Well, the boards are on Pacific but the ball drops on Eastern - I live on Eastern, so I wouldn't know the extent to which the rest of the world follows New York's coverage, but if that's some type of standard, we could follow that.

Or we could just pick a convenient time zone and run with it. :p

EST is an arbitrary standard, so I guess Pacific works just as well. I personally am in... something... It gets confusing.

Anyway, just a reminder that today is the last day I'll be accepting CSes for my Justice League RP, so if you're interested please get them in. :)

    Happy New Year, everyone! :)

And I have to wonder if life can speed up any faster for me. Ugh. *headdesk* In March, I'll be registered on the boards for six years. I can still remember that day clearly! 2009 already, ugh!

    Behaviour = newbdom.

Eh, registration date matters. I guess it depends on how you consider the term 'newb'.

I personally go with "Newb" is length of time and "n00b" is behavior. Although it's very much a person-to-person thing, methinks.

Speaking of last pages, whoever makes the last post really ought to make a Douglas Adams reference...

    Five to go![face_worried]

    Four to go...

It does deserve a nice send-off. The first NSWRPF social thread should go out with a bang, and a reference to Douglas Adams.

Or something trippy like, "Isn't this where..."

and then on the opening of the new version...

    "...we came in?"

    Two.

That's also a pretty good idea, Peng. Little "The Wall" reference never hurts. Couldn't they just go with "The Other Social Thread at the End of the Galaxy"? Or possibly "Life, the Social Thread at the End of the Galaxy, and Everything"?

    One

From a cosmic sort of perspective, this is indeed a pretty significant event. It demonstrates that this forum has had enough sustained activity to graduate a social thread, and that its starting to develop its own lore and legend. Sending this thread off is an indicator that the NSWRPF is starting to mature from an infant test board of the SWRPF to now a viable thinking child of it. We still have a long way to go with it, but this represents an important first step. Every single person who posts in the NSWRPF should be proud of this accomplishment.

    :)

Take it home, Douglas Adams! You have this ModHammer's blessing! :D

"Er..." he said, "hello. Er, look, I'm sorry I'm a bit late. I've had the most ghastly time, all sorts of things cropping up at the last moment."
He seemed nervous of the expectant awed hush. He cleared his throat.
"Er, how are we for time?" he said, "have I just got a min?"
    And so the Universe ended.
