I'd be up for one!
you going in costume?
That would be funny if we did.
If you get on the show, tape it for me, and convert it (or just send me a copy of the tape) so I can watch it!
Not a problem
Slap the original on the tape while you're at it, and let me know how much it will cost to get it sent over!
So...who's interested in paying dear ol' Conan a visit??
Edit: By the way...got recognized again on the elevator this morning.
I'll go in costume.
My Sensei saw that...
I just e-mailed the conan obrian show... We'll see what happens!
Bumping this back up
'Bout time we take back our dignity by making complete fools of ourselves.
And STILL it goes on...for anyone who reads Entertainment Weekly, check out the last page where they actually interview Triumph. There's yet another mention of the "Star Wars Geeks"
This reminds me of one of the best motivational speeches of all time.
Psychotic, but absolutely right. We gotta take these bastards. Now we could do it with conventional weapons that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part.
Could you imagine what would happen if a brigade of Troopers just walked into Conan's theatre?
I was actually featured on VH-1 on a Springsteen special. People recognized me from that, and I actually picked up on Cyrano's thing to lose weight... I was fat drunk and stupid from the footage they used of me.
The sketch has surfaced in the Clevland FF boards. Your popularity has started to spread out to the Mid-West now. Congrats!!!
It could be around again also because Triumph has his own CD coming out. They had a "Making the Video" on MTV about a night or two ago.
I would imagine though they would nee to get our permission to but us on a DVD though....
Sam, not necessarily. Since you guys were all filmed outside and "in public" they don't need to have your permission to put that footage on a DVD.
If my understanding of the law is correct, if you are outside in public anyone can film you and use that footage as they wish, hence you guys not having to sign a release form to have the footage shown on T.V.
Basically, they can do what they want with it.
Not to mention that it's not like we use our likeness to make a living.
Can anyone make a copy of this sketch for me? I would love to see it. It seems like it's very funny and alot of fun. And to think being in the audience at Letterman was the peak
Click Here for the Triumph Sketch
You can also Save target as to save it to your hard drive. You know you want to.
I just watched this for the first time in ages. I still laughed my you know what off. It has been so long that I forgot that I was in it for more than 2 seconds.
I have never been recognized by a complete stranger though. I guess that is a good thing. I am like one of those background cantina aliens.
The funniest was when they showed it on the big screen during Triumph's instore last week.
And......I just saw part of the skit yet again tonight. Jay Leno had Triumph promoting his new CD. They showed Zippy aka "Which button calls your parents" and Storm Trooper with Mark hovering around in the background. I never get tired of seeing this skit. Funniest thing ever!!!!
SO we are on the DVD? Sweet.
