Anyone get the New Essential Guide to Alien Species? Is it worth it?

Also, apparently book 7 of LOTF is called Fury.

Tempest is very.......Denning. If you like Denning, you'll like it. If you don't, you won't. I happen to like Denning.

I finished it... I had no preset opinion of Denning. I found it slow to start and as I got used to his writing it flowed better... I so far like him least of the 3.

Characters that have been around for years die, we meet a few old friends (one REALLY old friend in fact), Luke and Lumiya meet, and Jacen falls even further.

    Spoileriffic, yet vague! ;)

I picked up Allegiance yesterday, and am about half way through it. After Outbound Flight, I was worried...but I have to say this book is good! It is in my opinion Zahn's best. It is fast paced and interesting (although, I am not sure I like the Mara Jade arch, maybe that will get better soon)... :D

As much as I love Zahn's work, and I do (Outbound Flight is my favorite SW book EVER), I simply cannot justify spending $25+ on a book that's barely over 300 pages. I'll wait for that for a gift or failing that, paperback. I need bang for my buck!

I put my request in at the local library. I am glad to hear you are enjoying it so much. Hopefully my turn will come up soon and then we can "discuss".

I saw AMAZON.com had coppies for $17.13 and from other sellers starting at $15.00 and $14.99 for the book.

Also has anyone read DARK TIMES comic? I missed books 1&2. Does anyone know where there might be spare at any of the stores of best to look online?

I finished reading Exile. And I must say, in my opinion, its the best one out of the series, so far. Aaron is such a fine author and really knows how to write a wonderful star wars story. Like many others, however, I am getting tired of how long its taking Jason to turn Sith.
