presume these will be safe for the moment. Let us proceed."

Mentok looked back to Nim, who was standing behind him...

"Pay no head to my partner Nim, she bestows her trust only to those who earn it."

Mentok began walking ahead, hoping the entourage of visitors would tag along.

    Draconis--Korriban Wild--Mountain Pass

Acknowledging Mentok's Defel companion and the two others. Draconis turned and began to walk as they made their way towards the destined shelter of a nearby cave. Mentok recalled his weapon in a genuine gesture. "We accept your offer of discussion Draconis, as do we accept the advice of this ghostly spectre. We were heading to some caves further along this path. I presume these will be safe for the moment. Let us proceed. Pay no head to my partner Nim, she bestows her trust only to those who earn it." Draconis slowed his pace allow Mentok to come along side him should he wish, though Draconis did not waste time to begin speaking.

Indeed time is at a premium this day... It is of no consequence your friend Nim's trust is valuable and actions completly warrented...

I wish to speak with you on certain events... whether fully aware of in specific terms or not, it matters not for you no doubt have felt the current and flow of the force associated with it.

You know something is at work, something beyond the normal scope.

    Draconis said plainly, before continuing.

I have observed your group for sometime now, observing your capcity and unique understanding of philosophy associated with your views of the Sith.

I can respect that. Views I believe found very rarely. Something we can almost say we have in common...

Draconis smiled slightly. It was an interesting thing to find darksiders of such view, he had observed this group led by this Mentok for sometime while he had been exiled, Mentok may or may not have felt his presence at a time. Regardless it offered what Draconis thought was this opportunity to meet and feel out a potential ally... or threat. No dount Xen was among them, his spectre hovering just out of sight, but intently observing, possibly waiting to feed Draconis information, or fill his head with a thought. There was so much to be discussed but Draconis called on his patience knowing the force would continue to guide him, this was the important moment... here... now. And he needed to remain here, as much as he knew events tugged at him from elsewhere.

Rilwen still stood near the Dark Lord, lightsaber in one hand, a dagger in the other, watching for any enemy that got too close. With a swift flick, she hurled the dagger, sending it through the eye of an approaching creature. It toppled, but its sword did not, moved by the Force to decapitate the next comer.

"Look at your Dark Lord, now! Your brave and fearless leader has thrown himself at our armies and now, he is at our mercy! Look at him...void of the Force, void of all power, he is nothing but a broken old man. Soon my armies will break the back of this entire Order, killing them one by one...butI will begin with you, whelp!"

Her attention caught by these words, Rilwen's lips twisted into an expression of contempt for so boastful an enemy, who had gravely underestimated the Sith.

"Then I believe you have quite a task ahead of you, General..."

Turning her head to look at the Dark Lord, she saw him nod, seemingly in gratitude. Rilwen nodded back, smiling very briefly, before turning her attention back to the task at hand. Being thrifty, she recalled two throwing knives used earlier from where they were embedded in enemy bodies. First one, then the other, was used to bring down more of the foe.

Being somewhat outside the battle, save when some made it through, Rilwen was able to see the threats that faced the others. Through the Force, she sent first Re'van, then Rian, brief mental images that from her perspective revealed the larger and more ominous-seeming creatures approaching them. Warned, they'd have a better chance.

Next, the redhaired Assassin's thoughts turned to Manticore, and the blustering monster facing him. An evil smile flickered on her lips as she sent him an idea of a way to quiet the creature. The tools required were all around them, lying amid the planet's sands as they had been for centuries. If the Dark Lord's apprentice heeded her idea...it would be fun.

Nim was silent at the darkly robed newcomers words. She wasnt going to deny or agree to what he was said. Mentok looked from the new people, then towards Nim. She stood silent, holding her staff in her hands. Suddenly, Nim fell Mentok speaking with her. He stated silently that he would disarm, while she should stay armed. Nim had not planned to put her weapon down anyway.

Nim held back the urge to growl. Instead, she silnet showed her fangs in annoyment to his comment. She didnt dissagree with what the general idea. But to suggest to ignore her, did not suit her. But now was not such time for things.

