DAC? David Allen Coe?
I wouldn't be surprised if DAC was part of DAC's evil scheme..........
DAC = DAC
LIKE A MOBILE DAC!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh you know DG, I had to lol a little to show how tired I am
You better believe it D-Dec, you better believe it
If you're so tired why not go and sleep?
d-dec? I like it.
as a matter of fact, D-Gang, I will!
Currently doing laundry, working on reading through articles for a class paper that are horrendous, and I have to work tomorrow. So I need to get these done in some of few rare free hours
That and how else can I rightly sing:
As I work and walk to get stuff done
Rest well D-Dec, catch a few z's for me
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! *runs away*
Well, looks like have plenty of room on the dancefloor now
Lol gets auto corrected to Lok.
DAC means Darth Auto Correction
Should have went to bed a lot earlier as well... Face_tired
Get you an espresso and some chocolate, you'll be bouncing off the wall in no time.
Hello I finally made it.
Glad to have you here!
Hey DG Bro/Daddy
How are you tonight Tee sis/daughter?
I guess that I better explain this to those that don't hang out with us. Tee was originally my e-sister and later on decided to adopt me as her e-father as well so she's my sis/daughter.
Old stories! I love them! And with the new movie ahead, lots of old faces are coming back, so lots of memories comes back as well.
Btw, Quick-Games started its sign up!!
I already signed up.
Hooray! Master Tee has arrived!!
DG: explain to me this whole e-family stuff, please. I don't quite get it.
It's nice to meet you, Sabine. My name is Ian.
Mitthy: DANCE! DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANCE!!!
I will attempt to. Let's start with what of it do you not understand?
where does it come from?
That I honestly do not know but I will make a guess. It probably started with teenagers who developed friendships online and decided to "adopt" each other as brothers or sisters. I guess it's sort of like in RL where someone may refer to their closest friends as being like their brothers/sisters or even calling them brother/sister.
how prevalent is it on the JC?
It was rather prevalent back when I first joined which was just after ROTS was released but until recently, the practice of joining/forming an e-family was pretty much nil since we didn't really have any new people joining the boards. Those of us that stuck around and already had an established e-family still referred to each other as bro/sis/mom/dad/aunt(never saw e-uncle mentioned though). Once we finally got the move over with and episode VII was announced, we started getting several new members and the practice has started back up but isn't yet to the level that it was prior to say 2008.
How do you decide who's who/ how is it initiated?
Speaking just for myself, usually it's the other person that asks me to be their e-dad(that seems to be the case anymore since I'm old ) once we have been friends on here for a while. For some reason, some of the younger members look to me as sort of a father figure on here.
