    Not Star Wars related in anyway, but I'm either going with one of these costumes for next year for MTAC and MSC. Tell me what you think. They are both from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (which comes out in 3 days.. omg..)

    First off, Reno from the Turks (aparently he is a good guy now). This is the easiest to do and according to my friend (who worships Sephiroth as the one and true god) I look the most like:
    [image=http://media.adventchildren.net/screens/official/official104.jpg]
    [image=http://www.cetraconnection.de/advent-children/film/charaktere/breno1.jpg]
    [image=http://www.cetraconnection.de/advent-children/film/charaktere/breno2.jpg]

    Second, Yazoo/Kadaj also from FFVII: Advent Children. These "Silver Haired Men" as they are known are somehow connected to Sephiroth (don't want to spoil anyone). I haven't decided which one I want to do. They both look very feminine and as far as I've seen in cosplay pics they are usually done by girls. Yazoo is my favoriate just because of his weapon (gunblade) but Kadaj is the leader of the three silver haired men and also sports a shorter haircut (which I like).

    Yazoo:

    Kadaj:

    [image=http://www.cetraconnection.de/advent-children/film/charaktere/bkadaj4.jpg]

    I'm gonna have to get some cool "Mako Eye" contacts (i hate putting things in my eye though.. its not normal). I think I remember either Kell or Grace posting a link to some cool contacts, but I can't remember.

    Anyway.. hopefully I can join some of you if you have a costume construction party either during the holidays/breaks or the summer for some help. I have no idea how to sew (my dad does though, grandmother was a tailor). I'm really excited about Advent Children release because FF7 was my favorite game of all time. Whatcha guys think? Which one would be cool? [face_dancing]

    Kadaj is very very awsome dude. I also can't wait for Advent Children to be released. Gonna try my hand at a Cloud cossie. And the contacts are comfortable. Unlike a grain of sand, or a pencil, (LOL) they were ment to go in your eyes. you should try to go to a place called "9mm FX" for your lenses. They got awsome stuff, they even have the "Naruto Sharringan" eyes. The Gunblade held by Yaz is much smaller than the gunblade held by "Squall" and I believe all three of them have one in this film. I remember the three of them shooting in the trailer.

    Yazoo has a double barrelled gunblade named "Velvet Nightmare"
    Loz has a shield/gun on his wrist named "Dual Hound"
    Kadaj has a twin bladed sword named "Souba"

    Yeah, Loz uses a gunblade in one scene. I guess Yazoo let him borrow it :p

    Here are some pictures I've collected to try to get a picture of the full costume. http://tk2486.com/AC/

    I have seen one person on cosplaylab that has a Kadaj costume made out of leather that looks fantastic, but I can't find any contact info on her. I'm not too familar with cosplay.com or cosplaylab.com

    When J cosplays as Cloud, I might crossplay as Kadaj. He's Pwetty. ^_^ (That's the kind of haircut I wish I could get, BTW)
    And yeah, cosplaylab can be a bit tricky to navigate sometimes. I know they have/had a feature where you could type in a city and see all the registered cosplayers there. Can't find it now. ><;
    But yeah, I posted a link to their contact lense place. To be honest, WildEyes now makes a lense that is the closest you'll get to the Mako eyes. It's called the Jaguar. It's basically the cateye contacts, only a teal color.

    I'm gonna get a set of those myself, cause Blaze has eyes like that.

    I wonder that myself. I'd imagine quite a bit, seeing as how...awesome and huge the costume was. Hehehe...apparently the auctioneer either didn't have the helmet, or kept it.

    I sure would have!

    OH yes, yes, yes. Even if just for the one tiny swatch I got of Padme's ROTS green gown - now I have something concrete to go by when I start dying my fabric!
    And the pictures!! The pictures in the book are incredible. Definitely worth it.

    Now that is one book I definitely want to add to my collection. What's the difference between the deluxe and standard editions, Kell?

    The standard edition is just the book, the deluxe comes with all the goodies, extra booklets, fabric samples, a DVD, etc.
    I got mine from the FIDM online store - amazon doesn't have it in stock yet and won't until october! I originally had mine preordered there, but I couldn't wait any longer, haha.

    I am looking into a place to have costuming meetings. Go to the members only section of the SMT boards for details.

    Glad to see the ball is rolling in the right direction again. Do you guys know that if you do a yahoo search for "Memphis costumes" the 4th link is to the SMT? I tip my hat to you Gina.