Re'van - The Sith Compound, The Battle, Korriban

Re'van strikes into the enemy with a primal rage, and cold calcualtion as she tears into the masses. She is fully within the Darkside, as she feels it guide her to where her attacks would be the most effective. The DarkSide was hers, as she belonged to it, as together they moved, bringing about distruction with every move of her dark orbs, and swing of her saber. But even as Re'van cleaved a way throught the ranks, to move to a postion to flank Manticore, Lord Vassago and the others, she was quick to note something. While her orbs seemed to be having an effect on the soldiers, her shock burst seemed to do little, if any damage. At least the orbs had the intended effects, as did her sabers. She continued to use them in dealing with the enemy that had dared to think themselves as great, as to attack them. As Re'van cleaved her path throught them, she quickly came to a stop, as the Darkside called her attentions. A voice. Near where Lord Manticore, Rilwen and the Dark Lord himself were located. It is an annoying and strange voice that speaks over the din of the battle. It is insulting as well, as it spoke. "Look at your Dark Lord, now! Your brave and fearless leader has thrown himself at our armies and now, he is at our mercy! Look at him...void of the Force, void of all power, he is nothing but a broken old man. Soon my armies will break the back of this entire Order, killing them one by one...but I will begin with you, whelp!" Re'van did not turn, but she heard the Dark Lords reply. "Then I believe you have quite a task ahead of you, General..." Re'van's eyebrows arched. 'void of the Force?' she thought to herself. But she could not venture any more upon that path of thought, as another quickly called her attentions elsewhere.

There is a roar, unlike anything she had ever heard before in her life. The crowd of troups suddenly split open before her, opening like some great sea. At the other end, stands a huge being in ceremonial armor. Towering well above the other warriors around her. Someone definatelly in charge, sending out a challenge. Towards her. The DarkSide swirled around Re'van hugrily in a red swirling ebb. Re'van coudlnt have been more thrilled. The Darkness coursed through her veins, as she crouched low, responding in her own snarl. This creature would learn the folly of dealing with a Sith intent on distruction. And she had learned her skills well. She quickly notices there are two beings with him as well. Feslark! Smaller than him, but still huge. Hmmm. More dogs to slay. She snorted, as the towering being who seemed to be in charge pointed out Re'van to his underlings.

At first, she thought she would have the pleasure of only dispatching the two lesser soldiers, as they began to snarl anxiously as they rush towards her. But the other creature lumbers behind for only a moment. He then leaps into the air, shield and sword at the ready, and sticks a solid landing infront of Re'van waving his shield. So, he is not a total idiot. As the ground trembles around him, and the dogs comes up the back, the General takes a mighty upwards swing towards Re'van. Re'van dodges the blow, rolling backwards using the Darkside to fuel her movements. As she did, she brought up both arms, while her hidden arms were busy preparing. Re'van was a Sith. But she was no fool. And she knew when dealing with non-force users, sometimes the old ways worked better. Unexpected moves, and things a being would not believe a Sith to do. As she had come back up into a crouch, she used her two sabers to attack whatever came in her direction, while she flexed her arms. Several blades, 2 from each arm, fired from the device she had strapped to her forearms. Since the being in front of her, was busily waving a shield about, she aimed for his lower body. He was armored, but all armor had breaks, in order for a being the move. And she used the DarkSide to guide her blades, while the other two were directed for the throats of the underlings charging up behind him.

Her clothes were ragged and torn, but not from any fight or weather, but by her own hand. Her concelled weapons, the Death Sticks, were tucked under her clothes, and her sabers were in hand. She looked tired and worn, but always ready to fight. Though if someone looked more closly, she was faking it all. She was ready to move in a moment notice. The force was being held in check, and her anger of these invaders was in check too.

She was now with in striking distance of the two new guards outside her home of many years. The two were not of any species that she had ever seen here at the temple, so it was fair play on these poor ones. As Michealle walked forward, she spoke kind and luring words of comfort to them.

"Hello, master guards, I am here too see the Master of the place. May I enter to learn from your master?" Her sabers held in soft, and delicate hands. The noise of battle could even be heard here at the gates, and knew that she needed to hurry to meet up with the rest, and make a pincher move from behind the invading force. Though as she looked at the invading gaurds, all custion went out the door.

Summoning the dark forces that were all around and flowing free, she moved with fury, as her sabers came alive, and ran at them screaming, DIE!, trying to seprate them.

