Sorry for the delay in updates!

    Results from week one:
    The Charismas 67 over Titania7 52

gopackgo 38 over Mon Calamari Sauce 28 (high scores - why couldn't I have played one of them! :D)

    Acme Labs
    71 over Fightin' Wookiees 63

Death Stars 65 over Ewan's (Female Dog) 53

    Steel
82 over ModBolts 71 (don't know how wise it is to beat up on the mod! ;))

The New Jedi Order 65 over Darth Otters 65 (first tie I've ever seen!)

    Byes:
There are no byes this week, either. Byes will not start until next week, so you can leave your team as is or do a little switch-a-roo if you're so inclined.

    Rankings:

    1. Steel
    2. Acme Labs
    3. The Charismas
    4. Death Stars
    5. gopackgo
    6. Darth Otters
    7. The New Jedi Order
    8. ModBolts
    9. Fightin' Wookiees
    10. Ewan's (Female dog)
    11. Titania7
    12. Mon Calamari Sauce

    Matchups for week 2:

    gopackgo vs. Titania7
The New Jedi Order vs. The Charismas
Mon Calamari Sauce vs. Acme Labs
Fightin' Wookiees vs. Ewan's (Female dog)
    Death Stars vs. Steel
    ModBolts vs. Darth Otters

    That's it for this week.

...oh, and I was just letting you all think that my team blew this week...we were just psyching you all up for the big fall...or something like that...

This probably belongs in the other thread, but I thought it was also appropriate here.

    Subject: Appleton Court Case

APPLETON(AP) - A seven-year-old boy was at the center of a Appleton, Wis.

courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over

who should have custody of him. The boy has a history of being beaten by

his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in

keeping with child custody law and regulations requiring that family unity be

    maintained to the degree possible.

The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him

more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When

the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried

out that they also beat him.

After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning

that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the

judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should

    have custody of him.

After two recesses to check legal references and confer with child

welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the Green Bay

Packers, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating

    anyone.

    Hey, Hey, Hey

    Guess whos in first place?

    The Death Stars!

Of course! It was destined to be this way.

Although this next week I will have to use several bench players because of byes, I think I can still keep the lead! :)

This was the first week I even bothered to enter the football pool at work ($3 entry fee, the prize this week was $62). Needless to say I won. As if there was any doubt...

Thanks, I had a good feeling about my picks all along, but to actually win was kinda surprising. Maybe I know more about football than I thought (I'm far more a baseball guy, obviously). :p

Well, I will admit I no nothing about baseball. I love football, and trying to talk myself into adopting the Rams, but it is hard because I am a die-hard Broncos fan. :D

Stay with Denver, they actually have a pretty good team and shot this year. They're not going to beat Indy (my Superbowl pick), but hey, they got a chance.

And I totally just noticed you rolled your eyes at my team's name back in August Danielle. Bah. :p

I think either Indy or Cincinatti or going to win the Superbowl.

Although I don't know much about football, I do know that I like the Raiders!!!
