    Those quotes are pretty funny.

I enjoyed my own Vader owns the boardwalk personally.

    I think these are mine:

"OMG LUEK SI TEH BESTEST HE CAN TAKE TEH UBER EVERYONE!"

    "POOF > LUKE!"

"He done teached him good, dadgummit!"

    "Fig, shoot, and consarnit."

    "WINDU got post number 1337! He's t3h ub3r, d00d!"

"Tradition, boredom, +1, upping the thread, needling the commish, punishing Corran when he gets on by making him scroll through 69 rows of ones, etc."

And these are in response to me/my comments:

"Ive seen spamming before but Pellaeon-Firke is just being sick."

"I was winning this Draft before you even showed up"

"When you correct grammar on these boards, it is only a sign of desperation"

I think those were KEVIN, Madine, and Ghost, respectively.

    and the third was suzuki

I believe that I am responsible for:

    "Kun just got stopped"

"Kun would simply spank Maul from here to next Tuesday." -- Which was said on a Monday, so translation 8 days of spankings

Anyone else notice the general apathy after awhile in this one?

I tend to believe that once people no longer had an investment in their team, they kind of drift away, as there is a lot of time to invest in the draft, and once they are out, they don't feel compelled to keep getting updates, or submit numbers.

However it was great to see some of the older gms, who were not involved in this game come back and comment, and yes I am looking at you Niktos and Qui-Gon-Jinn2.

Maybe it was the judges, who tended to be a bit predictable, but the things that would have been huge in previous drafts--Vader vs. Yoda, Yoda vs. Sids--weren't that big this draft.

Alot of those matches you mentioned we have seen several times already, through previous in draft incarnations and they have lost some of their allure. Also I think we as the judges did a solid job, as there were several upsets, so it is not like any thing was set in stone. This included Qui-Gonn going up in respect in the judges mind throughout the draft, and if you look he lost some early matches, yet beat better jedi later in the draft. And the once infallable Thon losing a couple of matches.

The problem with having 8 teams in a conference is that you can tell after drafting who was going to contend (at least, I could). The only call I really missed was KEVIN coming in where he did and Madine finishing lower than I expected.

You said yourself, you were shocked how well/poorly some Jedi & gms alike did. You would have thought that Suzuki would be in the loser's pool after the first round. I thought that Mr. Sith would have the better ds team for his conference. Once again it all comes down to the numbers. You can have a great team, but if you get bad match-ups you can bow out early.

I just checked. Go back into your old posts and find what you posted 11/28/04 at 4:45 PM board time.

Suzuki did get me back, but he corrected my grammar in my post instead of doing what you did.

Oh, and as to the Corran/Madine thing; I was wrong, but not entirely. Right after Corran posted that, Madine agreed, so I wasn't too far off.

Alot of those matches you mentioned we have seen several times already, through previous in draft incarnations and they have lost some of their allure. Also I think we as the judges did a solid job, as there were several upsets, so it is not like any thing was set in stone. And the once infallable Thon losing a couple of matches.

Hey, I'm not saying you did a bad job. I'm just saying that unlike last draft (or two drafts ago), when there were consistent disagreements between the judges, there weren't so many judgments that you weren't sure which way they were going to go.

Now, I disagreed with a few of your calls (several, actually, but that's besides the point), but the judges did a pretty good job this draft.

Those were individual matches; I still would have pegged Suzuki coming in where he did, even with the loss to Hand not coming when I expected it.

    These are my guesses:

Me - "My grammar is absolutely horrid in this post."

SB - "I want to have Nomi Sunrider's love babies"

Corran - "I have came to a realization that will shock you all. . . Jocasta Nu is better than Luke Skywalker."

Firke - "OMG LUEK SI TEH BESTEST HE CAN TAKE TEH UBER EVERYONE!"

Firke - "Revan > Luke Skywalker"

Moron - "Revan can only kill one person, and that is Edgar Allen Poe."

Suzuki - "I would take Luke alone over most of your entire teams."

    Firke - "POOF > LUKE!"

    Windu - "But I digress. I am giving Corran-Horn a headache"

Suzuki - "Ah well; at least it's not a notable essayist I have to fight next."

Corran - "Vodo was not the Yoda of his day."

    Kevin - "Darn skippy!"

    solojones- "*cough*Yodaisoverrated*cough*"

Ghost - "bburditt is lovin' the green dude"

Moron - "Tiin is the antichrist, and all those who draft him will perish."

Corran - "Oh, and there is no way in God's green galaxy that Malak could take Revan."

Me - "Vader currently owns the boardwalk and a hotel"

Ghost - "a deal worth reportedly 47 blue lightsabers taken from the cold, dead fingers of Jedi Knights"

Ghost - "Ive seen spamming before but Pellaeon-Firke is just being sick."

Firke - "This isnt spam, I just like to whistle!"

Corran - "Nah...that would make sense. Can't have that."

Me - "Sarcasm would be appreciated if it was more detectable."

    SB - "Nemmy-kins! I think someone needs a nappy-poo!"

SB - "Leave my protege alone!"

Corran - "I was winning this Draft before you even showed up"

Ghost - "I might just have to get back in the fray as well, and get myself some retribution."

Ghost - "The dead horse is in powder now!"

Suzuki - "Anakin has been the one kicking the aforementioned noun."

Firke - "He done teached him good, dadgummit!"

Windu - "I wouldnt mind fighting Burd, ya know, just for the exercise"

Corran - "In the interests of my cat, I think we should look at that match again."

Me - "I'm talking about the kind of magic like chocolate sprinkles on a chocolate milkshake."

Ghost - "BUT WE'RE TALKING PRIMES, BABY!"

    solojones - "Obi-wan > Qui-Gon + Jar Jar"

    Firke - "HAHAHA. HA. HAHAHAA!!!!"

Windu - "Kevin is now the Jedi Draft Trend Setter and may type in bold in all his posts"

Ghost - "Hey, Mr. Cochran, I've got a case for you."

Firke - "Fig, shoot, and consarnit."

Ghost - "Kun just got stopped"

Moron - "Those Assassin droids were pretty gnarly."

Moron - "Exar Kun will have to take counselling and write a book about his experiences now"

Corran - "Kun would simply spank Maul from here to next Tuesday."

    SB - "WINDU got post number 1337! He's t3h ub3r, d00d!"

Corran - "I'm an impatient human being"

Ghost - "Luke is the most whiney person ever, and can't fight his way out of a paper bag."

SB - "NANANANA BOOBOO YOU CAN'T CATCH ME!"

Suzuki - "I'm looking forward to wiping the floor with your whiny farmboy, your psycho flyboy, your snooty jedi girl, your wussy jedi kinden, and your cranky jedi woman."

Ghost - "When you correct grammar on these boards, it is only a sign of desperation"

Firke - "Tradition, boredom, +1, upping the thread, needling the commish, punishing Corran when he gets on by making him scroll through 69 rows of ones, etc."

SB - "Oh well, it's only a game"

Corran - "This is still going on?"[/b]

C'mon, Best was one decision away from winning, and he wouldn't have gotten nearly as far as he did without Luke, who picked up a win every round and clinched him the conference title. Sidious lost, what, two or three times? It should either go to the best player on the best team or the player that made the biggest difference, meaning either Luke or QGJ.

Oh, and this was THIS draft, not the 4th one.

EDIT: On the off chance I GM next draft, I'm going to take Olu's advice and name the team Jew-Unit.