Mentok raised his brow. An ally from the shadows? My what a small galaxy it was. Mentok noted Nim's annoyance, though the reason escaped him. Probably due to a misunderstanding. He also noted the ripped threads of Draconis. He had not seen it when the other Sith was further away, but now, at this distance, he could see that this creature had seen alot of damage. An interesting point to note.

Soon the quartet found the cave they were searching for. It seemed well protected by high walls, and it seemed to go deep into the mountainside. Mentok could sense a few creatures living in there, but nothing too terribly dangerous.

"Common ideas indeed." Mentok said. "It is surprising that my philosophy or its equivalent could be found outside of myself, although I suppose that is arrogance speaking."

Mentok smiled a bit as they entered the cave, then switched to a more serious tone.

"So what *IS* going on in this world? Are we really that unlucky so as to get caught in an Armageddon event?"

The man turned to look outside, a thoughtful look on his face.

"Or... some sort of.... invasion. I sense malice and determination laced in the air, and moreso then the normal amounts."

His mind could not shake the questions as to who Draconis was. And what was this spirit that was tagging along. He would have to ask about that when the moment had stabilized. If strangers brought insight on this event, then they were all the more valuable for it.

    Draconis----Korriban Wild----Mountain Pass

They had arrived finding shelter in the cave network of Korriban. Mentok spoke. The conversation went from informal observation of philosophies to the matter at had. Which what was no doubt pressing on all their minds. What is going on in this world. Draconis demeanor remained composed, but noticible would be the saddness the unsureness in his speech.

    I do not know...

Draconis was not in the sitting mood so he came up along side Mentok. At a distance that might have made him uncomfortable regardless of Draconis letting out an aura of calmness... there was no deception in him currently, but inside Draconis the weight of the situation he attempted to grasped pulled him down making him take the chance on opening up more personable discussion.

Though I know both of us sense the need to... figure out one another.

    Draconis said plainly.

I can tell you this. There is a foreign power here now, crawling across the skies and dirt... regarless of who or what it is. Its intentions could not be more clear... the destruction of this current order.

Though whether that is a good thing or whether to see the regime of Darth Vassago fall and be replaced by another at all... is not my concern. My loyalties and relationship with the being whom rules the Sith currently is not the issue. My concern is the Sith and the Sith as a whole alone. And whether such actions taking place currently will affect our existance and our culture as a whole.

How things play out in the short term is irrelivent as long as the outcome is such that the Sith ways are preserved.

Perhaps I am being too... over zealous in my ideals? But I do think there is more to our teachings than an endless cycle of destruction. And if I do not find the answers I intend to provide the next in line with the opportunity to find some.

I believe that this threat is serious enough that it could end the Sith. Philosophies must be set aside, and survival must shine through.

You know... that deep inside us all there is the call for power... the thirst everytime you tap into the darkside for more. You cannot deny that it is there! We try so hard to put inplace ideals and virtues to help govern ourselves... help guide us. I find it curious that we should find each other now, and that perhaps we can use our ideals to guide us in the end, when that call for power saturates us. And thus we might be able to overcome such, and drive our ideals into such raw currents. Perhaps then an order like yours and philosophis such as mine may shine through. I do look forward to such. However I think none of that will matter if we do not make it off this place alive, if the Sith are brought to extinction, if the threat I feel has a chance to burn the history and teachings we have, if this attempt to subdue the Sith is successful.

Thus I offer my hand in aid, for you when you feel the need, in hopes you understand our need to survive as Sith.

Trust, bargains, deals... who would ever trust a Sith, one whom would do anything to attain power... were Draconis and Mentok alike? Could understanding ever be reached? Though Draconis felt as himself as not one for long attempts at wisdom fill speeches and he hoped his feeling had been expressed.

    Nim
    Mountain Cave, Korriban Wilds

Nim followed, her keen eyes keeping watch around them even as she kept a watchful eye within the Force as well. Soon the quartet found the cave they were searching for. It seemed well protected by high walls, and it seemed to go deep into the mountainside. Mentok and the newcommer went in. She could sense a few creatures nearby, but nothing that they would need to worry about for now. Mentok began to speak with the man.

