of course this is all speculation

 

I would be surprised to see Jar Jar!

Surprised and really pissed off.

 

But none of the actresses currently cast, save for Carrie (who is out for obvious reasons), is old enough to play a Mara type character. So unless it's someone they have yet to cast, or are really really keeping it a secret, she's not in the film as far as we know.

 

PLEASE be careful about speculation because they can lead to spoilers. I haven't heard anything about a 'red wig' so PLEASE be careful with the information you supply. Using cast announcements because they are official announcements to speculate are okay, but please don't go beyond that.

At least Jar Jar won't be in the films. According to the wook about average gungan lifespans, he'd be long dead by 34 ABY. So, yay?

And I think they managed to keep Gleeson, Ridley and the other people a secret because pretty much all of them were unknowns.

Anyways. I do think if Luke has a wife in the movies, they SHOULD use Mara, but I'm not holding my breath on Mara being in the movies. However, putting her in the books doesn't seem like a crazy idea. If you got her, use her.

 

Well the way I figure it, in addition to making the movie a success it's all about turning a profit. And if a profit can be made... They'll take the opportunity

I hate to be the devil's advocate, but you are still going to see it and buy the blu-ray even if Mara isn't even mentioned, aren't you? They can still make a profit by not including ANY of the EU. It's all about what fits what story they want to tell.

Now, if they can have a "new canon" book with Mara in it, it'll probably be a big success because all the "Legends" fans will buy it.

 

I was merely talking in general of course ill still buy the Blu-ray

No I don't expect them to shoehorn her in to appease the fans, just wishful thinking

All right, which of y'all just posted a fic chapter on FFN that referenced our beard discussion? And tomo-spiced ribenes (which I think ginchy came up with?)! Either way, it was brilliant and I just want you to come out, come out, whereever you are!

 

DAMMIT! That was good. We have a (possible) lurker and you should come out.

I've pretty much quit FFn because of a rather creepy incident, so I'm only reading stuff here so if you are out there, come post here!

 

Briannakin, my sympathies. FFN can be such a mess. I've had no particularly bad experiences myself, but see all kinds of weird trolling and crud there. It's kind of a Lord of the Flies venue.

 

I think those ribenes were actually mentioned as something Luke liked in Survivor's Quest, maybe... or Balance Point. One of the more 'L/M' books, anyway. But I saw that chapter that you're talking about and loved it!! I am behind on my reviewing over there, too. I have too much catching up to do!

Speaking of beardy challenges, are we going to have one, or was that a joke? Cause I may or may not be writing some um.... fic. I'd have to PG it down for the boards, however.
