This is a thread to dicuss your favorate smugglers, bounty hunters,and mercenarys.Essentialy this thread is about anyone that you would think would b considerd a Space Cowboy.

Jango Fett before his humiliating death at the hands of Mace Windu.

Before Geonosis, Fett was the best bounty hunter in the galaxy.

Talon Kardde as the best smuggler. I really can't think of many EU(post RoTJ)bounty hunters.

I've got to add Booster Terrik.

 

Kir Kanos is a must.

 

I would say Quinlan Vos. At least, I see him as one.

Also, Bossk was always quite cool. And how has Boba not been mentioned?

 

Pfft, OT Fett owns all.

And what, we mention Han without Chewie? They're the ultimate Space Cowboy team!

 

Everyone here has to agree Lando is the golden space cowboy.

ahh com'on if your going space cowboy you gotta count some of the Rogues in there. Wedge, Tycho, Janson, Hobbie, Horn, ya they are all cowboys.

but if you are talking about ner-do-wells, then Han is top of the list with chewie of course. Along with Boster and Talon.

I toss my vote in for Han and Chewie. Lando was a close second though.

 

What I always had trouble understanding is how most of these "cowboys" are such good guys, but there are people who want to shut them down so badly. They get such a bad reputation! More often than not, we find that smugglers in the GFFA are doing something good- while maybe a bit illegal, they're doing it to serve a greater good.

It's so easy to see from an outsider's perspective, though.

Looks like this thread hasn't been active for a while ... let's hope its not dead. I was sad when I logged on and found a Talon Karde fan-club thread, only to find out that it was locked.

So far, Karde (and his men) have been my favorite EU-only characters (mind you, I'm only 3.5 books in).


Would you classify Ghent as a "Space Cowboy"? ... He started off as one of Karde's men. He's been my favorite character thus far (Karde comes in second), again for EU-specific (not in any movies)