"Common ideas indeed." Mentok said. "It is surprising that my philosophy or its equivalent could be found outside of myself, although I suppose that is arrogance speaking." Mentok smiled a bit as they entered the cave, then switched to a more serious tone. "So what *IS* going on in this world? Are we really that unlucky so as to get caught in an Armageddon event?" The man turned to look outside, a thoughtful look on his face. "Or... some sort of.... invasion. I sense malice and determination laced in the air, and more so then the normal amounts."

"I do not know... The man answered. Nim noticed the tone in his voice. Something did not feel right, but it had nothing to do with the beings with her right now. It was something else, she could not put a cause to at the moment. Nim began to gently stroke one of the crystals that were embeded on her staff.

The man stood close to Mentok. "Though I know both of us sense the need to... figure out one another." Draconis said plainly. "I can tell you this. There is a foreign power here now, crawling across the skies and dirt... regarless of who or what it is. Its intentions could not be more clear... the destruction of this current order." There was a pause. "Though whether that is a good thing or whether to see the regime of Darth Vassago fall and be replaced by another at all... is not my concern. My loyalties and relationship with the being whom rules the Sith currently is not the issue. My concern is the Sith and the Sith as a whole alone. Nim's ears flicked at that thought. Ideals are fine, but when the motion came, action was always perfered. Even in such a diffrent philosphy than the main Sith order, survival was paramount. Nim was silent, even as she eyed the crstals around her wrist. There was somthing strange about this invasion. They had gotten no warning within the Force. This was more than a simple invasion. As she made a soft snort, crossing her arms, they began to speak once more.

"You know... that deep inside us all there is the call for power... the thirst everytime you tap into the darkside for more. You cannot deny that it is there! Location: Mountain Pass

Mentok listened to the ragged figure discuss philosophy, and the need for survival. Mentok continued to stare ahead out of the cave, letting the words of his partners wash over him. Yes, at the moment philosophy took a secondary role. Even a normal Sith would have to be trusted at a time such as this. The threat, this invasion force, was too large. Right now, like bugs escaping the exterminator, life was key.

The man smiled slightly. Even for agents of death such as the Sith, life still won out in the end. It was life's way. So gentle, yet as unyielding as durasteel in the pinch.

Nim's voice cut through Draconis' musings. Ever practical, she suggested moving deeper into the caves. Ah Nim. What would he ever do without her. He most certainly would have been cut down many a times musing if not for her reminders. She was his ever gracious wake-up call.

And what did Mentok think? Deeper would certainly be safer. But a part of Mentok was telling him to flee. Going deep into the planet would not make them any safer, and would do nothing but to prolong the inevitable.

    However...

These beings came from space did they not? So it was probably too late for escape anyway. Any effort to leave the planet would just lead to them being captured by their warships. To bunker down would probably be the best option.

"Yes." Mentok said. "Let us move into the cave. But we should not wait too long, giving our enemies time to corner and inevitably capture us. Action favors the victor, and so should we act. When our enemies lower their guard, we should make for ships and leave this accursed place."

The man turned to look into the cave at his fellow Sith,

    "Does this plan seem intelligent?"

    Draconis---Korriban Wild---Mountain Pass

Mentok respond to his stalwart companion suggestion about moving deeper into the cave. And turned a question to Draconis. "Does this plan seem intelligent?" Draconis wasa quick to reply, he knew what he had to do.

If you do so, I will not be joining you. I think clearly this threat is aware of our presence in some capacity. They have plunged into Korriban like a dreadnaught breaking apart the outer defenses with no effort. They are already among us, and it is inevitable that they find all of us... no matter what our allegiences, our strength or state. The end result is that they wish us out of the picture! ...Therefore I think the time for patience is near an end... simply because the blade is already swinging for our heads.

...And we need to at least meet it head on and slow it, direct it to the side in a sense... before I think we can have any chance of falling back and mounting a counter attack.

Draconis' voice was somber for a moment, as he pondered the momumental task ahead of them all. With hope in mind he began to speak again.

I am going to proceed back to the temple, what I do when I get there I do not know yet. But I feel myself being pulled back there for now.

For now I think our greatest strength, is that both myself and your order have been immersed in the wild here for over a year now, we know the land. But our numbers are too few, to effectively use it. If I can, I may attempt to syphon any survivors into the wilderness where we can reorganize and plan that counter attack. Vassago's temple is not the only one on Korriban, you know this... the darkside flows all over this world in the numerous temples, fortresses, and caverns. We need to use that to our advantage... draw our enemy into Korriban and use the whole planet against them.

