I'm about 60-70 pages in so far (slow reading due to personal issues), but so far it is excellent. I love seeing Nute Gunray get PUNK'D by Greivous for leaving behind the mechno-chair (the one from TPM) on Cato Nemoidia. Also, great interaction between Anakin and Obi-Wan, I espically loved the chase sequence on Charros IV. And Palpatine is slimy as ever in this book.. Great book so far!

 

Scott you can borrow mine if you want.

 

That would be awesome if someone could lend it to me on here, then I could give it back at the next meeting or something.

 

I will bring my copy tonight. I think you will really enjoy it! It is sad to read the Jedi being led around by their noses though.

 

I picked up a copy of Jude Watson's 'Legacy of the Jedi' yesterday. I haven't started it yet, but I will let you all know how it is...

 

Hopefully that's a book for older readers as well, it looks like it's for younger kids.

 

Anyone want to do a trade/loan on any books. I have become obsessed and can't seem to get enough of the books. I started X-Wing Series-Wedge's Gamble last night at 8pm and finished it a 3am. UGH! I napped today with my 3yr old. LOL! I have gotten alot of books from thrift stores and borrowed from one friend and then there is the library. But I just can't get enough. Let me know if you want to trade/borrow/loan any and I will let you know what I have.

Has anyone read Jedi Trial?

I saw it at Borders the other day but didn't get it cause I wait til they are in paperback.

All my books are at home. (I'm at school right now). So I can't directly give them out right now, but I can have my sister give them to Dajuan's fiancee. When I'm home this weekend, I'll try to find time to make up a list.

 

I have read Jedi Trial. I thought that book was pretty good. Lots of military strategy in it.

 

I finished reading Yoda: Dark Rendezvous this week. This was one of the better SW books I have read. Lots of talk about the Dark Side, mostly philisophical, but there's that whole Kenobi "point of view" line you have to remember. Lots of good lightsaber action, I loved the temple tourney. Scout's character got a little better towards the end, that made me happy. I didn't really like her at all in the first place, still don't really care for her, but oh well. I liked Whie's dream that he was killed by a Jedi, NOT by a Sith, so he knew that Asajj wouldn't kill him. Great foreshadowing there.

A good 4 out of 5 for me.

 

But I thought Asajj wasn't Sith...

I started LoE again on Monday and finished it early today. I'm that excited. I love some of the quotes, like:

Anakin: Did you disable the tractor beam, Master?
Obi-Wan: Not a skill I expect to draw upon again, but yes.

 

Dark Nest I: The Joiner King came out today! I've read a bit of it, I'm in chapter one (didn't get much read on my 20 minute break at work today, lol). This is very exciting. I feel nostalgic reading about the Solos and the rest of the EU characters again.

 

Scott, I tried to pick to it up today at Barnes and Noble and they didn't have it out!! I will try again tomorrow.

 

How long after the NJO does Dark Nest take place?

 

Five years, since Ben is now seven in this new book.

 

Sweet, I didn't even know that it was coming out. I'll have to pick that up tomorrow.

 

I have not gotten this far yet to this book. Who is Ben?

The Desperate mission and Secrets of the Jedi by Jude Watson. I enjoyed then very much.

I have the new mace Window one ordered too ,"ShatterPoint" I think

 

Ben would be Luke and Mara's kid.

 

Someone will have to let me borrow some books so I can catch up. The last book I read was the defeat of the Yuuzhan Vong. How far behind am I?
