Last night I finally edited a chapter of my story that has been languishing since Mom died. I hope I can remember how to write. I stared at it and my notes wondering how I was going to tackle it.

Anyways, it felt good to start again.

 

That is so awesome to hear, RM! Good luck with teh muse.

I have a few tricks and plans up my sleeve. We shall see what, if anything, comes of them.

By the way, all, if I may segue for a moment - I just used the advanced search function at the Archive, and found only 21 out of our 404 stories that featured both Luke and Mara as primary characters. Now, they're all great fics and encompass a wide variety of styles and genres, but as an L/M addict, I'd certainly enjoy seeing some more L/M stories submitted. If anyone has any questions about the submission process, becoming a reviewer, or the Archive in general, I or any of the other editors would be happy to answer them.

As I posted in the Monday Mush Mania thread:

I know this is a brave statement to make in this company, but I'm feeling bold.

I have never written a Luke/Mara fic...ever.

I explored this phenomenon, however vaguely, in my fisrt self realization fic.

But the write challenge or plot bunny could move me to do it. I'm a big Luke fan, but have never been able write the two of them together.

Help?

Dear Jade_eyes, I think the Redhead's creed is for anyone who's a fan of the wonderful Mara Jade. Adopt it as well! As I think we can all agree DelRey is our AU.

And to Gabri, it would be wonderful to have more L/M-centric fics Archived. I know a few talented authors who have been working towards submitting work. High-time I see what they're up to!

Maybe take a look at some of the fics in the index to give you an idea?

Bri-chan, I think those exact words every single time I try to talk people into submitting fics. They're burned into my brain.

Since my muse has come out of morning, I got bit by a second bunny. Not an L/M, but I think it will be enjoyable for many readers of the latest profics.

We should do a challenge where either Luke and/or Mara ends up in the slammer for a night. Can't you see Luke behind bars and Mara coming to bail him out (or to rub it in)?