Perhaps in my absence a strategy of yours could be to organize and prepare such places, however your strategy is your own to choose.

I have met you now, and your companion... our minds will not be so foreign to each other now, and perhaps that will be enough to allow one of us to reach out to the other in a time of need.

Draconis knew what he asked was a lot, they did not know much about each other, the few words, the slight body language shown was all that this group of Sith standing here had ever known of each other. So much at stake and so little to go off of. Draconis began to step away making his way back towards the cave entrance, before turning around to give Mentok a chance to add anything he felt was warranted.

    Nim
    Korriban Wild---Mountain Pass Caverns

Nim listened to the others talk as they sat talking. But her attention was being drawn to something deeper within the caves that they now stood within.

Mentok, hearing Nims concernts turned the respone into a question to the new person called Draconis. "Does this plan seem intelligent?" Draconis wasa quick to reply. " Nim used the fact over. Actually, there was nothing to suggest they knew of them. The temple was located elsewhere. But it did make sense that once they were through with the main temple, they would search the area for survivors.

Draconis' paused before he began to speak again. "I am going to proceed back to the temple, what I do when I get there I do not know yet. But I feel myself being pulled back there for now. For now I think our greatest strength, is that both myself and your order have been immersed in the wild here for over a year now, we know the land. We need to use that to our advantage... draw our enemy into Korriban and use the whole planet against them." Going back alone seemed somewhat folly to Nim. But if he did manage to pull back a few survivors, it could be intresting. Nim's ears twitched, as she peered off once more into the darkness. Somethieng else seemed to be pulling at her, and it was not the same path as this Draconis being.

Draconis spoke once more."Perhaps in my absence a strategy of yours could be to organize and prepare such places, however your strategy is your own to choose. I have met you now, and your companion... our minds will not be so foreign to each other now, and perhaps that will be enough to allow one of us to reach out to the other in a time of need."

Draconis began to step away making his way back towards the cave entrance, before turning and pausing. Nim turned and spoke.

"I understand you wish to go back to the temple. But I think doing so by the surface is foolhardy. A deathwish at best. Nim's ears twitched slightly. "I feel that what is needed to defeat the enemy is here. Close by. Nim held up her arm. The charms and crystals around them glowed dimly. Something powerful is here. Maybe that is even why the attack happened.I think we should start using Korriban to our advantage right now.Something disturbs the Darkside. Shades tried to overtake us eariler..."

Nim suddenly gave a deadly grin, as she gave a low huff and chuckle. She held up a stone that Mentok would know well. "I wonder if we could return the favor, to our inquisitive new neighbors..." she stated with another chuckle. The shade they had pulled from one of their own was still within the stone. She then tilted her head. "You know...Runes work BELOW the ground as well.." Nim chuckled darkly.

    Lord Manticore

    Sith Temple

The conflict raged all around him, fire, pain, anger, death. Lord Manticore was himself involved in a struggle against his designated foes and yet, he was keenly aware of all the other conflicts developing around him. They all came to him so clearly.

The blood red zabrak felt Re'van's unleashed fury and relished in it, just as she relished it in. In fact, he felt that it lent him strength. He even felt Michealle, the young and long haired Sith female, join in the struggle against what invaders remained at the Temple doors. At that moment, he also felt a distinct communication from Rilwen Shadowflame via the Force.

Manticore did not waste time with a smile or mere acknowledgement. It seemed Rilwen had been thinking along the same lines he was, and that fact served to solidify his resolve and spur him into action. In that same instant, Manticore drew deeper from the depths of the darkside as he initiated another, more direct attack. This one against the Kiasyd General.

Manticore waited for the oversized invader to bash his sheild against the ground once more, then suddenly used the force to pin the shield to the ground. Manticore did not need to know the creature's strength. He merely wanted him to struggle against the shield, to become focused on it. Manticore just needed him to do this for a second, seeing how he only had one arm to hold the shield with.

Upon the success of that feat, Manticore used the force to snatch several fist sized rocks from the surrounding rubble and launched them at the Hulking General. There was no way for the creature to know what the Zabrak had in mind. In fact, he couldn't know if the Zabrak was the one performing these extra actions, for Manticore made it seem that he focused only on the Shield.

Four rocks came streaking at the General at impossible speeds and angles. There was no possible way that he could deflect them all. Manticore aimed one at his elbow, hoping to crack the joint, and aimed the other three at his head. The elbow hit was meant to take away the use of his remaining arm. As for the other three rocks, one was aimed for his eye, which was meant to blind the creature and stun him. That would leave the other two to do the surgical work they were intended to. This was the real attack.

The one rock was aimed at the creatures mouth. Specifically his fangs. This rock was big enough to knock the Kiasyd general's teeth out and lodge itself inside his mouth so he could not bite down. The last rock travelled from the side, unseen. This rock was meant to deliver a devastating uppercut strike to the creature's jaw! The impact would cause him to forcefully bite down and crush all his force-draining teeth from his damnable mouth.

Manticore had envisioned this in a flash as his thinking melded with Rilwen's tactical suggestions. The rocks had been her idea, which seemed to come in answer to Manticore's intentions.

In the space of a heartbeat, the Dark Lord's apprentice growled and squinted his eyes even futher as he exerted a great effort! He brought forth his knowledge of the force and pulled all the stops, not holding back. The Kiasyd General had to be brought down. These invaders feared the Sith and their unbridled utilisation of the Force! In that respect, they feared the Sith with good reason. However, fear was a weakness, and that weakness had led the Kiasyd to commit a grevious mistake.

The Kiasyd attack on Korriban, their assault on the Sith Temple itself was proof of their desperate gambit to dispose themselves of a potential enemy which they saw as a real threat to them. They attacked the Sith because they gave in to their fears, and in doing so, allowed themselves to become weak. That is why, though much destruction would be wrought by the invading Kiasyd, in the end, they would know the bitter taste of defeat!

    IC: Michealle (Temple's Front Doors)

Summoning the dark forces that were all around and flowing free, she moved with fury, as her sabers came alive, and ran at them screaming, DIE!, trying to seprate them.

The two guards were not caught off guard as she hoped, and smiled as they went into defensive postions. Her sabers went into a figure eight, catching the right guards thrust to the chest. A smile crossed her face, but said nothing to neither of them. The left gaurd spun to the right, while the recovering gaurd, spun, and almost fell, went to the right.

Now she wished, she had someone near to take care one of them. But no, so she had to do this herself. The two gaurds were adept at fighting together and put Michealle on her heels, as they came in. One, going for a block, while the other thrusting in on the other side. Force leaping into the air, the strike missed, but the blocking gaurd was quick off the mark. His weapon, reached her leg and drew deep, blood red line down her ankle. Pain exploded, and she lost her concertration and fell to the ground hard and painful.

The gaurds knew that they had her cold. What they did not count on, was the female sith to blow fire from her mouth, from side to side, ingulfing them both in the flames. "To bad, I did not make it out, without a scratch." Michealle, tore off a strip of cloth, and wrapped her leg, and tied it tight. She got up, slowly, but the leg almost did not want to support her at the moment, but she carried on anyway.

The great doors, were marred by blaster fire and some goo, from the first gaurds that were here. She stood and gathered some strength and started to pull on the door to the right. She hoped that no one was gaurding this side of the doors too.

I have no intention of striding up to the gates.

    Draconis grinned.

Approaching entirely from underground would be best if we had the time, though we have an equal if not greater chance of getting lost even with our knowledge in the bowels of Korriban as we do successfully reaching the temple from this distance.

I will close the majority of the distance on foot, then move underground at the points I know in order to enter the interior of the temple.

...at least thats my plan. And we can most certainly used Korriban to our advantage ...and we will!

If there is nothing else my friends, I should get underway, for it will take me several days to reach the temple as is.

Nim laugh echoed within the caverns. It was low and deep as she moved slightly, looking down a certain passage. With a movement, she threw back her hood, and slipped her goggles off from her eyes, her eyes shinning brightly now in the darkened caves.

Sharp fangs showed as she spoke slowly. "Then, you know little of my kind. I
dont get lost underground. I can find anything within the grasp of the soil."

Nim tilted her head slightly for a moment. She then gave a wicked smile. "And I am sure we can better your time." Nim looked over to Mentok, and gave another deep laugh. She then looked back towards Draconis.

"We have a guide, of sorts. But if you've no wish to travel with us, it is up to you." She looked back at Mentok.

    "We need movement. Now."

She gently swung her staff down to hip level as she began to move inwards
slightly, her form dissapearing into the darkness, even as she slipped her

    Underground Caverns - Korriban Wilds

Nim heard Draconis speak, even as she made her way towards a specific tunnel, sniffing the air. "Indeed my friend, it has been sometime since my last encouter with your kind, I under estimated you then. You think you can get me to the temple faster?"[/i]

Nim removed her goggles, and looked towards Draconis. She simply smiled, giving a quick nod. Draconis replied, "Then lead on... "

Nim made a quick bound, and landed within the tunnel. She then pulled out from the folds of her clothing, and dark blue crystal. Her eyes shined slightly, as she silently mouthed words, dark and old. The crystal began to spin slowly, and Nim released her grip on the item. It spun slowly, hanging in the air until suddenly a tiny blood red beam of light shot from within the crystal, leading deep within the tunnel. Nim grinned, as she quickly scooped up the crystal. She sniffed the air, and then spoke softly.

"Sith old and living here. We cut under the mountains, and the gardians of the valley. Only the deep, do we now look for." Nim tunred and with a step, dissapeared down the tunnel. As she moved, she reminded herself to slow down for the others. Mentok, would say somthing, if he felt a need for it. The others did not see the caverns as she did. This was a close to home as she had ever been. She could sll but smell the diffrent metal ores that lay deep within the dank soil. That, and so much more. Her dark senses, were keen with the ebbs and swirls of energies that laid burried deep within the planet as well. It was as if it almost spoke to her. Nim smiled, licking her lips slightly. The touch of power was wonderful. But she kept her mind focused.

She found it full of irony, that they would now head to the very temple they had hidden themselves from for so long. But unknown invaders had prompted for very unusual and unique tactics. Perhaps, they would also gleem a few gifts as well. Nim have a snort..her version of a chuckle, as she moved deeper within the passage. It was a steep drop for quite a bit, and then just as suddenly, it leveled out. Nim twitched her ears and smiled.

Yes, many mysteries would be discovered on this journey. Like a dark sentinal, she waited for the others, her dark staff held in both hands, as she stood like a statue, her eyes barely visible. Ahead of her, the tunnel continued. And a bit further down, Nim could make out a change in the walls beyound.

    Curious, indeed.

    Draconis----Underground Caverns----Korriban Wilds

Draconis pressed forward they would have time to discuss things at length if needed during the journey and search to find an acess point to the Sith Temple grounds. Certain thoughts of betrayel did not escape Draconis mind... along with thoughts of the battle ahead, & returning to the temple. Draconis had put his faith in the female Defel it was easy to rely on Nim's abilities, for Draconis had no doubt her natural abilities were all that was necessary to guide them through the depths. And the Defel, Nim was leading them at a swift pace, as swift as one could move over somewhat rocky terrain. Sight was not a problem here, though it would have been welcomed. It was not entierly necessary from having composed oneself at the onset, thus one could feel out the cold damn cavern walls and follow them through the force. These two factors alowed them to navigate easily... Through the force every once and a while a spark of life could be felt as it clinged to a cavern ceiling, or scurried away. Even the touch of the dead could be felt, the lingering spirits that wandered the deep depths of Korriban. These things were of no consequense, but Draconis knew of things that could be. Typical beasts that lurked in the depths of cavernous planets, amplified by a place like Korriban turning those mythical creatures into much more than typical and much more of a threat than such.

It was this unseen, that was what troubled Draconis. The entire planet was in turmoil, unrest, it would be naive to think this stirring of the pot had not wrestled something from sleep... Draconis could feel everyone, Nim ahead, Mentok and his aids close as they traveled, it was a delicate balance keeping his feelings in touch as Draconis opened his sensory force abilities just enough to allow him to track Nim and stay within a short range... their force progection would echo out allowing them to see much, but also betraying them hence the caution. It did not take much to stay oriented through the force, but it also did not take much to serve them up on a platter for who knew what lurked about.

Draconis had not heard from Xen for several hours now, he knew he lurked close Draconis closed his mind to him despite knowing that as well his eyes would serve as a grand warning in this darkness, but the connection could affect their silent trek and it was not necessary to put such at risk. Draconis pressed on continuing to follow Nim's guide.
